Did you know

Mary (in the Bible): In the Gospel of Luke (Luke 1:26–38), the angel Gabriel was sent by God to announce to Mary that she would conceive and give birth to Jesus, the Son of God. This event is called the Annunciation.

Muhammad (in the Qur’an and Islamic tradition): In the cave of Hira near Mecca, the angel Gabriel (Jibrīl in Arabic) appeared to Muhammad with the first revelation, commanding him to “Read/Recite” (Iqra). This marked the beginning of the Qur’anic revelation.

So, in both Christianity and Islam, the angel is Gabriel — seen as the divine messenger who brings God’s word to humanity.

  1. This is obviously a case of “blind belief” which has no connection to reality, ‘cos if you look at both religions the message they both convey is the death of all who don’t believe in their respective myths!!
