Love, Sex and Spirituality

Love, sex and spirituality have much in common but first  “What is love?”  A question mankind has pondered and contemplated since the beginning.  And the question of  “What is sex?” is no less problematic and both are questions  we generally have answers, but is it the complete answer?

Love is the greatest emotion. It is said Love conquers all and some believe it is better to have lost in love than to never have loved at all.   Love has different levels of emotions for each person. From loving our pet, parents, kids, friends and partners, we all experience  love differently.  Some love others freely while others try to hide their emotions.

Love is infinitely created and available from the source of all life.   Love flows from the Spirit of God, some may refer to as the Holy Spirit. Others refer to as Universal Energy, intelligence beyond our understanding.  It is the purest form of energy encompassing all.    We all have the ability and desire to connect to the purest and highest form of love.  According to the Law of One,  our purpose  in life is to learn the many ways of love,  including love for those not close to us. Jesus’ message was love thy neighbor as yourself and love your enemies. Another interesting message from the Law of One is love and light are the same, and Jesus tells us we are from the light, in the Gospel of Thomas.

What about sexual love. Some believe it a subject that should not be discussed. Others may consider it sinful and forbidden. A core function of religion is to regulate and control sexuality and the control of sexuality is not only a moral imperative, but a way to maintain control of followers.  Why are so many spiritual movements obsessed with eradicating the sexual aspect of our lives?    One reason may be the body and the intellect are connected and, in cases of sexuality, the body may completely overcome the intellect and the spirit.  In love and friendship, two spirits seem to feel and communicate with each other by affection and  the union of their bodies.  The body and spirit are intertwined, and as physical connection with one may lead to connection with the other. Sexuality is such a part of human nature that despite academic assertions that gender is socially constructed, there seems to be something about sexuality that transcends culture. The point at which the sexual transcends the cultural is where the sexual becomes the spiritual.

From the book by Dr.Vladimir Antonov , The Original Teachings of Jesus Christ, according to Gospel of  Mary Magdalene, when she was blamed for adultery and brought for judging to Jesus: “They caught me and wanted to stone me. I, sinful, loved one man who was married and had three children. Relatives of his wife brought me to the square and began to shout in a loud voice, ‘Let us kill the adulteress! She desecrated the law!’ “Then… Christ told them, ‘Let him, who is without a sin, throw the first stone!’ And (He)… made the crowd disperse.

“Then He approached me and kneeled before me. “… I was burning with shame and fear. The sublime was taking place in me, in the soul. I fell on the ground and cried. He stroked my hair and said: ‘My dear sister, find strength to listen to Me! Much evil exists on this Earth, many lies have been said by the evil one! Forget that you are a sinner and tell Me whether your heart lives when you love?’

‘It does, Lord! When I do not love, it is dead!’ ‘Then love, heavenly sister, and do not sin anymore by thinking that you are a sinner.’” Jesus also told her the following: “What is sinful in this world is righteous in My Father’s Kingdom! The (True) Life is the life of love, not the life of hatred!  “Many of the ‘righteous’ hate and condemn. But I say to you, an adulteress who does not hate will be better in the Judgement Day than the ‘righteous’ who condemn!” (Questions of Mary, 13-15)

Sexual love could be the greatest gift two people can share.   It is interesting  that many scientists and psychologists believe that desire or lust  is a bodily urge,  much like hunger or the blood’s need for oxygen. For anyone who has  had those sleepless nights,  driven to the edge of despair by an This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 46505780_1980974068616481_480245586428166144_n-300x241.jpgunquenchable desire for another, is probably very believable for many.  According to clinical psychologist Dr. Rob Dobrenski  “in many ways we can’t control what we desire because it is a hard-wired emotional and physiological response.”  Perhaps this is a prelude, not only to learn and understand love, but to love passionately; to be able to fall in love;  and learn of the powerful emotion affects of love, for us and those around us.

According to the Law of One , there is a sexual energy transfer when two lovers who are at the  same spiritual level, merging into oneness. The energy overwhelms the lovers, emerging them with the peace, calmness and love  that cannot be found anywhere else  on earth.    An euphoria that could only be describe and the oneness when we merge  with Infinite Intelligence.

The Law of One discusses the beneficial energy transfer who are at the same level, when their love is in green ray, or heart chakra.   In session  26.38 discusses the transfer and how the energy transfer will be blocked if either lover has fear of possession, of being possessed, or  desiring possession or desiring being possessed.  Emotional blockages  prevent further development.

Emotional blockages come in all forms of life situations. What we have been taught about sex,  sexual abuse, using sex to control or hurt others, sexual misconduct,  or any negative sexual experience.

It is the process of learning about love through sexuality , it is  an art of giving yourself and your love fully  to your partner through sexual relationships. And only a combination of sincere and giving love on the side of both partners can lead to energy transfer.

Our sexuality was conceived by Infinite Intelligence not only as a means of reproduction but also as a method to  develop  spiritually.  It may facilitate the cultivation of such aspects of love as tenderness, care, self-giving, merging of two consciousnesses into one, which prepares one to the merging with Infinite Intelligence.

Tenzin Palmo Jetsunma interviewed about romanticism that makes us confuse genuine love with attachment – and how it causes suffering in relationships.

We are on earth is to learn and understand Love and how to balance it with wisdom.  Consider a ethically correct spiritual sexual life directly contributes to developing the ability to love. God is Love and Love is energy. If we want to merge with Infinite Intelligence,   we should transform ourselves into Love as well by living in a  state of spiritual awareness with the highest priority Be loving to yourself and others; be compassionate about  people, animals and our  planet; know and understand the Oneness of all, and consciously attempt to honor this Oneness. Radiating  love and light is the start for us all.

Buddha said, “For hatred will never put an end to hatred; love alone can. This it the unalterable law.”

Spiritual Healing and Our Health

As we go through life, sooner or later we will face disturbing effects of illness, diseases and failing health.  The medical system is failing, ran by the pharmaceutical  corporations; our food supply is being replaced by nutrient  deficient food;  genetically modified foods and, glyphosate has been found in the water supply.  Even the air we breathe is questionable. When we are  focused on all the obstacles we face daily, it is difficult to stay committed to a healthy lifestyle.  Sometimes it helps to remember we are here for a purpose; to discover our true selves.

With falling health, our human bodies become frail, our minds become confused with fear and anger, feeling defeated.  But our spirit, our higher self,  tells us to keep going, to not give up. Most do not realize that we have been programmed since birth. Our education, media, political and religious systems play an integral part of who we have become and how we think. Our lives are connected to family, friends, work, school and the material world, all affecting our health;  positively and negatively.

As we begin to discover our true selves,  spiritual healing begins with the realization there is a Source,  Universal Intelligence of pure sacred energy,  that connects us all.  We begin to think and believe we can heal ourselves.  Controlling the mind is key, not only for our health be for our spiritual journey.

Buddha said, “Hard it is to train the mind, which goes where it likes and does what it wants. But a trained mind brings health and happiness. The wise can direct their thoughts, subtle and elusive, whenever they choose: a trained mind brings health and happiness.”

We have to deprogram ourselves, so to speak, and perhaps think differently.  There is another world that is inseparable from our physical world that cannot be detected with the five senses; our metaphysical  world.  It is the world of the Source, pure energy simply beyond our understanding. It is the energy generated by our  hearts and minds. Science is beginning to study what we already know.  One  study makes a striking correlation between heart rate and the electromagnetic energy from the sun and earth.  Even  health care providers are understanding the correlation between spirituality, religion and mental health.

The Source is our life line.   In Chinese cultures, this is known as  chi or qi and other cultures ki, prana, chakras and kundalini.  Our  body, mind, and spirit have a life force  we call electromagnetic energy or energy that cannot even be measured or thoroughly understood.   Sunlight  is something we cannot live without. Light is the food for all life on earth. The human body, according to the doctrine of chromotherapy, is basically composed of colors.  Isn’t that what Jesus said, We are from the Light?  We know insufficient sunlight will result in low Vitamin D deficiencies, leading to the development of prostate and breast cancer, memory loss, and an increased risk for developing dementia and schizophrenia.  We have been told to wear sunscreen to protect ourselves but what is really happening?    We are light beings with chakras and the energy of the sun has the colors of the rainbow. Every creature and plant on earth is engulfed in light that affects its health conditions.

Grounding, as we all know when we go to the beach, improves sleep and reduces stress.  Grounding is bare skin to the earth, perhaps walking or performing Qigong or chi gong,   or any meditative practice outside barefoot. It is an excellent way to cultivate energy. We all wear shoes and that prevents us from getting the benefits from the earth. Grounding is a simple way to prevent and help inflammation with these techniques.

Emotions control who we are and what be become. Paracelsus, Father of Modern Medicine  said “The spirit is the master, imagination the tool, and the body the plastic material . . . The power of the imagination is a great factor in medicine. It may produce diseases in man and in animals, and it may cure them . .. Ills of the body may be cured by remedies or by the power of the spirit acting through the soul.” Thoughts and emotions control our destiny, so think what you want to become and do it in love, the strongest of all emotions.

Meditation and prayer  are our connection to the Source but also essential in controlling the overactive mind. According  to Dr. Andrew Newberg,   meditation and prayer positively changes our brains. He also said that the brain has two primary functions that can be considered from either a biological or evolutionary perspective. Essentially,  we are hard-wired  for God, the Source.

A 12 minute exercise, called the Kirtan Kriya is a type of meditation, practiced daily for 8 weeks, will improve cognition and activate parts of the brain that are central to memory.

The power of visualization is a tool we can use for healing.  Your brain is constantly using visualization in the process of simulating future experiences.   This happens so naturally we generally aren’t even aware it is happening, much like we are unaware of our breathing or heart beating.  If you are not aware  of it then you are not actively directing the process. You can learn to use visualization to actively create future simulations that can help you improve goals that you set for yourself, such as healing.  The same thing may apply to the lost mode of prayer.  Visualizing your prayer  as if it has already happened instead of  asking for it.

We live in a world of distractions. Fear, anger, stress and greed will wear the body down, but love is the one emotion that will overcome all.  In your own way, try to cultivate love in everything you do.  Jesus said love your neighbor as you love yourself. According to the Law of One, our purpose on earth is to learn to balance  love and wisdom and be of services to others.    Healing  starts with the mind and the realization of the power within, a change from traditional thinking.   It is  just you, your higher self with help from the Source. All the same divine energy connecting as one.  All waiting on you.

Jesus Secret Sayings 18 and 19

As we continue our journey exploring the Gospel of Thomas, 114 secrets sayings of Jesus, consider the possibility that Jesus’ message was different from what we have been taught. Perhaps one of his messages was we could do the same works as he performed and we were like him. We simply have to trust in him and believe his message.  In   John 14:12.  Jesus said “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.”

Jesus had special abilities even as a young child,  and unlike us,  was able to  develop his abilities  at a very young age. According to the Infancy Gospel of Thomas, and one of the earliest Infancy Gospels believed to be written around 150 AD, Jesus did experience difficulties.   The Gospel deals with Jesus birth to the incident in the temple found in Luke 2:40 . When he was 5 years old, he commanded the waters of a brook to flow into pools by speaking a word.  In another story Jesus makes 12 sparrows out of mud and told them to fly and they did. Other  stories depict a not so positive Jesus.  He withers one child and kills another on the spot when he bangs into Jesus shoulder.  Jesus also kills a new teacher but brings him back to life.  There are many  others stories available in the  Infancy Gospel of Thomas,  found  at the Nag Hammadi Library containing all the gospels discovered in 1945.

Jesus spoke in parables and metaphors; in an esoteric way.   His 114 sayings in the Gospel of Thomas are believed to be his words; untouched by scribes and church fathers for nearly 2000 years.  Now they are available for your  interpretation.

According to the Gospel of Thomas,  the basic religious experience is not only the recognition of our own divinity but specifically the recognition of one’s origin; the light as in saying 50.  In order to return to our origin, we should discover who we are by looking within ourselves and experience the kingdom of light, peace and life.

So let’s explore the sayings 18 and 19 of Jesus secret sayings. The Gospel of Thomas saying  (18) The disciples said to Jesus, “Tell us how our end will be.” Jesus said, “Have you discovered, then, the beginning, that you look for the end? For where the beginning is, there will the end be. Blessed is he who will take his place in the beginning; he will know the end and will not experience death.”

Perhaps  Jesus was telling us when we are born, we are positive divine energy, the spirit or soul. While on earth we are in school and this is our learning ground.  Shortly after we are born we have forgotten who we are and if we remember while we are alive and know our true selves, we will not experience death. In saying 3 Jesus tells us to know ourselves.  Consider the phrase “will not experience death”. Could this be referring to the cycle of reincarnation?  When we finally remember who we are and learn our lessons, we do not have to do it  again.

Many mystics, religions and other belief systems believe in the cycle of reincarnation, including   Jainism,Hinduism, Buddhism, and Sikhism. The idea of reincarnation is found in many ancient cultures, and a belief in rebirth/metempsychosis was held by Greek historical figures, such as Pythagoras, Socrates, and Plato.  The Essenes were a religious sect during the time of Christ that lived away from the towns. Instead they lived in simple communities. The Essenes practiced the seventh day sabbath, believed in reincarnation and nonviolence to all living creatures.  Some believe Jesus studied and was part of the Essenes.

(19) Jesus said, “Blessed is he who came into being before he came into being. If you become my disciples and listen to my words, these stones will minister to you. For there are five trees for you in Paradise which remain undisturbed during summer and winter and whose leaves do not fall. Whoever becomes acquainted with them will not experience death.”

This is a very difficult saying, but again the phrase, “will not experience death.”  Perhaps Jesus meant blessed is the spirit before it is born in the  human body and when we understand and follow his teachings,  we will be guided to discover  our true self and find our way home.  The tree of life is mentioned in many different ancient and modern cultures, as well as religions and spiritual practices.  The world tree of life is a symbol of manifestation in many cultures as it holds the gateway to knowledge about the true nature of reality and oneself.  The five trees that do not lose their leaves may represent the leaves do not die and provide a path and guidance to enlightenment. The picture to the right is a comparison of a fingerprint and the truck of a tree.

The number five may have even more significance. According to Hinduism, the number five is a symbol of the physical body and the planet earth. Ether is the first element, the essence of God.  Air is the next element, fire  is the third element, water is the fourth element and earth is the fifth element. He human body is made of all the elements. In the Bible, the number 5  is significant because of the creation of man, with  five fingers, five senses and five toes. In Buddhism there are  “5 Skandas or Aggregates”,   form, feeling, sensation, volition and consciousness. In Judaism, the first 5 books of the Torah are used for the bible code.  In Islam,  the five pillars are shahadah, witnessing the oneness of God and the prophethood of Muhammad are regular observance of the five prescribed daily prayers, paying zakah, fasting during the month of Ramadan, and performance of the hajj at least once in a lifetime.

In the Law of One session 15.12, we are instructed  how  to balance our energy centers, the first five Chakras.   First is to understand and accept the energy, second is emotions, third is ego, fourth is learn love and fifth apply wisdom.

According to the Gnostic view, the tree of life has a strong connection to the serpent or kundalini awakening. Essentially there is an energy coiled up at the base of the spine that will travel up the spine toward the brain igniting all of the energy pathways or chakras of the body on its way.

Perhaps each person should become acquainted with the signals that resonate with them for guidance in life.  The five trees of guidance could be; (1)  love and know the Creator with all your heart, (2) Our thoughts  (3) emotions; (4) know yourself  and (5)  power within, our spirit.   The keys for spiritual growth are within each of us.   We are all spiritual beings; our journey to seek the truth is arduous,  with many distractions and distortions. We are all different, and seeking the truth should be in your own way and time.

Next time our journey will continue with the Gospel of Thomas starting with the saying 20.

Know Yourself

Religion teaches us rituals, tradition and belief systems. Have they misinterpreted the message regarding  looking within yourself to find God by not teaching the concept?  In Luke 17:21 Jesus said “nor will people say, ‘Here it is,’ or ‘There it is,’ because the kingdom of God is in your midst.”  There are many interpretations of that one verse.

To know yourself may seem simple, but do we really know ourselves.  Our lives are connected to  families and friends  living in the physical world of  media, religion, governments, corporations, banks and education. We are living it everyday,  all day, every week, month and year, year after year. That is all we know. We have been made to believe we are advanced technologically,  but in reality,  we are mere children, playing in the world playground.  We have world information at our fingertips, to study, to learn and inspire.   In the meantime we are watching our home, mother earth,  being destroyed, and even allowing it by remaining silent. Are we the meek?  Have we have lost our way?  Perhaps we have forgotten who we are, why we are here and where we are going.  Even though your  part in this great illusion may seem small, you have no idea of the importance of your presents on this planet at this time in our history.

There are 7.7 billion of us on this planet and within each is a Divine Spark, Spirit or Soul  waiting to be awaken and find their Way.   Most disregard this concept simply because it is not something the  five senses nor scientific evidence can detect.  Our emotions, feelings and thoughts create our reality more than we will ever realize. Many seekers have found the Way to the metaphysical world that exists right before our eyes. Their studies included studying and contemplating the many ancient teachings and recent information available to us today.

One of the many teachings are the Secret Teachings of Jesus found in the Gospel of Thomas,  discovered in 1945 with other ancient texts.   Jesus’ message was of love and enlightenment and not of sin and repentance as taught by the Church. In his sayings, Jesus tells us to look within, to know ourselves; to seek the truth; we are from the light; Recognize what is in our sight, and that which is hidden from us will become plain to us. For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest. He had many messages of his 114 sayings first interpreted in 1959 and more translations in the 70’s.

The wisdom teaching of  Buddha, who could have been King but chose the Way as the path of seeking enlightenment by looking within. His teachings provide much insight into mindfulness  and meditation techniques putting our lives into perspective. He also tells us to look within, to know ourselves.  Buddha said, “Seeking within, you will find stillness. Here there is no more fear or attachment-only joy.”

The Tao Te Ching is probably one of the wisest ancient books, reported to be written by the sage named Lao Tzu over 2500 years ago. It is about living in unity with nature, the Way and teaches us to look within. One saying from the Tao Te Ching, “He who knows the Way does not let it show. Neither does he seek to be rewarded by anyone. Those who know the Way find their reward within themselves.”

The fundamental teaching of Hinduism  is that a human being’s basic nature is not confined to the body or the mind. Beyond both of these is the spirit or the spark of God within the soul. In the Katha Upanishad,  Krishna said ” God allowed man to look outward, but in seeith the outer the inner ignored  Those who see the eternal, turn their gaze within.”

Rumi was a 13th-century Sufi Mystic and  Persian poet, jurist, Islamic scholar and theologian. His quotes are transforming,  based upon love, hope, inspiration, and awakening.  Rumi said “Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.”

The Law of One, is  a channelling event that occurred in 1981–84. It is  recorded and documented in a  question and answer format taking over 3 years.    It has been said it was the greatest spiritual message since Jesus. It reveals our purpose, the consequences of our behavior and what even  happens at death.  It has intense teachings and one is of our  energy channels, Chakras, how to  balance ourselves. To balance is to know ourselves, and to know ourselves is  our foundation.

To know yourself is the message from our teachers. The language that the Divine Matrix recognizes prayer as imagining it already happened instead of wishing for  it to  happen. Remember our thoughts, emotion and actions create our reality.  Be surrounded by your prayer as if it already has been answered. Ask without judgement whether right or wrong or ego and ask from the heart and feel the results as if it already has happened .

You do not have to be of any particular religion or any religion. Open your heart and seek within. To know yourself is unique to each of us. This uniqueness evolves as we seek the truth with love and service to others.  When you know yourself,   there will be no more fear, only understanding of your purpose.   Meditation, contemplation, study, thanksgiving and prayer are tools for the great journey.

Meditation, the Tool for Transformation

In the last blog, The Most Sacred, we explored our spiritual realities. Instead of  listening and following what others tell us,  perhaps it is time to seek and discover  the truth for ourselves by looking within.  Meditation, with its countless benefits, is our tool to explore the Way. Jesus said in the Dialogue of the Savior, left out of the Bible, “When I came among humanity, I opened the door to the Way. I showed you the path that you must follow. You will find it within yourselves.” And Buddha said six hundred years earlier, “Before you set foot on the path, master yourself.” Krishna said, around 3500 BC, ” Those find the Way are those who have love and forgiveness in the hearts, and Lao Tzu said in 5oo BC, “the Way is empty, the Way is full. There is no Way to describe what it is. Find it within yourselves.”

Meditation has been around for thousands of years and is based on Hindu Scripture, as a religious practice. Buddha said “Meditation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”
It is even mentioned in the Bible, Psalm 1:1-2, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; (2) but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.”
In Joshua 1: 8 states “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it.”
The Acts of Peter XXI,   also omitted from the bible, “Give ear; withdraw your souls from all that appears but is not truly real; close these eyes of yours, close your ears, withdraw from actions that are outwardly seen; and you shall know the reality of Christ and the whole secret of your salvation.” In  Matthew 6:6 ”  But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”

But what is left out is how to pray or meditate. Perhaps Jesus’ message in the Gospel of Thomas can assist in our journey of seeking the truth.   In the Gospel of Thomas,   (48) Jesus said, “If two make peace with each other in this one house, they will say to the mountain, ‘Move Away,’ and it will move away.” The one house is the body, and  the two are mind and spirit. A very similar saying in (106) Jesus said, “When you make the two one, you will become the sons of man, and when you say, ‘Mountain, move away,’ it will move away.”

The two are  mind and spirit, thought and emotion.   From a spiritual perspective, Meditation is our  Gateway, our connection to Universal Intelligence.  Jesus was telling us how in the Gospel of Thomas, omitted from the bible. When we can make our thoughts and emotions one,  we will be transformed and will able to move mountains.

We all have a divine power within. It is up to each of us to look within, know ourselves and understand our purpose. Our tool is meditation, contemplation, prayer and seeking the truth.  This video may provide additional insight for those seeking the truth.

The Most Sacred

Have you ever considered what is the most sacred of our world?  Most  believe it to be an object such as a temple, building, monument, church, synagogue  or mosque or  high-ranking religious leaders.  A structure or object  is just that and our religious leaders are simple human beings, just like us.

The most sacred is every human being on earth. Within each of us lies a divine light, the essence of Infinite Intelligence, waiting to be awakened . Our bodies are the temple. Every human being is of infinite worth and at some point in time, each will come to that realization.

Sacred ancients texts and mystics called it the divine spark. Christians and Jews call it the soul, Muslims rooh, Hindu atman and there are many other names used through the centuries. Perhaps we are at a place  when it is time to realize who we are, why we are here and where we are going.

We live in a material world full of confusion and distortion. It is the world of positive and negative energy, good and evil, continually fighting for the most sacred prize, our essence. It divides us through our beliefs systems by judging, condemning and threats of forever punishment by not following a certain belief system.  It  divides  us when we should be united  with love, compassion, wisdom and helping one another.

There is much to learn from each other with an open heart and mind. Instead of listening to what others tell us,  perhaps it is time to seek and discover  the truth for ourselves.  There is much truth in religions but no religion has all the truth.  It is why we are here, to learn.

The Law of One in 4.17  says our purpose is to learn. First, the mind must be known to itself. Second, understand the concept of the balance between love and wisdom in the use of the body in its natural functions. And the third is spiritual  and contact with Intelligent Infinity.

Buddha taught us meditation, how to silence the mind, to know ourselves. Meditation is God’s gift, our gateway to find our way home. Jesus taught us love, to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Both Jesus and Buddha teach us to look within ourselves. Buddha tells us the way is not in the sky but is in the heart. Jesus also says the kingdom is within you and the one who knows himself will find it. Other teachers provide the same message.

There is nothing  more sacred on the planet than the divine light within each of us,  waiting to be awakened.

Peyote, Cannabis, Ayahuasca, part of Our Spiritual Journey?

Does Peyote, Cannabis or Ayahuasca play any part of our  spiritual journey? Most would simple disregard that concept or idea because we have been told it is illegal.   So let’s explore all the possibilities and you can decide for yourself.

“I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food”

Peyote, Cannabis and Ayahuasca are plants with reported  hallucination effects. Based on what we have been told,  hallucination is defined as the perception of objects with no reality usually arising from disorder of the nervous system or in response to drugs (such as LSD).    Curious why our Governments are interested in drugs and plants that provide hallucination effects?

Perhaps we should consider hallucination from a different perspective,  a more spiritual aspect of our life journey.  We have been told the physical and metaphysical are inseparable.   Wisdom through plants has been done for centuries, and it appears we have lost that connection with nature.

Ram Dass, an American spiritual teacher, former academic and clinical psychologist said It is important to expect nothing, to take every experience, including the negative ones, as merely steps on the path, and to proceed. In the 60’s, he and Timothy Leary were banished from Harvard for experimenting with Psilocybin, an entheogenic hallucinogen which naturally occurs in certain species of mushrooms. Leary and Dass sought to document its effects on human consciousness by administering it to volunteer subjects and recording their real-time descriptions of the experience. At the time of Leary and Dass’ research at Harvard, neither LSD or psilocybin were illegal substances in the United States.

Both men were banished from academia, but that was far from the end of their public lives. Both men went on to become icons of the psychedelic drug, counterculture, and human potential movement. Leary became famous for the slogan “Tune in, Turn On, Drop Out”. Ram Dass, wrote a popular book called Be Here Now, described as a “modern spiritual classic.”

American Indians have been using peyote, a small, spineless cactus, a This image has an empty alt attribute; its file name is 3407490394_34ec7dc5cfpeyote-1.jpghallucinogenic plant containing mescaline.  Mescaline is related to synthetic amphetamine derivatives used as street drugs. Peyote has been around for a while. Two archaeological specimens of peyote buttons, dried tops of the cactus, were  found in a Cave in Rio Grande, Texas dated between 3780–3660 BC.

The rise of peyote use in Mexico, Texas, and the Southwest, was tied to the rapid and widespread destruction of Native American cultures across the continent in the 19th century. During this period, tribes from across the country were forced off their lands onto small reservations, which they often shared with tribes who spoke different languages, had different cultures, and came from very different parts of the United States. When many tribes were facing the loss of land, traditions, and way of life, the use of peyote surfaced as a way to create social and tribal solidarity among the diverse tribes.

The peyote ritual, just as the Ghost Dance, that began in 1890, became a symbol of resistance and helped form the spiritual foundation for the movement that would help create unity among American tribes against the cultural devastation wrought by European settlers.

In 1964, Rand Corporation classified peyote and Cannabis in the same category as LSD family by Accession Number, AD0602638

In 1978, Congress enacted the American Indian Religious Freedom Act, a United States federal law.

In December 1980 the Peyote Way Church of God (Peyote Way) filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court in Texas . Peyote Way had approximately 250,000 tribal members, most of whom live on reservations in the west. Certain Native American tribes are allowed to use peyote in ceremonies because they were 250,000 strong and fought for what they believed in.

In 1996, 42 U.S. Code § 1996a, Traditional Indian religious use of peyote was passed, setting the requirements for peyote use by American Indians in the United States over the religion use of peyote.

A 12 year old research study suggest most peyote intoxications appear to be mild in nature and are unlikely to produce life-threatening symptoms.  Science really does not understand the long-term residual psychological and cognitive effects of hallucinogens,  but apparently is understood by those ingesting.

An article by John Horgan, July 5, 2017  in Scientific American  provides insight  called “Tripping on Peyote in Navajo Nation“.  Borrowing the term for a compound that boost the effect of a neurotransmitter, the researcher who participated in the ceremony   speculated that peyote serves as a “humility agonist,” counteracting  arrogance by instilling awe and reverence in the person.

Cannabis is another common plant that was made illegal by the U.S. Government based on the Rand Report in 1964. It came out during the 60’s drug culture, where marijuana and psychedelics were prevalent and protest of the Vietnam War were nation wide and at an all time high.

In the summer of 1967 and revealed for the first time, American support for the war had fallen below 50 percent. Nearly 100,000 people gathered in Washington D.C. to protest the American war effort in Vietnam. More than 50,000 of the protesters marched to the Pentagon to ask for an end to the conflict. The protest was the most dramatic sign of waning U.S. support for the senseless war in Vietnam. When the Government announced that it would ask for a 10 percent increase in taxes to fund the war, the public’s skepticism increased. The peace movement began to push harder for an end to the war all over the US . The march on Washington was the most powerful sign of their commitment to this cause and the so called hippy culture lead the way.

The people in  many states in the U.S.  are basically revolting  against the Federal Government again  and making medical marijuana legal, and others are even approving it for recreational use as well. Cannabis has a long history with evidence to suggest humans and cannabis evolved together, not just medicinal but spiritual as well.  Archaeological finds in Taiwan include pottery shards that are embedded with decorative strips of hemp cord dating around 10,000 years ago. Logical speculation tells us that humans have been working with hemp long before this.

Medical Cannabis and the Chinese go back to 2838 B.C. China has been using a written script for over 4,000 years, documenting their historical use of Medical Cannabis.

Cannabis also found it’s way in to India, cultivated for medicinal purposes as early as 900 BC. In 1985, Cannabis was legal in India, until Rajiv Gandhi’s government banned it under United States pressure.  From a spiritual perspective, despite being illegal in Nepal, cannabis grows wild, is cultivated, readily available. It is consumed during religious festivals, such as those in honor of the Hindu god Shiva. Holy men, known as sadhus, also consume cannabis to aid meditation, and many are believed to suggest that it is a substance favored by Lord Shiva, and, as such, should be used.

Zoroaster was believed to be the first to mention cannabis, or bhang  as a sacred plant  in the Zoroastro  Elzend-Avesta.  According to legend,  Buddha was on a diet of cannabis for 6 years consuming only a hemp seed once a day. The ancients has been using Cannabis medicinally and  spiritually for thousands of years.

Perhaps it is the negative stigma attached, and why cannabis is not openly used  spiritually today. In 1993  the Religious Freedom and Restoration Act  was enacted stating that the consumption of cannabis and other substances is legal under U.S. law for spiritual and religious purposes, but is in jeopardy in Congress today.

From a medical perspective , cannabis can be used  for easing pain and soothing influence in nervous disorders. It is useful in gout, neuralgia, rheumatism, insanity, insomnia etc. The action is almost entirely on the higher nerve centers. It can produce an exhilarating intoxication  with hallucinations, and is widely used in Eastern countries as an intoxicant. This documentary explores the longstanding relationship of human beings and cannabis, from its use in ancient Asia to its ban in 20th century America. This documentary explores the longstanding relationship of human beings and cannabis, from its use in ancient Asia to its ban in 20th century America.

Ayahuasca, a herbal brew made from  plants, known as vine of the soul, can be found in the Amazon. It is used for healing and spiritual growth. It is said the vine of the soul, a plant, teaches us what we need to know, to open up our blockages.  It helps man to know himself.  Sound familiar?  Ayahuasca isn’t a ‘magic pill’ or drink that will just heal you,” but is simply “a tool in your healing,  your growth, and evolution.

It is known for its  psychological effects; integrating emotion with both subconscious and conscious processes. Ayahuasca is used as a healer, a key, or an instrument to open information coming from unseen parts of our mind, body, soul, and parallel universe. Ayahuasca effects and benefits vary greatly from each Ayahuasca experience to another. This is the first thing you need to know. No two ceremonies are ever the same, and no two people ever have the same experience.

The Law of One states in 6.1   “There are many upon your planet who have a random hole or gateway in their spirit energy field, sometimes created by the ingestion of chemicals such as, what this instrument would call LSD, who are able, randomly and without control, to tap into energy sources. They may or may not be entities who wish to serve. The purpose of carefully and consciously opening this channel is to serve in a more dependable way, in a more commonplace or usual way, as seen by the distortion complex of the healer. To others there may appear to be miracles. To the one who has carefully opened the door to intelligent infinity this is ordinary; this is commonplace; this is as it should be. The life experience becomes somewhat transformed and the great work goes on.”

This is just a brief overview of the history of plants that could be helpful on our spiritual journey.  It is up to each person  to find and seek the Creator in their own way.  Plants are our  gift from God  for us to choose, not some Think Tank paid for by the United States Government.

I Shall Give You What Has Never Occurred in the Human Mind

In saying 17 of the Gospel of Thomas,  Jesus said, “I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never occurred to the human mind.”

Can you imagine Jesus’ disciples trying to understand what he was saying.    Even today one has to understand the estortic meaning and contemplate the verse.  A similar verse is found in  Isaiah 64:4 .    He proclaims, “Since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him. “

Isaiah was a Hebrew prophet who was believed to have lived about 700 years before the birth of Jesus.  Born in Jerusalem, Israel, he was said to have found his calling as a prophet when he saw a vision in the year of King Uzziah’s death. It is said Isaiah prophesied the coming of the Messiah Jesus Christ.

You will also find a similar verse  in  1 Corinthians 2:9  “However, as it is written: What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived — the things God has prepared for those who love him.”  Did Paul take the saying from Jesus or from Isaiah?     We will never know.

Consider Jesus’ message in saying 17  as a spiritual message suggesting the world is not as it seems. There is  another world  in our midst.  A spiritual world that cannot be detected with our five senses;  it is available to us now while we are alive; we no longer have to wait until death.  The path is love,  seek the truth, and know yourself. In saying 5,   Jesus said  “Know what is before your face, and what is hidden from you will be revealed to you. For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor anything buried which will not be raised up!”

We all possess the Christ Consciousness within. Jesus’ message tells us how we all could tap  into divinity.  No one can describe or even comprehend Christ Consciousness. Jesus’ metaphors and parables  are providing the way, not just in the Gospel of Thomas but also verses that can be found in the New Testament and Gnostic literature, the Koran and Eastern Mystics and other texts around the world.   Our purpose is to evolve spiritually and to seek the divine  within ourselves and then we will know God.

” I have stilled my restless mind, and my heart is radiant: for in
Thatness I have seen beyond That-ness. In company I have seen
the Comrade Himself. Living in bondage, I have set myself free: I have broken away from the clutch of all narrowness.
I have attained the unattainable, and my heart is
coloured with the colour of love.”   Kabir  Mystic Philosopher

Consider Jesus’ saying 17 is to tell us that he has a secret, so perhaps we will seek to know the secret.  Would we have even known of the 114 secret sayings if not for the discovery of Gospel of Thomas and other text in 1945.  At at time when the world was beginning its transition into the largest world population, nearly 7.7 billion, and for those that follow numerology,  those numbers may mean something.  From a metaphysical standpoint,  and according to the Law of One,  we live and a multidimensional universe. We are the third density out of  seven densities,  under a veil so we cannot see.

In session  73.13  of the Law of One, “Questioner: What was the orientation with respect to this type of communication for the one known as Jesus of Nazareth?

Ra: I am Ra. You may have read some of this entity’s workings. It offered itself as teacher to those mind/body/spirit complexes which gathered to hear and even then spoke as through a veil so as to leave room for those not wishing to hear. When this entity was asked to heal, it oft times did so, always ending the working with two admonitions: firstly, that the entity healed had been healed by its faith, that is, its ability to allow and accept changes through the violet ray into the gateway of intelligent energy; secondly, saying always, “Tell no one.” These are the workings which attempt a maximal quality of free will while maintaining fidelity to the positive purity of the working. “

Perhaps the Discovery of the Gospel of Thomas, 114 the  secret sayings of Jesus should be considered the second coming of Christ, his true message.  But we can only image.  This is a beautiful song from the original Movie soundtrack.

I felt Jesus’ message  in saying 17  would be a good way to end this year.  I would like to thank all those who subscribed  and  follow Inspiration. 2019 will be another year of challenges for each of us but, the biggest challenge is knowing ourselves. Meditation is a great start, if only for a few minutes a day; a time simply for yourself.  Meditation is the gateway and no one can do it for you but you. Remember assistance is available, all you have to do is ask.   Just know what is in front of your face and you will see what is hidden.

Imagine 7.7 billion people radiating love, and how the positive vibrations would change our world.  May all of us bring love and compassion into 2019. Happy New Year everyone!!!

Enoch, a Missing Link?

The Book of Enoch was probably one of the most influential book used by writers of the bible but was omitted in the  Old Testament and the Tanakh, the Jewish Bible.  It was one of  many ancient sacred texts omitted from the Bible that are available to us today . The Book of Enoch was first discovered in the 18th century and most assumed it was penned after the beginning of the Christian era because it had quotes and paraphrases as well as concepts found in the New Testament. However, the discovery of the Dead Sea Scrolls found at Qumran in 1946,   proved the book was in existence long before Jesus  and believe to be written sometime in the 2nd or 3rd Century BC.

Much of the ideas written down would influence later thought across nations. Religious leaders. Secular leaders. Focus on China, India, Greece and SW Asia.

The time period from  800 BC-200 BC was   known as the Axial age.  It was a time in our history  when the most creative and influential  thinking in the  world, amazingly occurring in four separate civilizations; West Asia, South Asia, East Asia, and northeastern Mediterranean. Some of the Sages included Zoroaster, Jeremiah, Isaiah, The Buddha, Confucius, Heraclitus, Socrates, plato and Aristotle , Varhamma Mahavira,  and Pythagoras. In different ways, they responded to an array of spiritual ideas and concepts; the emergence of the self-consciousness. It was early in our history when humans beings began to reflect on individual existence, and the meaning of life and death.

The Book of Enoch  was once cherished by Jews and Christians alike. It is read in certain Coptic Christian Churches in Ethiopia. There is  evidence Jesus not only studied the book, but also respected it highly enough to allude to the doctrine and content. And, there are over one hundred comments in the New Testament which find precedence in the Book of Enoch.

One of the interesting aspects of the Book of Enoch for me, starts in Chapter 6. ” And it came to pass when the children of men had multiplied that in those days were born unto them beautiful and comely daughters.
2 And the angels, the children of the heaven, saw and lusted after them, and said to one another: ‘Come, let us choose us wives from among the children of men.”   It is the story of the fallen angels and is virtually identical with Genesis 6.1-2. In the Book of Enoch, we get their names and many other details. The angels, referred to as the watchers, were the children of the heaven. Some saw and lusted after human women and said to each other that they should choose wives from among the children of men. At 7.2, he says they had giant sons and were able to easily dominate Enoch’s people.  This Youtube video may provide evidence Giants did exist according to this article,    When Giants Roamed the Earth.

“A knowledge of the existence of something we cannot penetrate, of the manifestations of the profoundest reason and the most radiant beauty – it is this knowledge and this emotion that constitute the truly religious attitude; in this sense, and in this alone, I am a deeply religious man.” Albert Einstein

The Law of One references higher level entities more sophisticated that  we can use as guides, if we pay attention. The Law of One also mentions quarantine , possibly because of incidents of the Giants to protect us from further intrusions.

No one really knows why the Book of Enoch was not included in the bible.  There is only  speculation. What is important though is, they are  available now like so many other sacred texts that were not so-called “canonized “by the Church authority.

Sacred ancient texts labeled as heresy or not approved by the Church, certainly peaks my interest. The discovery of thirteen ancient texts called “codices” were discovered in Upper Egypt untouched by scribes in 1945. They were translated in the 1970’s and are known as the Nag Hammadi Library. Scriptures such as the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Philip, and the Gospel of Truth were found, and labeled as Gnostic Gospels thought to be destroyed during the early Christian struggle to define “orthodoxy.”

One should contemplate why once treasured ancient sacred texts are being revealed during our time,  providing a different understanding than church teaching. In the Gospel of Thomas verse 5, Jesus said, “Recognize what is in your sight, and that which is hidden from you will become plain to you. For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest.”  Gospel of Thomas is 114 secret sayings of Jesus  revealing a different understanding and teaching than church fathers have taught us.  Next post will include the discussion of the sayings of Jesus,   “I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never occurred to the human mind.” (Saying 17 Gospel of Thomas).

The Book of Enoch and the Book of the Secrets of Enoch are at your fingertips.

What is God?

What is God,  the age-old question and it certainly has been mine.  Since the beginning of time,  as we understand it, man has struggled with the God concept. Most of us have chemistryour core beliefs from our childhood;  others seek to understand through contemplation, reflection, meditation and prayer; all have a  desire to have  a personal relationship with God.

God is  known by many names and according to religions of the world, in order to know God,  we should follow their beliefs, rules and rituals.  Based on my childhood and how I was taught about the Bible, God would be on a throne judging us for our behavior and our purpose was to worship God.  Each of us have our own imaginations and beliefs about God, mostly from our childhood.

Through the centuries, different religions with  different Gods making our 10635869_10152764748543781_2989172388846140521_nunderstanding of  God even more confusing.  I always believed there was only one God, just called by many different names.  Furthermore, in Judaism and Christianity alone,  there is much confusion for me.  Yahweh, is the God of the Old testament and Jewish Tanakh, is known as the God of the Israelites.  The name was revealed to Moses as four Hebrew consonants (YHWH) called the Tetragrammaton.   Consistent with Old Testament narratives,  Yahweh or Jehovah was regarded as the stern creator God who justly punishes humanity for disobedience.

The Gnostics referenced Yaldabaoth, the old testament god as a  ‘false god of this world’ and was known for his evil  deeds.  They believed the god of the Jews was the true devil who claimed for himself the title of ‘creator god’ and inverted the roles of good and evil through deception, presenting himself as the ‘benevolent father’ of mankind and slandering the Chakra symbolSerpent of wisdom as ‘the devil’ and ‘enemy of man’. This accusatory inversion began with the creation of the Christian Bible at the end of the 1st century and has deceive many generations throughout the millennia.  It should be noted our medical  community uses a staff medical imaginesor rod with a snake curled around it, call the Rod of Asclepius, the ancient mythical god of medicine .

In the Law of One, Yahweh is mentioned 19 times  and provides quite an  in-depth detail about Yahweh’s involvement on earth. The Orion Group, the negative entities of our universe also plays a role in what happened in the old testament as well as today. Perhaps In Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”  Was that God,  Yahweh or Yaldabaoth?   Who was Jesus talking about when the Jews said  Abraham was their father.   Jesus said in John 8:44   “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father The-Ra-Material-The-Law-of-One-quote-love-service-to-others-heart-chakra-spirituality-consciousness-3of lies.”

Some Gnostic groups saw Jesus as being sent by the supreme being, to bring gnosis or knowledge to the Earth. The Law of One referenced Jesus  22 times  and said  “This entity was desirous of entering this planetary sphere in order to share the love vibration in as pure a manner as possible.”

Now let’s look at the New testament and how the church leaders constructed the concept of God. The Trinity  a formal doctrine and foundation of the Christian faith, the father, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, meaning one God in three.   The term trinity is not found in the Bible. The only reference of the three in the bible is  Matthew 28:19 after Jesus resurrection.  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Of course we all know how easily this could have been added by a church father or scribe.

The formal doctrine of the Trinity was the result of early church fathers attempts to explain the Christian God. It was first used by Tertullian at the close of the 2nd century. It was discussed, debated and finally clarified as divinity of the spirit and  affirmed at the Council of Constantinople  in 381.  However scholars today  generally agree that there is no doctrine of the Trinity as such in either the Old or New Testaments.  The Trinity was a way church fathers could cff285a056c19538eb9d01c42865898cexplain Jesus as the son of God if not God. A search of the Nag Hammadi Library  of the Father, son and the holy spirit did not come up with any results.  With the possibility of the corruption of the message of  two major religions, perhaps it is time to pause,  and seek the truth in our own way.  Jesus was the messenger of love and in the message he was telling us what the church fathers have failed to teach.

In John 10:34, Jesus tells the Pharisees that it is written in the Law that “you are gods”. He is quoting from Psalm 82:6 where it says, “I said you are gods, sons of the Most High. All of you.”

In John 14:12  Jesus said , “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

bring forth what is in youIn the Gospel of Thomas Jesus said in saying 3,   If your leaders tell you, “Look, the kingdom is in heaven,” then the birds of heaven will precede you. If they say to you, “It’s in the sea,”  then the fish will precede you.  But the kingdom is inside you and it is outside you. When you know yourselves,  then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living father. But if you do not know yourselves,
then you dwell in poverty and you are poverty.

The Gnostics believe that within each of us is a divine spark, a part of God.  Some may  call it soul or spirit.  Regardless of what label man uses, God is a Divine Universal Energy within each of us waiting to be awakened by our acknowledgement  by seeking the truth.

According to the Law of One , we are on earth to learn the ways of love, compassion, wisdom and be of service to others. We get as many opportunities as we need to learn the required lessons. If not, we die and do it again until we get it right. The big problem for us when we do it again, we do not remember anything from our previous lives, unless you’re a child,   and then you may remember for a short period before Lao-Tzu-3.jpgforgetfulness sets in.

Regardless of the number of past lives, God, or the Great Universal Energy never leaves and is just waiting for us to discover the power within. I cannot emphasise the importance of the  a recent discovery in 1945, 114 secret sayings of Jesus known as the Gospel of Thomas and 50 other Gnostic texts.  According to scholars, the discovery provided striking differences from orthodox beliefs. Instead of being separate from God, we are One with God. Instead of sin and repentance, Jesus speaks of illusion and enlightenment. And finally, Instead of Jesus being Lord and God, we are all from the same source, and Jesus is our spiritual guide.

Another saying of Jesus,  “I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never occurred to the human mind.” (Saying 17 Gospel of Thomas). This saying is for each of us to ponder and consider as each of Jesus wisdom sayings in the Gospel of Thomas.

Buddha, another master teacher said before you set foot on the path master yourself; DfEgwEEWkAAQ2jIand Lao Tzu said, ” The Way (God) is complete in itself. All blessings come from it and it holds nothing back from anyone.” Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita, “Those who seek to find the One without ceasing, will find the Lord dwelling in their own hearts.”

With love and compassion in your  heart,  thoughts, emotions and actions, look within; through meditation, contemplation, prayer and study, you will find that Great Universal Energy that we call God.

“The heart is like a garden. It can grow compassion or fear, resentment or love. What seeds will you plant there?”

Buddha
