After a long journey experiencing Christianity and studying other major religions, I have found religions are one path to our long journey seeking the truth. For the most part religions are a set of rules, rituals and beliefs made up by man for others to follow.
On any spiritual journey, finding commonality among religions is always helpful in our search of the Way. Ancient texts have much to offer if applied properly to your journey.
In the Dialogue of the Savior, Jesus said, “ When I came among humanity, I opened the door to the Way. I showed the path that you must follow. You will find it within yourselves.”
In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishana said, “ I have revealed to you the most secret doctrine…Those who are able to see it have seen the light .”
Buddha said, “Words cannot describe what the Way is, but do no lose sight of it, for then it might be lost forever.”
And in the Tao Te Ching, Lao Tzu said, “I seek to understand and walk the Way so that I do not lose sight of it. The Way is not complex, nor is it hidden from anyone. People just choose to ignore it.”
We are all spiritual beings living in a 3 D world seeking and looking for the truth or the Way. We are all living in this moment where information is at our fingertips. We all have special knowledge and/or abilities that we will not find in any religion, but only within ourselves.
The Gnostic Gospels, over 50 texts discovered in Nag Hammadi, Egypt, include ‘secret’ gospels poems and myths attributing to Jesus sayings and beliefs which are very different from the New Testament. You can find them in the the Nag Hammadi Library. Why were they left out of the new testament?
The Gospel of Thomas has 114 sayings of Jesus. These are secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke and which Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down.
(1) And he said, “Whoever finds the interpretation of these sayings will not experience death.”
(2) Jesus said, “Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All.”
Just the first two passages gets your attention. The second one was somewhat puzzling until I came across something that happened in the recent past. The Law of One is an exact transcript from tape recordings during channelling episodes by Don Elkins, Carla Rueckert and James McCarty starting in 1981 and ending in 1984. During those three years they spoke with Ra, a humble messenger of the Law of One. The Law of One states that there is only One, and that One is the Infinite Creator.
