Alan Watts (1915–1973) was a British philosopher, writer, and speaker best known for introducing Eastern spirituality to the Western world in a way that was poetic, intelligent, and deeply human. He didn’t belong to a religion — he translated wisdom from Zen, Taoism, Advaita Vedanta, Hinduism, and mystical Christianity into language anyone could understand.
