Jesus said, "Let him who seeks continue seeking until he finds. When he finds, he will become troubled. When he becomes troubled, he will be astonished, and he will rule over the All." (Gospel of Thomas saying 2)
We experience compassion everyday. It may be as small as opening a door for a person, or letting someone go in front of the line at a store or helping someone who is broken down on the side of the road. Compassion can be defined as kindness, loving others, empathy, concern, understanding and array of other feelings and emotions.
A few days ago, I was overwhelmed by the act of compassion by this little man, a dwarf, who was crippled with arm braces, struggling to get out of his car, and asked me if I needed help with a young man who had collapsed on the side of the road. The young man said he was kicked out of his house by his mother and just started walking and collapsed on the side of the road. He had no idea how long he had been there. During this time, another man also had stopped to help. It was overwhelming with the people who stopped on a hot day to help someone they did not know. The young man apparently overheated and was fine once he got his bearings. But the little man who was crippled struggling to get out of his car just to see if he could help had to be the one of the most sincere gestures of compassion I have seen.
The greatest gift is to see people from all walks of life helping each other regardless of color, creed or culture. Humanity, as a whole, is loving and compassionate. Life is about love and helping others, regardless of the act. Any act of compassion is great and the more we pay attention, the more we will see our true nature evolve.
Near the center of the brain at the top of the spinal cord, tucked in a groove between the two hemispheres, is a tiny gland, known today as the pineal gland. According to Science the pineal gland is the body’s internal clock and according to our ancient teachers, it is for our spiritual development.
First the science. The pineal gland regulates the body’s circadian rhythms and produces and secretes the hormone melatonin. Circadian rhythms are the daily rhythms of the body, including signals that make someone feel tired, sleep, wake up, and feel alert; around the same time each day. The circadian rhythms also plays a crucial role in many other biological processes, such as hormone secretion, cardiovascular health, glucose homeostasis, and body temperature regulation. Energy balance is one of the most important cornerstones of metabolic processes, whereas energy imbalance is associated with many diseases such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease, to name a few. Out of balance could mean sleeping too much or too little, feeling active and restless in the middle of the night, or feeling sleepy at unusual times.
One problem, published by US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, is pineal gland calcification. Science suggests the calcifications plays a role in the development of Alzheimer disease. Fluoridated water is believed to be one of the chief causes of calcification. Evidence also suggests that children reach puberty earlier now as a consequence of fluoridated water. We are told fluoridated water was to prevent tooth decay, but does it really?
With all its research, science still does not fully understand the pineal gland, but seems to agree it is indispensable to a process most of us take for granted. More research is needed to understand additional pineal gland functions and determine how light and melatonin affect everyday health.
Along those same lines is another interesting discovery related to the neurons in our brain. They have the ability to produce photons of light, known as “biophotons”. They are capable of communicating through light. According to the biophoton theory developed on the base of these discoveries, biophoton light is emitted from in the cells of the organism, more precisely, in the DNA molecules of their nuclei. Light is constantly released and absorbed by the DNA and connects all cells, tissues, and organs within the body. This serves as our main communication network and as the principal regulating instance for all life processes. The consciousness-like coherence properties of the biophoton fields are closely related and indicate its possible role as an interface to the non-physical realms of mind, psyche and consciousness.
This discovery reminds me what Jesus said in The Gospel of Thomas,
If they say to you, “Where have you come from?”
say to them, “We have come from the light,
from the place where the light came into being by itself,
established itself, and appeared in their image.”
If they say to you, “Is it you?”
say, “We are its children and the chosen of the living father.”
The pineal gland is known as the third eye, the sixth chakra or energy center, the color indigo. Ancient traditions knew of the pineal or third eye and all its mysteries. They knew of the pineal role in our spiritual development and communication with spiritual beings. Within Taoist self cultivation, the third eye, known as Ancestral Cavity, is located between and behind the eyes and serves as the cavity of profound and ancient knowledged and can be accessed through meditation and contemplation.
In Buddhism, the third eye refers to Eye of Consciousness, seeing the world beyond physical eyes. In Hinduism the third eye is the eye of spiritual wisdom and knowledge..
The third eye is mentioned in Matthew 6:22 when Jesus said, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”
In the Law of One, the third eye, the indigo-ray or 6th chakra is our gateway to connect with Infinite Intelligence. In order to connect, we have to unblock our energy centers, by dealing with the negative and positive emotions that has shaped our lives and freeing the pathways for the flow of energy.
Each Chakra is a energy center and blockage varies from person to person. The seventh chakra or violet ray is unimpaired and is used as a energy receptor. The sixth Chakra or indigo ray, our pineal gland, can be blocked by feeling or belief in unworthiness. The fifth Chakra, known as the blue-ray, is our understandings of ourselves and our communication with others. The fourth Chakra, the heart chaka, known as the green-ray, is our understanding of universal love or compassion. The third Chakra, or yellow-ray is what we call the ego. The second Chakra, or orange-ray is the emotional or personal energy center. The 1st chakra, or red-ray is basic and fundamental, but is where the Kundalini lies asleep waiting to be awakened. In Hinduism, the Kundalini, the coil serpent is the divine power in an individual, and waiting to awaken this power to affect enlightenment.
The serpent is referenced in John 3: 13-15 , when Jesus said, “Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up. For everyone believes may have eternal life”.
Moses rod represents the spine. Spiritual awakening is a process. It is about energy. As the energy begins to flow freely through the energy centers, it begins to gradually unblock and balancing begins. You may experience unexplained phenomena and emotions as you meditate and contemplate your true-self.
Our pineal gland is already active. We all have some degree of intuition or discernment, a sense of knowing that will expand the more we unblock our energy centers and more energy begins to flow. The the pineal gland will grow stronger and may even awaken the Kundalini.
The light in the body is the single eye, our pineal gland, in the middle of the forehead seen in deep meditation, our gateway and connection to Infinite intelligence. We can perceive through our pineal gland, our spiritual eye, the love and light of the One Infinite Creator. By fixing the vision of the two eyes at the point between the eyebrows in the interiorized concentration of meditation, one can focus the positive negative optical energy of the right and left eyes and unite the currents in the sign eye of the divine light. The more we practice, the more the body and mind inwardly illumined with astral light and wisdom, receives indescribable joy and unending guidance of divine wisdom.
We all dream, but what are they, their meaning and purpose? The Greeks believed in good and bad dreams and had a process of inducing dreams and visions. The Egyptians were great believers in dreams and their powers and influence. The Babylonians also believed that dreams were either good or bad, with the good dreams being sent by the gods and the bad dreams being sent by demons. The Hebrews felt good dreams came from God and bad dreams were from evil spirits.
The bible has 20 references to dreams and according to the Quran when sleeping, the soul partially departs from our body and returns back when we wake up. The Hindus believe dream interpretation can provide a window into the future. The Native American culture is rich with dreams interpretations, helping to balance their world.
From a science prospective, the dream is unconstrained by facts, reality or even physics and its details are beyond the control of the dreamer. Dreams can be the most enjoyable and fascinating aspect of sleep or the most unpleasant and horrifying aspect of sleep. Science believes that during the day the brain takes in a good deal of information and most not relevant. There have been publication after publication; Freud, Carl Jung and even Harvard Scientists, and it seems no one can make sense out of the information gathered.
There are some interesting reports on dreaming. Elias Howe had the idea of a sewing machine but just couldn’t quite figure it out to make it right. He had a dream that he was captured by a group of wild savages and they were threatening him with spears. He noticed the spears all had holes near there pointed end and his problem was solved.
The Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev was struggling with the understanding and organizing the properties of the elements when in a dream he saw them arranged in columns and rows which is now the periodic table of the elements.
The German scientist Friedrich August Kekule made significant contributions to organic chemistry by discovering how carbon atoms could be arranged. He had been working with ideas of how carbon atoms could be linked together in chains. In a dream he saw the chains as snakes twisting and then one snake started to eat it’s tail creating the ring structure.
Even when one sleeps very little or light a sleep like Thomas Edison, dreaming still occurs. Edison thought he got his best ideas when just falling asleep. He called the transition between wake and deep sleep the genius gap. He then invented a ways to maximize his sleep onset dream by falling asleep on a lab bench with one hand clutching a handful of ball bearing. If he transitioned into deeper sleep his hand would drop the ball bearing, and as they hit the floor would wake him and then he would quickly write down any ideas he had experienced.
According to the Law of One, dreams can be of positive or negative influences. If we can remember our dreams and find specific meanings and clues, it may reduce or even eliminate blockages of our energy centers or chakras, allowing us to become balance. Dreaming is a bridge from conscious to unconscious. During this state, all of our experiences, distortions and confusion occurring during our life may actually be healed if we can remember. This can be accomplished by remembering our dreams immediately when we wake by recalling every detail and recording, either by memory or writing. This sharpens our ability to recall the dream since most of us perceive our dreams as confusing, meaningless, and are quickly lost. Remembering can be learned. With the proper amount of dreaming comes the healing of our distortions. Continued lack of dreaming could cause even more distortions and confusion for the individual.
The other function of the dreaming which is of aid is that type of dream which is visionary and which prophets and mystics have experienced from days of old. Their visions come through the roots of mind and speak to a hungry world. Thus the dream is of service without being of a personally polarizing nature. However, in that mystic or prophet [who] desires to serve, such service will increase the entity’s polarity.
So it appears good recall of dreams, like Howe, Mendeleev, Kekule and Edison, will bring additional meaning to our lives; spiritual growth and evolution. Recalling and understanding the meaning and then deciphering is something only you can do.
Dreams can have positive and negative influences much like synchronicities. Spiritual synchronicities may be messages from our guides. The Law Of One made this recommendation when asked, “Each of us gets the signals and dreams. I have been aware of clairaudient communication at least once in waking up. Can you suggest a method whereby we might, shall I say, nullify the effect of the influence that we don’t want from a negative source?”
There are various methods. We shall offer the most available or simple. To share the difficult contact with the other-selves associated with this working and to meditate in love for these senders of images and light for self and other-selves is the most available means of nullifying the effects of such occurrences. To downgrade these experiences by the use of intellect or the disciplines of will is to invite the prolonging of the effects. Far better then to share in trust such experiences and join hearts and souls in love and light with compassion for the sender and armor for the self.
We dream for a reason, a gift for us to use to grow in our spiritual evolution. By recalling, deciphering and understanding our dreams, we can find answers and guidance and perhaps even unlock the mysteries of life.
We have the same abilities as the mystics and prophets of old, we just need to train ourselves by trying to recall and understand our dreams. Most importantly, before you go to sleep, your intentions should be of love and wisdom and follow your higher-self.
In the Book of Daniel of the Old Testament, Daniel interpreted a dream of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon . King Nebuchadnezzar then acknowledges the supremacy of Daniel’s God and raises him to high office in Babylon. Perhaps the dreams and visions of ancient times were meant just for that time. A guide to show us we are capable of the same thing.
I will leave with one last question and answer about dreaming from the Law of One. Pleasant Dreams!
86.7▶Questioner: You stated that dreaming, if made available to the conscious mind, will aid greatly in polarization. Would you define dreaming or tell us what it is and how it aids in polarization?
Ra: I am Ra. Dreaming is an activity of communication through the veil of the unconscious mind and the conscious mind. The nature of this activity is wholly dependent upon the situation regarding the energy center blockages, activations, and crystallizations of a given mind/body/spirit complex.
In one who is blocked at two of the three lower energy centers dreaming will be of value in the polarization process in that there will be a repetition of those portions of recent catalyst as well as deeper-held blockages, thereby giving the waking mind clues as to the nature of these blockages and hints as to possible changes in perception which may lead to the unblocking.
This type of dreaming or communication through the veiled portions of the mind occurs also with those mind/body/spirit complexes which are functioning with far less blockage and enjoying the green-ray activation or higher activation at those times at which the mind/body/spirit complex experiences catalyst, momentarily reblocking or baffling or otherwise distorting the flow of energy influx. Therefore, in all cases it is useful to a mind/body/spirit complex to ponder the content and emotive resonance of dreams.
For those whose green-ray energy centers have been activated as well as for those whose green-ray energy centers are offered an unusual unblockage due to extreme catalyst, such as what is termed the physical death of the self or one which is beloved occurring in what you may call your near future, dreaming takes on another activity. This is what may loosely be termed precognition or a knowing which is prior to that which shall occur in physical manifestation in your yellow-ray third-density space/time. This property of the mind depends upon its placement, to a great extent, in time/space so that the terms of present and future and past have no meaning. This will, if made proper use of by the mind/body/spirit*, enable this entity to enter more fully into the all-compassionate love of each and every circumstance including those circumstances against which an entity may have a strong distortion towards what you may call unhappiness.
As a mind/body/spirit* consciously chooses the path of the adept and, with each energy center balanced to a minimal degree, begins to open the indigo-ray energy center, the so-called dreaming becomes the most efficient tool for polarization, for, if it is known by the adept that work may be done in consciousness while the so-called conscious mind rests, this adept may call upon those which guide it, those presences which surround it, and, most of all, the magical personality which is the higher self in space/time analog as it moves into the sleeping mode of consciousness. With these affirmations attended to, the activity of dreaming reaches that potential of learn/teaching which is most helpful to increasing the distortions of the adept towards its chosen polarity.
There are other possibilities of the dreaming not so closely aligned with the increase in polarity which we do not cover at this particular space/time.
* Should be mind/body/spirit complex. Ra and Don corrected the error in session 87.
Have we forgotten our true nature? Perhaps one reason is we have been programmed since birth. Our education, media, political and religious systems play an integral part of who we are and who we become. It is a worldwide system of control to keep us occupied, and has become what we believe is normal.
Today, our world is in a confused and distorted state. Many begin to seek the truth, seeking answers to the age old questions of our identity. Most find this task difficult because society requires most to work at jobs 8 hours a day to pay for food, shelter and take care of families. We are constantly bombarded with corporate messaging creating fear. It becomes a confusing, distorted and arduous journey with many different paths, making it difficult to wake up spiritually and even more difficult to follow a spiritual path.
From a very young age we are programmed by our parents who were programed by their parents, and the vicious and seemly unbreakable cycle goes on and on. We go to schools, churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places where we are told how and what to think and how to believe and know God. Then we follow blindly for the rest of our lives, never seeking the truth about our true selves.
Who controls these systems and why do they want control? Perhaps it is to keep us from knowing our true nature, knowing our true self . Each of us have a higher power within, a divine light waiting to be awakened. We are all spiritual beings with a body and mind made of pure energy. Our thoughts create our reality through emotions and actions . Fear, control, greed, are just some negative emotions while love and helping others are some of the positive. We only think what we have been taught, and we are what we think!
Humanity has been in a deep sleep since our beginning and in order to begin the spiritual journey, one needs to wake up and ask the age old question, “Who am I”, why am I here” and “where am I going”.
In ancient times, there was a mystical poem about us called The Hymn of the Pearl. It may be one of the most foretelling Gnostic scriptures telling us of our true nature. The hymn is commonly interpreted as Gnostic view of the human condition; we are spirits lost in a world of matter and forgetful of our true origin. This state of affairs could change by a revelatory message delivered by a divine messenger. Perhaps the Law of One is that divine messenger.
Scott Mandelker, PHD, teacher and scholar said the Law of One material is “One of the most important spiritual documents since Jesus”.
It started in 1981, when three members of the L/L research, Don Elkins, a former Physics Professor and Airline pilot, Carla Rueckert, a devote Christian , and James McCarty, the sole survivor today, received a narrow band transmission from a Social memory complex named Ra. Ra stated,
“ We have watched your group. We have been called to your group, for you have a need for the diversity of experiences in channeling which go with a more intensive, or as you might call it, advanced approach to the system of studying the patterns of the illusions of your body, your mind, and your spirit, which you call seeking the truth. We hope to offer you a somewhat different slant upon the information which is always and ever the same.”
Many say it is a hoax but the complexity of the responses, which are so masterfully and skillfully crafted that no human could possibly have the knowledge or ability to create the responses. Others may say it is from the devil or satan. But in 1 John 4:1 of the New Testament says “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
The sessions open with, “I am Ra. I greet you in the love and the light of our Infinite Creator” and closes with, “I am Ra. I leave you in the glory and the peace of the One Creator. Rejoice in the love/light, and go forth in the power of the One Creator. In joy, we leave you. Adonai.”
We have free-will to determine for ourselves if the Law of One is the revelatory message delivered by a divine messenger. The contact lasted from January 1981 to March 15, 1984 and was recorded and documented. The transcript contains over 2360 questions and answers in 106 sessions with a scientific and metaphysical vocabulary with a searchable database available free to all.
For me the Law of One provides insight on something else that occurred 38 years earlier, when thirteen ancient books, called “codices,” containing over fifty texts, was discovered in upper Egypt in 1945. Known as the Nag Hammadi Scriptures, scriptures such as the Gospel of Thomas, 114 secret sayings of Jesus, and the Gospel of Truth and many more thought to be destroyed by early Christianity. The texts were translated in the 1970’s and are available today. I have been studying the Gospel of Thomas for years and it was difficult to understand until I began studying the Law of One. It helped with the interpretation of the 114 secret teachings of Jesus and other sacred text, including the Bible. It simply provides a different and refreshing new perspective on what we have been taught. Of course today, 2000 years later, many refuse to believe they may hold any value because they were not canonized by the Catholic Church, and actually labeling them heresy. But interestingly Father Francis Tiso, a very controversial Priest, talks about our divine spark in this video.
We have the world at our fingertips to explore new and exciting ways to discover, connect and love our Creator. It all starts by looking within and loving others as you love yourself, love all of nature, and service to others. Realize your thoughts, emotions and actions allow you to become more aware of your true nature. Meditation, contemplation and prayer are the gateway to understanding the higher self; connecting with Infinite Intelligence, our true nature.
Spiritual growth is why we are here. It is a lifetime endeavor of seeking the truth and to know our true-selves. We live in a world that is not what it seems and the physical and metaphysical worlds are inseparable. There is a vibrating constant energetic motion within all things called Qi or prana, depending on your culture . We are energetic beings radiating positive and negative energy with our thoughts, emotions and actions creating our reality, and our unruly minds control it. There are distortions and confusions that add to the unruliness. We have been programmed since birth regarding our belief systems. There are 7 billion people in this world radiate energy and we as a collective, created our world.
Spiritual growth is listening and trusting your higher- self. We all have guides or angels if we pay attention. We all have the gift of discernment or intuition, we just have to learn to trust ourselves.
Daily meditation, even if it is just five minute will help calm the mind and in time, provide a path the the higher self. There is no one method of meditation better than another. Buddha said “Meditation brings wisdom; lack of mediation leaves ignorance. Know well what leads you forward and what holds you back, and choose the path that leads to wisdom.”
Once a person realizes the divine energetic field they begin to experience the energy fields of nature including plants, animals and humans. You feel more love and compassion to all living things. As you grow, so will your awareness, your purpose and understanding. The Chinese sage Lao Tzu “ A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”
Jesus Secret sayings and the Law of One may provide additional insight and understanding for those who are interested.
The Gospel of Thomas, 114 sayings of Jesus, was believed by different scholars to have been written anywhere from 40 CE to 140 CE. Its theological perspective is markedly different from the biblical gospels in that the resurrection of Jesus plays no part in it, and it emphasizes a mystical understanding of Jesus’ teachings, rather than the sacraments of baptism and the Eucharist. During this time, there was a wide range of theoretical beliefs in “early christianity”, but it was so diverse in its beliefs, it would be better served to be called as “early christianities”. Early believers of Jesus held a wide view of beliefs. Some believed there were two or more gods, others insisted the world was created by an evil deity, while others argued that Jesus was not really human or not really divine; many maintained that Jesus was not really divine; some maintained that Jesus death had nothing to do with salvation and others claimed that he never actually died.
By the mid-2nd century the struggle for Christianity’s self-definition continued involving a battle between two differences. On one side were those seeking a fundamentally exoteric understanding of the religion, defined in terms of a closed canon of Scripture, a creed, and institutional authority. On the other side were those
categorized or labeled as Gnostics, later called heretics; understanding Jesus and his message in terms of a saving knowledge or gnosis, through meditation and enlightened teachers, mythical narratives, and spiritual advancement.
A heretic is a person who differs in opinion from established religious dogma
Orthodox means conforming to what is generally or traditionally accepted as right or true.
The Gospel of Thomas can be understood mystically such as saying 28. Jesus said, “I took my place in the midst of the world, and I appeared to them in flesh. I found all of them intoxicated; I found none of them thirsty. And my soul became afflicted for the sons of men, because they are blind in their hearts and do not have sight; for empty they came into the world, and empty too they seek to leave the world. But for the moment they are intoxicated. When they shake off their wine, then they will repent.”
Jesus may be saying he appeared in this world as human and the center of attention. But he found people asleep, blind and none were thirsty for the truth. The spiritual state of humanity, according to numerous gnostic texts, is stupefied with passion and drunkenness, blind to any spiritual understanding. Humanity came empty with their awareness and understanding of their consciousness, and who they really are. They can be saved if they seek the truth and and discover their true selves. Parallel sayings can be found in Luke 21:34-36 and John 1:14 and drunkenness is likened to ignorance of God in 1 Corinthians 15:34.
(29) Jesus said, “If the flesh came into being because of spirit, it is a wonder. But if spirit came into being because of the body, it is a wonder of wonders. Indeed, I am amazed at how this great wealth has made its home in this poverty.”
Perhaps Jesus meant it is very difficult for us to let go of the negative and destructive nature of the physical and material world and realize our true selves. Most of us do not realize the power within and simply disregard because of the material world. Perhaps because of our programing, it is difficult to understand our true nature and believe the material world is the real world. We all have a body, mind and spirit and according to the Gnostics we are divine sparks trapped in the body. Similar sayings can be found in Rom 8:1-8 and Gal 5:16-26.
In saying (30) Jesus said, “Where there are three gods, they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with him.”
This is a complex saying with a similar saying found in Matthew 18:20. Consider that when three people are discussing the ways of the world, each believe they are right, leaving no room to discuss the true meaning of life because no one is listening. When there is only one or two, the heart is more open and accepting of Christ consciousness within each of us.
In saying (31) Jesus said, “No prophet is accepted in his own village; no physician heals those who know him.”
Two metaphors that are seen in everyday life. When we know someone, grow up with them as a child, watched their actions and perhaps indiscretions in immaturity, we normally will not put any credence in them as a prophet or physician. Only someone to whom we do not know and is a a mystery can we really believe they know what they are doing much like the blind leading the blind. We tend to look at what we identify as wisdom; successful people with money and the benchmark. Similar sayings can be found in Luke 4:16-30,Matt 13:53-58, John 4:43-45, and Mark 6:1-6.
(32) Jesus said, “A city being built on a high mountain and fortified cannot fall, nor can it be hidden.”
Enlightened ones tell us of the ways of the world such as Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu Kristina. Many more have left behind a treasure of wisdom to inform us of the physical and metaphysical world. Today the wisdom is available for anyone and cannot be hidden. A parallel saying can be found in Matt 5:14-16.
The four Gospels, Mark, Matthew, Luke and John were anonymously written and only later did Christians claim that they have been produced by the apostles. The Gospel of Mark probably dates from 66–70 CE, Matthew and Luke around 85–90 CE , and John 90–110 CE. Like the rest of the New Testament, they were written in Greek. One should consider that many of Gospels may have been taken from the Gospel of Thomas to create the New Testament and the church’s story of Jesus.
We are all spirits, with a body and mind living in a physical world. We were born into this world, bound to what we have been taught but then something happens. We want to know the truth and begin seeking. The more we seek, the more free we become from the programing.
A free spirit chooses not to be bound or conform to the norms of society or their belief systems. They have a unique understanding about how our society and cultures have indoctrinated and programmed us since birth. A free spirit is seeking the truth, in their own way and their own time.
Jesus was a free spirit. He did not belong to any group and he certainly did not conform to any belief system. His message was of love and enlightenment.
Another free spirit, Buddha was a prince that could have been king. He left the comforts of a palace life to seek enlightenment for the next 7 years. .
A modern day free spirit is Bruce H. Lipton, PhD, a former atheist. He did groundbreaking work in the field of New Biology; radically changing our understanding of life. It shows that genes and DNA do not control our biology; that instead DNA is controlled by signals from outside the cell, including the energetic messages emanating from our positive and negative thoughts. Dr. Bruce Lipton delivers one of the most important messages you will ever hear in this video.
Free spirits pave the way so others may follow. With love and compassion they serve humanity. Free spirits look within to know their true-selves. We are all spirits, but only those that choose to set themselves free are truly free spirits.
Connection to our source means a lifelong journey of seeking the truth and discovering who we are. Many go to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places of worship to seek the truth. The realization is all religions have some truth, but no religion has all the truth. If blindly followed, religion will simply put you in a box; providing their teachings, belief systems and rituals. Religion may contain hidden truths, a higher truth that can be used as stepping stones for our spiritual journey . Perhaps that is why people are leaving religion, because they want to know the truth, they want to know God.
Being controlled by a particular belief system or religion appears to be negative energy. “Thou shall not” found in the 10 commandments in the Book of Exodus is dictating what we should or should not do. If humanity is inherently good, why do we have to be told not to kill or steal, doesn’t that take away our free will? There are even questions where did the Old Testament originated? We’ve all heard of the flood story in Genesis 6-8 and scholars believe that story was taken from the Gilgamesh Epic, the great literary classic of ancient Mesopotamia. There are many contradictions and questions regarding the content of the Old Testament, much like the New Testament.
English translations of the bible began in the Middle ages and there were two efforts where the Church insisted only using their translations.
John Wycliffe, 1320-1384, translated the Bible into english but the Church condemned him for this action and ordered his books be burned.
William Tyndale, 1484-1536, also translated the Bible into english. He was particularly disturbed by the fact that the common man was unable to read the Bible for himself. He was also condemned as a heretic, both by the Catholic Church and the newly established Church of England. Tyndale was forced to leave England for Germany, but eventually authorities caught up with him and he was burned at the stake in Belgium.
Our connection to God, the source, divine matrix or Infinite Intelligence, and many other descriptive names, is something most strive to understand and define. Personally, God is pure divine energy, love being the dominant source of vibration. The vibration that we are here to learn and balance with wisdom. Each of us are a spark of pure divine energy. As we learn how our thoughts, emotions and actions are part of our grand spiritual evolution, we are creating the world around us. Within each of us, exist a higher power waiting to be awakened. We all have the divine gift of discernment, the act or process of exhibitingkeeninsightandgoodjudgment. In its broadest sense, discernment is closely related to wisdom as an expression of God. Discernment alone can bring about a sense of balance between the worldly and the spiritual.
If only the world lived by one simple message our teachers were trying to tell us, we could change our world. Jesus told us to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The Buddha said, ” the only way you can become free is to love those who hate you”. Krishna said, “to me, all beings are the same. I hate none, and no one is more dear to me than another, and The Taoist Sage Lao Tzu said, “Nothing but good comes to him who loves others as he loves himself”. By honoring and respecting others’ beliefs and religions, not only will it bring us closer together, but closer to our Creator.
With each new day, you can be the light of the world. Look within and know you are that divine spark waiting to be awakened. Realize you have God given gifts and can learn to master them. Above all, believe in yourself and your relationship with God through meditation, contemplation, prayer and being mindful during the day. Connecting and understanding ourselves and the Divine is a lifelong process with many obstacles. With love and compassion, believe in yourself and your ability to know and learn the truth.
Death and the after-life is something we will all face eventually. Our limited understanding is guided by our belief system; what we subconsciously learned and consciously taught. It is the school of life, with countless confusion and distortions with so many belief systems and religions. It may be as simple as to what you believe will be your reality.
Death is the release of our life force in order to continue our spirit journey. The ancient chinese described qi as “life force”, Hindu called it prana, Christians and Jews refer to it as the soul and the Muslims call it Rūḥ, our immortal self. Gnostics called it the divine spark; spirit, essense and the list goes on.
Our life force is who we are, energy within our bodies, feeling all the aches and pains as we age, physically and emotionally. We are trying to understand our purpose. We learn and practice tai chi, chi gong, yoga, walk, jog and meditate to cultivate our life force just to face the daily challenges and choices. We look around and wonder if this it, why are we here! Based on the Law of One our purpose is to learn the ways of love with wisdom, and each of us have our own special lessons to learn. At the end of our life we have a “life review”. If you attained 51 percent positive, you will leave 3rd density and advance to the the 4th density. Seven densities , realms, dimensions or heavens are terms used in religious and mythology ancient texts.
If you do not make the 51 percent positive then you will have to redo 3rd density. Your reincarnation can be anywhere in the universe. Even Emanuel Swedenborg, the eighteenth-century mystic and spiritual explorer, spoke of the purpose of death. He inspired some the world’s greatest minds and souls like Helen Keller, D.T. Suzuki, and Ralph Waldo Emerson,to name a few.
Law of One also provides insight on death which states, ” the process of the physical death is as we have described before: one in which there is aid available and the only need at death is the releasing of that entity from its body by those around it and the praising of the process by those who grieve. By these means may the mind/body/spirit which has experienced physical death be aided, not by the various perceptions of careful and repeated rituals.”
Near Death experiences (NDE) also provides insight and some sort of understanding of the afterlife. People that have experienced NDE sometimes describe a floating sense of freedom from pain and of complete wellbeing; or they had unusual abilities, such as being able to see walls and also see through them, and being able to “hear” the unspoken thoughts of the people nearby; They sometime say they experienced a “life review” while at the same time, they re-viewed, and experienced being on the receiving end of, all their actions throughout life; Some went beyond the light, seeing cities of light and knowledge. When they chose to return, it was because of a love connection with one or more living people. The other half say they didn’t choose to return: They either were told or made to return, or they were just suddenly “back” in their bodies.
Physical death releases our life force; our final escape from this realm. It is interesting to note how emotions around us affect even the death process. Our thoughts, emotions and actions create our reality not only in this world but also the next. Many seek gnosis, the knowledge of spiritual mysteries, to better understand our situation. Esoteric knowledge of spiritual truth was held by the ancient Jews, Christians and Greeks. They believed it was essential to salvation.
What stands out for me to be essential is the emotion of love, the emotion that conquers all things. Also our intentions regarding our thoughts, emotions and actions. If we fear death, a negative emotion, then death may be exactly that. That is why we are here to learn about love and the wisdom to use it.
Our ancient teachers had much wisdom to say about death and immorality.
Jesus said in the Apocryphon of John, “I am returning to the place for which I came, If you wish to follow me, you may. But you will not enter the Kingdom until you have perfected yourselves.”
Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita, ” When the self leaves the body it will go whatever the attention is focused on the time of death. Therefore remember me at all times. When your mind absorbed in Me you will come to Me”
Lao Tzu said in the Tao Te Ching, ” Those who are not attached to life will not fear death. They are more fortunate than those who give life too much meaning. “
“One who has lived wisely does not fear death.” The Buddha
Being more positive than negative with your thoughts, emotions and actions; being aware of your intention regarding your thoughts, emotions and actions; do not get attached to the material world; and live your life with wisdom; all teachings from our Masters to not only assist us with our life journey, but our impending death and afterlife.
Here we are again that very special day of the year when we honor our mothers. Our mothers made us who we are, how we think and how we act. Who and what we are today is very much based on the love of our mothers. I am not leaving out fathers, but this is mothers day. As of May 10, 2019 the National Retail Federation estimates that U.S. consumers will spend $23.6 billion on Mother’s Day this year. Last year, $14.3 billion, was spent on father’s day as a comparison.
Those numbers really do not depict the real picture how women have been treated throughout history. Granted progress has been made, but in reality, is it enough? Saudi Arabia implemented new rules in 2018 to allow women to obtain drivers without permission from their legal guardians nor will they need a male guardian in the car with them.
Women in Switzerland gained the right to vote in federal elections after a referendum in February 1971.
Egyptian women were guaranteed the right to vote and equality of opportunity was explicitly stated in the 1956 Egyptian constitution, forbidding gender-based discrimination. Labor laws were changed to ensure women’s standing in the work force and maternity leave was legally protected.
French women were disenfranchised at all levels before 1944. Women could vote from 1945, but only if literate. Restrictions on women’s suffrage were lifted in 1965.
In June 4, 1919 congress passed and later ratified on August 18, 1920, granting women the right to vote in the United States. These are just a few examples of women’s struggle in more recent times. Women have been suppressed by men for centuries and it started with religion. Unfortunately orthodox Christianity is not based on the teachings of Jesus, but on the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church, which are entirely different. There are a number of reasons for this, the foremost of which is that Jesus was deliberately sidestepped in favor of the alternative teachings of Peter and Paul, teachings which were thoroughly denounced by the Nazarene Church of Jesus and his brother James. Only by removing Jesus from the frontline could the Popes and cardinals reign supreme. When formally instituting Christianity as the state religion of Rome, Constantine declared that “he alone” was the true “Saviour Messiah”, not Jesus!.
The only way for the Roman High Church to restrain the heirs of Mary Magdalene was to discredit Mary herself and to deny her relationship with Jesus. As a result, the Church portrayed Mother Mary as a virgin, and Mary Magdalene as a whore, neither of which description was mentioned in any original Gospel.
The Church’s only salvation was to deny women altogether; to deny them not only rights to ecclesiastical office, but to deny them rights to any status in society. Hence, the Church declared that women were all heretics and sorceresses! In this, the bishops were aided by the words of Peter and Paul, and on the basis of their teachings the Roman High Church was enabled to become wholly sexist. In his Epistle to Timothy, Paul wrote: “I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp any authority over the man, but to be in silence.”
In the Gospel of Philip, Peter is even quoted as saying that “Women are not worthy of life”.
The bishops even quoted the words of Genesis, wherein God spoke to Eve about Adam, saying “He shall rule over thee”.
The Church Father Tertullian summed up the whole Roman attitude when writing about the emergent disciples of Mary Magdalene: “These heretical woman! How dare they! They are brazen enough to teach, to engage in argument, to baptize. It is not permitted for a woman to speak in church, nor to claim a share in any masculine function-least of all in priestly office.”
So when we look at why women have been so mistreated during the centuries, all we have to do is look at the abrahamic religions. Others like Hinduism view the feminine energy as the essence of the universe, the one who creates all matter and consciousness, the eternal and infinite, the metaphysical and empirical reality, the soul of everything. The woman is celebrated as the most powerful and the empowering force in some Hindu scriptures such as Upanishads, Sastras and Puranas.
The Buddha gave women full freedom to participate in a religious life. The Buddha was the first religious teacher who gave this religious freedom to women. Before the Buddha, women’s duties had been restricted to the kitchen; women were not even allowed to enter any temple or to recite any religious scripture.
Men and women are equal partners in our world. Until we all realize and adopt that concept there will always be a struggle. Some men believe staying home and raising children is far less that than bringing home food for the table. Women see emotional intelligence far more important than physical intelligence but yet most have to call upon men to move or handle things that are highly physical. The problem may be we have become more competitive and see one more superior than the other, when in fact, both are equal. There have been many men that have had to raise their children and have done an excellent job. But there is nothing greater nor is there any substitute for the Mothers love for her children.
