Dreams and Our Spiritual Journey

We all dream, but what are they, their meaning and purpose?  The Greeks  believed in good and bad dreams and had a process of inducing dreams and visions. The Egyptians C7lOMZ3VsAIY16nwere great believers in dreams and their powers and influence. The Babylonians also believed that dreams were either good or bad, with the good dreams being sent by the gods and the bad dreams being sent by demons. The Hebrews felt good dreams came from God and bad dreams were from evil spirits.

The bible has 20 references to dreams and  according  to the Quran  when sleeping, the soul partially departs from our body and returns back when we wake up. The Hindus  believe dream interpretation can provide a window maxresdefault (8)into the future. The Native American culture is rich with dreams interpretations, helping to balance their world.

From a science prospective, the dream is unconstrained by facts, reality or even physics and its details are beyond the  control of the dreamer. Dreams can be the most enjoyable and fascinating aspect of sleep or  the most unpleasant and horrifying aspect of sleep. Science believes that during the day the brain takes in a good deal of information and most not relevant. There have been factoftheday_62_coolsciencefactspublication after publication; Freud, Carl Jung  and even Harvard Scientists,  and it seems no one can make sense out of the information gathered.

There are some interesting reports on dreaming.  Elias  Howe had the idea of a sewing machine but just couldn’t quite figure it out to make it right. He had a dream that he was captured by a group of wild savages and they were threatening him with spears. He noticed the spears all had holes near there pointed end and his problem was solved.

The first version of the periodic table was created by a Russian scientist, Dmitri Mendeleev in the 1860’s.

The Russian scientist Dmitri Mendeleev was struggling with the understanding and organizing the properties of the elements when in a dream he saw them arranged in columns and rows which is now the periodic table of the elements.

The German scientist Friedrich August Kekule made significant contributions to organic chemistry by discovering how carbon atoms could be arranged. He had been working with ideas of how carbon atoms could be linked together in chains. In a dream he saw the chains as snakes twisting and then one snake started to eat it’s tail creating the ring structure.

Even when one sleeps very little or light a sleep like Thomas Edison, dreaming still 22467515_1453079374782322_7339248099471527281_ooccurs. Edison thought he got his best ideas when just falling asleep. He called the transition between wake and deep sleep the genius gap.  He then invented a ways to maximize his sleep onset dream by falling asleep on a lab bench with one hand clutching a handful of ball bearing. If he transitioned into deeper sleep his hand would drop the ball bearing, and as they hit the floor would wake him and then he would quickly write down any ideas he had experienced.

According to the Law of One, dreams can be of positive or negative influences. If we can remember our dreams and  find specific meanings and clues, it may reduce or even eliminate blockages of our energy centers or chakras, allowing us to become balance.  Dreaming is a bridge from conscious to unconscious. During this state, all of our  subconsciousexperiences, distortions and confusion occurring during our life may actually be healed if we can remember.  This can be accomplished by remembering our dreams immediately when we wake by recalling every detail and recording, either by memory or writing. This sharpens our ability to recall the dream since most of us perceive our dreams as confusing, meaningless, and are quickly lost.  Remembering can be learned.  With the proper amount of dreaming comes the healing of our  distortions. Continued lack of dreaming  could cause even more distortions and confusion for the individual.

 Law of One

The other function of the dreaming which is of aid is that type of dream which is visionary and which prophets and mystics have experienced from days of old. Their visions come through the roots of mind and speak to a hungry world. Thus the dream is of service without being of a personally polarizing nature. However, in that mystic or prophet [who] desires to serve, such service will increase the entity’s polarity.

So it appears good recall of dreams, like Howe,  Mendeleev,  Kekule and Edison, will bring additional meaning to our lives;  spiritual growth and evolution. Recalling and  understanding the meaning and then deciphering is something only you can do.

Dreams can have positive and negative influences much like synchronicities.   Spiritual synchronicities may be messages from our guides.  The Law Of One   made this recommendation when asked,  “Each of us gets the signals and dreams. I have been aware of clairaudient communication at least once in waking up. Can you suggest a method whereby we might, shall I say, nullify the effect of the influence that we don’t want from a negative source?”

There are various methods. We shall offer the most available or simple. To share the difficult contact with the other-selves associated with this working and to meditate in love for these senders of images and light for self and other-selves is the most available means of nullifying the effects of such occurrences. To downgrade these experiences by the use of intellect or the disciplines of will is to invite the prolonging of the effects. Far better then to share in trust such experiences and join hearts and souls in love and light with compassion for the sender and armor for the self.

We dream for a reason, a gift for us to use to grow in our spiritual evolution.  By recalling,  deciphering and understanding our dreams, we can find answers and guidance and perhaps even unlock the mysteries of life.

We have the same abilities as the mystics and prophets of old,  we just need to train ourselves by trying to recall and understand our dreams. Most importantly, before you go to sleep, your intentions should be of  love and wisdom and follow your higher-self.The_Phillip_Medhurst_Picture_Torah_197._Joseph_interpreting_Pharaoh’s_dream._Genesis_cap_41_vv_1432._De_Bruin-1598x900

In the Book of  Daniel of the Old Testament, Daniel  interpreted a dream of Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon . King Nebuchadnezzar then acknowledges the supremacy of Daniel’s God and raises him to high office in Babylon. Perhaps the dreams and visions of ancient times were meant just for that time. A guide to show us we are capable of the same thing.

I will leave with one last question and answer about dreaming from the  Law of One.  Pleasant Dreams!

86.7  Questioner: You stated that dreaming, if made available to the conscious mind, will aid greatly in polarization. Would you define dreaming or tell us what it is and how it aids in polarization?

Ra: I am Ra. Dreaming is an activity of communication through the veil of the unconscious mind and the conscious mind. The nature of this activity is wholly dependent upon the situation regarding the energy center blockages, activations, and crystallizations of a given mind/body/spirit complex.

In one who is blocked at two of the three lower energy centers dreaming will be of value in the polarization process in that there will be a repetition of those portions of recent catalyst as well as deeper-held blockages, thereby giving the waking mind clues as to the nature of these blockages and hints as to possible changes in perception which may lead to the unblocking.

This type of dreaming or communication through the veiled portions of the mind occurs also with those mind/body/spirit complexes which are functioning with far less blockage and enjoying the green-ray activation or higher activation at those times at which the mind/body/spirit complex experiences catalyst, momentarily reblocking or baffling or otherwise distorting the flow of energy influx. Therefore, in all cases it is useful to a mind/body/spirit complex to ponder the content and emotive resonance of dreams.

For those whose green-ray energy centers have been activated as well as for those whose green-ray energy centers are offered an unusual unblockage due to extreme catalyst, such as what is termed the physical death of the self or one which is beloved occurring in what you may call your near future, dreaming takes on another activity. This is what may loosely be termed precognition or a knowing which is prior to that which shall occur in physical manifestation in your yellow-ray third-density space/time. This property of the mind depends upon its placement, to a great extent, in time/space so that the terms of present and future and past have no meaning. This will, if made proper use of by the mind/body/spirit*, enable this entity to enter more fully into the all-compassionate love of each and every circumstance including those circumstances against which an entity may have a strong distortion towards what you may call unhappiness.

As a mind/body/spirit* consciously chooses the path of the adept and, with each energy center balanced to a minimal degree, begins to open the indigo-ray energy center, the so-called dreaming becomes the most efficient tool for polarization, for, if it is known by the adept that work may be done in consciousness while the so-called conscious mind rests, this adept may call upon those which guide it, those presences which surround it, and, most of all, the magical personality which is the higher self in space/time analog as it moves into the sleeping mode of consciousness. With these affirmations attended to, the activity of dreaming reaches that potential of learn/teaching which is most helpful to increasing the distortions of the adept towards its chosen polarity.

There are other possibilities of the dreaming not so closely aligned with the increase in polarity which we do not cover at this particular space/time.

* Should be mind/body/spirit complex. Ra and Don corrected the error in session 87.

  1. Thank you for sharing another interesting post full of wisdom.

Many years ago I read of a hint for those who would like to remember dreams: Do not move, especially turning over, until you have thought through the dream, several times. I have found this always works to remember the dream. without having to write it down immediately.

Recently I have been working my way through the teachings of Kryon channelled by Lee Carroll, Kryon says that in sleep we move out of lineare time, and this makes so much sense to me. as I often have dreams where I am with my children and grandchildren, and we are all children. or they are all lilttle children (at the same time) and I’m their mother.

I also often wake-up with poem titles given at that moment of awakening.
    Love, Light & Blessings <3 .

    1. Thank you for your kind words and your insight on our dreams. Dreams can be very telling probably more than we can ever imagine. Translating to our understanding seems to be the problem for me. Children and grandchildren are our blessings and we can learn so much from them. Like you, I may wake up with a thought and may end up as a post or a even a solution to a problem. Thank you so much Trina for your wonderful insight.
