Fear is the driving factor for the chaos, creating confusion, disorder, turbulent events as we are seeing around the world. Of course, this creates emotional states in all of us, where we might feel overwhelmed by conflicting thoughts and stresses, metaphorically described as mental or emotional turmoil. Today, there is plenty of turmoil to go around as the veil covering the truth is being lifted for all to see. Understanding is essential not only for our physical well being but also our spiritual evolution. I think this quote from Jesus may provide some insight.

Jesus said in Gospel of Thomas (5) “Recognize what is in your sight, and that which is hidden from you will become plain to you . For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest.”

By seeking to understand our world as it is today, we may discover our world is not as it seems and our physical and metaphysical worlds are inseparable. This is the beginning path to awareness.

Fear is a negative emotional reaction rooted in misunderstanding, ignorance or misinterpretation while understanding is a path to awareness. Understanding is a journey seeking knowledge, perpective and clarity. By gaining insight, understanding, dissolves fear and opens pathways for growth in all aspect of our lives. . It also bridges gaps between different perspectives creating less conflict not only in our daily lives but for those around us.

Which one lasts longer is up to you. By choosing understanding rather than fear you transform challenges into opportunities for growth, learning and connection to something greater.

Seeking to understand our world and realizing it is not as it seems and our physical and metaphysical worlds are inseparable, will be the beginning path to awareness. Awareness is the state of being conscious, attentive and fully present to what is happen within and around us. It is recognizing how our thoughts, emotions and behavior create our reality and those around us. By cultivating awareness, we empower ourselves to respond to our lives consciously rather than reacting unconsciously. It is the key from moving from fear to understanding and ultimately to transformation.
