Where are the children going? Globally, millions of children go missing each year, but exact figures are elusive due to inconsistent definitions of a “missing child,” under-reporting, varying national data collection practices, and cultural or legal barriers to reporting. Organizations like the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC) and UNICEF emphasize that a “missing child” is typically anyone under 18 whose whereabouts are unknown, encompassing runaways, abductions, lost children, and those separated during migration or conflict. Estimates suggest 8 million children are reported missing worldwide annually, though this is likely an underestimate as many cases—especially in low-income or conflict zones—go unreported. Recovery rates are high in developed countries (often >90%), but lower globally due to trafficking, exploitation, and lack of resources. Key challenges in data: No unified global database exists; statistics rely on national reports, which may inflate (e.g., including resolved cases) or deflate (e.g., excluding runaways).
Under-reporting is rampant in regions like South Asia and sub-Saharan Africa, where social stigma or weak systems prevail.
Migration and conflict exacerbate numbers: UNICEF reports 33.7 million children displaced globally (1 in 69 children), many at risk of going missing. The following is a breakdown by country and should be alarming to everyone.
Approximate Annual Reported Missing Children
- United States – 460,000 children reported missing annually.
- United Kingdom- 112,853 children reported missing annually (some reports say ~170,000 depending on definition).
- Canada- 45,288 children reported missing annually.
- India- 96,000 children go missing each year (by some NGO estimates).
- Australia- 20,000 children reported missing annually.
- Germany- 100,000 children reported missing annually.
- Spain- 20,000 children reported missing annually.
- Russia- 45,000 children reported missing annually (reported in 2015).
Exact number of children missing due to sex trafficking or organ harvesting is challenging due to the hidden nature of these crimes. It is estimated 1–2 million children exploited commercially worldwide. This overlaps with10–20% of the 8 million annual missing children reports. Globally, 35% of detected trafficking victims are children, with girls at 60% for sexual exploitation. Organ harvesting is believed to be 1,000–5,000 children out of the 10,000–12,000 total illegal transplants each year.
We should ask ourselves, “Why are Children Targeted?” Is it because of our culture and our callous acceptance that there is nothing we can do about it?
We should look at it through four lenses and seeing one dark pattern. Across religions, psychology, and spiritual teachings, there is only one truth. Negative forces always seeks the innocence of children, not because children are weak, but their purity is powerful. .Across every lens, religion, psychology, ancient esoteric teachings, and the Law of One — the same truth emerges: Negative forces targets children because innocence is powerful.
Psychologically, missing and exploited children result from human cruelty, corruption, and profit-driven trafficking networks.
Biblically, harming children is viewed as direct demonic influence meant to sever humanity from God.
Gnostic writings say Archons influence human systems — not individuals — to create trauma and fear by destroying innocence.
The Law of One explains this as negative polarity, which uses trauma to keep humanity fearful, divided, and easy to control.
Different language — same pattern. When children are harmed, the heart of a society is wounded. Human consciousness becomes numb and disconnected; fear replaces love and darkness gains power. It keeps our culture and world in darkness.
When children are protected, humanity rises, our spiritual connection deepens, love becomes the dominant energy and evil loses its hold. Our culture and world rise out of the darkness.
The global crisis around missing and exploited children is not only a crime-statistics issue, it is the spiritual battleground of our time. Children are at the heart of Jesus’ deepest spiritual teaching. Not because they are small or helpless, but because they carry a purity adult have forgotten.
The Gospel of Thomas, one of the earliest collections of Jesus’ sayings, reveals that children are the living doorway to the Kingdom of God. In a world where children are exploited, ignored, or spiritually neglected, Jesus’ words are a warning and a calling: When a society harms its children, it loses its light. When a society protects its children, it steps into the Kingdom.
Enlightenment is not reaching upward; it is returning to the heart we had before the world changed us. Protecting children is not just morality. Protecting children is the path back to God / Source / the One Infinite Creator. Heal the children, heal the world.
From another perspective is the Law of One. Some have been deemed this the greatest teaching since Jesus that took place from 1981–1984. The Law of One is a metaphysical teaching channeled by L/L Research, in which an entity identifying itself as Ra—a sixth-density social memory complex—explains the structure and purpose of the universe. Everything is viewed through the lens of two fundamental paths of evolution:
Service-to-Others (STO) polarity (positive path, love/light, unity)
Service-to-Self (STS) polarity (negative path, control/light, separation)
Loosh Free Will is the First Distortion
Earth is a third-density planet whose primary lesson is the choice between STO and STS. Infringement of free will is the single greatest “sin” in this system.
Children as High-Voltage Spiritual Catalysts
Young children (especially before the “veil” fully drops around age 6–7) carry an extremely intense, pure energy of love, wonder, and openness. Their energy field is still strongly connected to the “time/space” (metaphysical) realm and radiates undistorted love/light. Ra calls this “the love of children” one of the most powerful energies on the planet.
Loosh / Energy Harvesting
The Law of One does not use the exact word “loosh,” but it describes the same concept: negatively oriented entities (both incarnate and discarnate, 4th- and 5th-density STS) feed on fear, terror, suffering, and despair. The more intense and prolonged the low-frequency emotion, the more usable energy is produced for the negative hierarchy.
Ra explicitly states (Session 46.12, 65.11, etc.) that pain and suffering are “harvested by Orion crusaders.
Why children are the ultimate target from an STS perspective
- A child’s terror and betrayal of innocence produce an extremely pure and concentrated form of fear/distress energy.
- The violation of innocence simultaneously traumatizes the collective human mind/body/spirit complex, lowering planetary vibration and making the population easier to control.
- It generates multi-generational trauma that keeps incarnating souls locked in cycles of victim/victimizer dynamics—exactly what the negative polarity wants in order to maintain power in third density.
- Symbolically and energetically, the corruption of the “newly arriving light” (fresh souls) prevents the planet from raising its overall frequency toward fourth-density positive harvest.
The positive counter-perspective
- Protecting, nurturing, and fiercely loving children is one of the fastest ways for an individual or society to polarize Service-to-Others.
- Every act of genuine protection and healing of a child sends an enormous pulse of love/light into the planetary energy grid.
- Ra says that the energy exchanged in the loving care of children is “infinite in its potency” (Session 63.28).
- Mass awareness and refusal to tolerate these atrocities is part of the “calling” of light that is currently shifting Earth toward a mixed (but increasingly positive) fourth-density state.
In summary, from the Law of One viewpoint, the systematic targeting of children is not random evil—it is the single most efficient mechanism the negative polarity has discovered to (a) harvest massive amounts of usable energy and (b) keep humanity trapped in third-density separation and fear. Conversely, protecting and healing children is one of the most powerful acts of service-to-others an individual or civilization can perform, and is a key part of the positive harvest currently underway on Earth.
Humanity can reduce and ultimately eliminate child trafficking by uniting moral courage with practical action: strengthening families and communities so children are less vulnerable, demanding transparent laws that aggressively prosecute traffickers and dismantle the financial networks that sustain them, supporting global education and economic stability to reduce desperation, expanding child-protection systems, and empowering survivors with resources and healing. Equally important is cultivating a culture that protects innocence—where adults remain vigilant, digital spaces are monitored responsibly, social silence is broken, and society refuses to look away. When people choose compassion over apathy, speak truth over denial, and act collectively rather than individually, the systems of exploitation lose their power. Protecting children is not only a legal duty but a spiritual responsibility—and when humanity chooses to defend innocence together, child trafficking cannot survive.
