Earth’s Magnetic field is weakening: Scientifically and Esoterically 

Scientifically Yes — NASA and other scientific agencies are indeed tracking worrying changes in the Earth’s magnetic field. Below is a breakdown of what the concern is, what the evidence shows,

One major focus is the region known as the South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) — a zone over South America and the South Atlantic where Earth’s magnetic field is significantly weaker than typical.  According to data from satellites (for example the Swarm mission) the anomaly has expanded in area and weakened in magnetic field strength in recent years.  Also of interest: the movement of the Earth’s magnetic north pole is accelerating and shifting in ways not fully expected.  NASA emphasizes that while there is no imminent “catastrophe” for life on Earth’s surface, there are genuine concerns for satellites, spacecraft electronics, and for understanding what is happening deep inside Earth (the core/mantle processes) that generate the field. 

Why is the magnetic field weakening in places?

But no, they are not saying “imminent global disaster”. The key phrase is that they regard this as a significant evolution of the system, with implications for technological, geophysical, and long-term environmental processes.
