The Kundalini life force has been known as eastern concept for centuries and just beginning to be of interest in the west. Every human being has the ability to awaken our divine Kundalini, that lays dormant at the base of our spine until it is aroused. It is depicted as the rising serpent. Most people never feel it and never know it is there. There may be a brief flash of light, lasting only a few seconds or longer or it could last for minutes, even hours. In a very few people, perhaps one in one thousand, this energy becomes aroused, and activated. This can be a positive event or it can be unsettling and disruptive, depending on whether you intended to aroused your kundalini or by accident.
It is an important concept to grasp that human body has and generates energy. The body has sophisticated network of energy pathways, known as meridians. The seven spiritual Chakras, known as energy centers are located from the base of our spine to the top of our head, following the spine. Edgar Cayce correlated these seven spiritual centers with the many “sevens” in the biblical book of revelations and with the seven endocrine glands in the body.
The base of the spine is the lower or negative pole of the energy field. During meditation and if the kundalini is activated, it flows through the meridians pathways, drawing universal energy into itself and move upward to be met and react to the positive spiraling energy moving downward called kundalini awakening. When we are conscience of this pathway, we can identify where our energy is and where it can go, not just physically, but spiritually. During kundalini awakening, your vibratory level changes significantly. Your awareness alters, your vibration increases, and you literally see things from a state of higher consciousness. During intense rising experiences, people can become aware of psychic phenomena outside the limits of their normal awareness. For example, people who do not normally have psychic abilities may have spiritual visions. Perhaps that is why the human body is the considered sacred, it contains our divine spark, our essence, as we wander through this confusing and distorted world.
It interesting how the medical symbol to your right, used by our medical profession is similar to the awaken Kundalini power symbol, coiled like a serpent at the base of the spine, ready to spring up to manifest itself through the chakras.
The bible refers to a story that Jesus took and applied it to Himself, John 3:14: “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up.”
Was Jesus referring to the serpent in a the Garden of Eden, the story of our descent of the life force of our soul into physical life, separating us from God and causing us to leave our companionship with our Creator in the garden. Moses raises this serpent up again and this act gives him power and eventually the ability to meet God on the Mount Sinai. Jesus raised the serpent energy to everlasting life, so does that mean each of us must raise our life force, to its rightful, original level of vibration and vitality. Is this how we are born again, to give birth to our spiritual self?
Perhaps now is the time for west and east concepts to come together for the betterment of all humanity.
