Spiritual Healing

As we increase our understanding of our true nature,  we begin to realize there is a  divine-love-quotes-8-17-best-images-about-love-on-pinterestSource,  a Universal Intelligence of pure divine energy, that connects us all. Science may call it a quantum or biofield, described as “a field of energy and information, both putative and subtle, that regulates the homeodynamic function of living organisms and may play a substantial role in understanding and guiding health processes.” Science also tells us that the heart electromagnetic energy  field be detected and measured several feet from the body.

More recently, Dr. Valerie V. Hunt, scientist, author, lecturer and Professor Emeritus of Physiological Science at the University of California confirmed electromagnetic energy is the most plentiful constant energy of our universe. It is a part of all structures living and dead, including the atmosphere. We create hqdefault (4)electromagnetic energies in the atoms of our living cells, which we enhance by the reaction with the atmospheric energy field. We know this expanded energy field as the human aura. Without this biofield life would not exist and there would be only an inner biochemical mix. Dr. Hunt was involved in research that is uncovering the various dimensions involved in the bioenergetic transactions between humans and the environment as they relate to human behaviors, emotions, health, illness, and disease, as well as scientifically quantifying the human aura and the levels of consciousness it contains., all you have to do is realize the power within you.

The Abrahamic religions, Christians, Jews and Islam may refer to this quantum or biofield as the Holy Spirit while while Taoist refer to chi or qi and the Dao or the way. tetragrammaton-ineffable-name-of-godHindu refer to prana and chakras while the Buddha included prana under a different name, one that is also used in yoga. The words is virya, and it means vitality, or life energy.

Consider all the different labels of this divine energy by science and religion the same. When we realize we are co-creators by our thoughts, emotions and actions then the healing process can begin.

We are all subject to three types of diseases that affect the body, mind and Spirit and all are interrelated. Disease normally occurs during 68395567_2628362577247376_4371379888091824128_nrecurring negative thoughts, emotions and actions. We know the Law of Karma, we reap what we sow. The body is affected by bacteria, virus and an array of toxins in our foods and environment. Our bodies suffer from pain that needs physical healing. Our minds are susceptible to infection by fear, worries, anger, greed, selfishness, jealousy just to name of few, which requires mental healing. Our spirit is haunted by the disease of forgetting our true nature which cause man to forget their perfect divine nature and focus on the physical world. Ignorance creates imbalances between body, mind and spirit.

Chakras  are the bodies seven energy centers. The healing process begins with clearing blockages in these energy centers and connect to the quantum field. Energy flows with love. When we love others as we love ourselves; love nature; be of service to others and placeboare mindful of our thoughts, emotions and actions, the healing process will begin. Prayer, meditation, contemplation and gratitude is part of the healing process.

Jesus   message to us was we all have the ability to heal if we believe his message of love and enlightenment and look within ourselves to find the answers. In  John 14:12 when Jesus said “Most certainly I tell you, he who believes in me, the works that I do, he will do also; and he will do greater works than these, because I am going to my Father.

Why did the Church Murder the Cathars?

The Cathars are among the great burn victims of history. Their beliefs were an early History-of-Catharism-and-the-Albigensian-Crusade (2)form of Christianity originating in the East, and opposed a dogmatic, coercive Catholic Church.  They were exterminated by burning at the stake on huge pyres. Catharism designates a religious movement of Christian origin dating from the late 12th century. Its followers were particularly numerous in Occitania, southern France. The Cathar vision of the universe was dualist: light and the spirit, good,  confronting matter and darkness,  evil. This belief led them to follow an ascetic way of life. Considered as heretics, the Cathars were decimated  by the the Albigensian crusade, initiated by Pope Innocent III. The most well-known burnings were those of Minerve in 1208 and Montségur in 1244. So why so much brutality by the Catholic Church?

The Cathar theology was essentially Gnostic in nature. The gnostics were religious cathars_origmystics who proclaimed gnosis, knowledge, as the way of salvation. To know oneself truly allowed gnostic men and women to know god directly, without any need for the mediation of rabbis, priests, bishops,  or other religious officials.

Cathar practices were often in direct contradiction to how the Catholic Church conducted business, especially with regards to the issues of poverty and the moral character of priests. The so-called Cathar heretic-1heresy was a major challenge to the Roman Catholic Church in the 12th century. Heresy is a belief or opinion contrary to orthodox religious doctrine in the Christian religion. The English word heresy comes from the Greek word hairesis,  which meant “school of thought,” “sect,” or “faction.” It originally did not have negative connotation. I would be considered a heretic today because my beliefs are contrary to the Christians beliefs.

Cathar beliefs included recognition of the feminine principle of the divine. God was both man and woman with the female aspect of God was Sophia, “wisdom” encouraged 4ed2d18b64d10ea71b4366313a42f49c--santa-sophia-triple-goddessequality of the sexes in Cathar communities.  Gnostics also sought knowledge and wisdom from many different sources, and they accepted insight wherever it could be found. Like those who came before them, they embraced a personified wisdom, Sophia, understood variously and taken as the manifestation of divine insight.

Cathars also believed in Reincarnation. A soul would be continually reborn until it renounced the world completely and escaped incarnation.

The also believed in Cosmic Duality,   meaning the the existence of two powerful deities in the universe, one good and one evil,  positive and negative, who were in a constant in conflict. The purpose of life was to serve 33a935279924723a667cdc080ca2ea6athe good by serving others and escape from the cycle of rebirth and death to return home to God, much like the Gnostics.

The cathars were also vegetarians and everyone worked and believed in manual labor including their priest. Celibacy was also encouraged generally since it was thought that every person born was just another poor soul trapped by the devil in a body. Marriage overall was discouraged.

The only books of the New Testament they accepted were the gospels, completely rejecting the epistles of Paul and the others, with a special emphasis on the Gospel According to John.

The Cathars lived in communities which varied in size from 60 to 600 individuals. They f.76.rappear in small numbers in records from the 1140’s CE in France, but by 1167 CE, there were enough communities in the region to require an assembly to set rules and boundaries. They were non-violence, forbidden to kill, to make war, to lie and to swear. Life was purely spiritual and the body was totally despised. Within the church, a hierarchy existed between two categories of the faithful. The had followers or believers.  The priests or preaching brothers were  known as Parfaits, Perfecti, the perfect ones, or “bonshommes”, good men, good women. They wore a hooded black robe girded at the waist and the men were often bearded. They preached disobedience to the Roman clergy.

Robert-Bougre-Heretics-800x445Because of this and their doctrines,  Cathars were regarded as heretics. Methods of execution according to the situation and the crime. Robbers were punished by hanging, while noblemen were beheaded by the sword and the common people by the axe. Death by stoning was the punishment for adultery.  Punishment by fire could also take the form of roasting to death and burning on a gridiron.  But death by burning at the stake, an ancient tradition, was reserved for heretics. Punishment by fire was already used in earlier times, before Jesus Christ, and ranked high among the violent methods of execution. But it was in the Middleimage018 Ages, with the Inquisition, that widespread use was made of the great bonfires which made it possible to eliminate the Cathars “en masse”.

Because the Cathars were heretics,  they had to be burnt. The smallest trace of “sin” had to be extirpated, the corrupt body had to be destroyed and evil exorcised in the flames. Even corpses were disinterred and burnt if the deceased were suspected of being a heretics. Burning inflicted a double punishment, both temporal and spiritual, since the Cathar church considered that burial of a body was a necessary condition for resurrection.

In 1208 CE, Pope Innocent III sent the lawyer-monk Pierre de Castelnau to Southern France to enlist the aid of Raymond VI, Count of Toulouse  in suppressing the heresy by murder. According to Church documents, 20,000 heretics were slaughtered in and arnaud-amalric-a4c9ee59-adc0-4087-bcec-21b230a930f-resize-750around Beziers and the town burned to the ground, majority  being  women and children.

Reformation was fuelled by the preserved ideas of the Cathars and their fellow “heretics.  As an organized religious sect, Catharism was eliminated during the churches purge of heretics in Southern France but continued as a living faith. There are even Cathars alive today, or at least people claiming to be modern Cathars. Reformers seem to have known things that the Cathars knew, and even today, some Protestant Churches claim a Cathar heritage.

Catharism may have been the survival of Gnosticism, the most fascinating and perplexing phenomena in Western religious history.  Orthodox Christianity also tried to 6271-lec8-1536x865eliminate the Gnostics as heretics as well. Because scholars had to depend on writings of opponents of the Gnostics and other so-called heretical groups, there was no real understanding of their beliefs.  However in 1945, one of the greatest discoveries of the century was made when a collection of thirteen ancient books, called “codices”, containing over fifty texts was found in caves. A large number Gnostic texts were found and thought to have been entirely destroyed during the early Christian struggle to define “orthodoxy” in the 2nd and 3rd centuries.

One discovery was the Gospel of Thomas, 114  Secret sayings of Jesus. Many of the saying can be found in the New testament and many others are very Gnostic in nature. The first saying Jesus tells us,  “Whoever finds the meaning of these words will not taste death.”

Perhaps this is what the church was concerned about. To truly find God we do not need the church but look within as Jesus was trying to tell  us in Saying three: If those who lead you say to you: See, the kingdom is in heaven, then the birds of the heaven will go before you; if they say to you: It is in the sea, then the fish will go before you. But the kingdom is within you, and it is outside of you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the sons of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty, and you are poverty.

Self Awareness

To know yourself may be the most important aspect of any spiritual journey. Our lives are so connected to families, friends and our jobs, living in the physical world of media, 70444051_498887950951344_4587249759047122944_nreligion, governments, corporations, banks and education. We are living it everyday, all day, week after week, month after month, year after year. Then one day there is a feeling, “is this it”, and a desire to want to “know the truth”. Who are we really, why are we here, where are we going. It becomes a lifetime endeavor of seeking the truth and to know our true-selves.

Self awareness can simply be aware of your thoughts, emotions and actions moment by moment and understanding the world around you. Realizing we live in the inseparable 79129951_10219260512159354_4070859377123262464_nphysical and metaphysical worlds and the world is not as it seems can be helpful. There is a vibrating constant energetic motion within all things, we can call Universal Intelligence, or God.

According to the Law of One, the mind must be known to itself and this  is perhaps the most demanding part of self awareness.  If the mind knows itself then the most important aspect of of self awareness has occurred as consciousness is the microcosm of the Oneness.  In other words, the macrocosmic intelligence which guides the birth and processes of the universe is reflected on a microcosmic scale in each individual being.  As energetic beings, we are radiating positive and negative energy by our thoughts, emotions and actions, creating our reality with all its distortions and confusion.  Our goal is to learn and have balance between love and wisdom.

Jesus said in the Gospel of Thomas “When you (plur.) make the two one and make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside and the above like the below, and that you might make the male and the female be one and the same, so that the male might not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye and a hand in place of a hand and a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image – then you will enter [the kingdom].”

Saying 22 of the Gospel states most vividly and fully the recurrent theme. Jesus sees infants being suckled. He tells his disciples that these infants are like those who enter the kingdom. “Shall we then,” they ask, “as children, enter the kingdom?” This prologue calls to mind, of course, the familiar saying from the canon: “Suffer the little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

To know yourself is the same message Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Krishna and many others 76769654_10156516563441566_544743934945918976_ohave been trying to tell us through the centuries. Lao Tzu tells us “Wisdom come from knowing oneself. He who knows himself is enlightened”. In the dialogue of the Savior Jesus said “Those who have truly found the Self within recognized that it exists everywhere.” Buddha added, “Everyone has recognized the self-ones essential nature. But few have realized it.”

We all have the divine gift of discernment, the act or process of exhibiting keen insight and good judgment. In its broadest sense, discernment is closely related to wisdom as an expression of God. Discernment alone can bring about a sense of balance between the Discernment-510x394worldly and the spiritual.

Each individual is responsible for their own awakening by whatever means they deem appropriate. Spirituality is understanding and loving the One by loving yourself, loving others,  nature and helping others. Meditation, contemplation and prayer, are the gateway to Infinite Intelligence. Being aware of your thoughts, emotions and actions, moment by moment, then analyze your own character, feelings, motives, and desires may be a good start to anyone’s  self awareness.

Heart and mind are of gratitude, appreciation and love for the Oneness of the Creator.  In meditation, choose to channel infinite love which does not fail. The more contact with this infinite love, the more infinite love is manifested, adding to being-ness, which the Creator shall see, bless and amplify.  Be the  love and light.

Geoengineering, The Law of One and Spirituality

Today all anyone has to do is go outside on most days and just look up. What many believe to be clouds or contrails, are Chemtrails or geoengineering sprayed by aircraft spread out and block the sunlight, called Sunshade geoengineering.  All of us, including the deniers, breathe the chemicals that are sprayed which seem to be continuous. All of this is under the pretense of global warming. It is not reported by mainstream media for a reason. geoengineeringThey do not want public uproar, but the meantime people are sicker today than ever before.

According to the Global Burden of Disease study in 2013 there are only about 4 percent of people worldwide had no health problems while a third,  about 2.3 billion people, had more than five health problems. Infectious diseases are spreading around the world faster than ever, says the World Health Organization, and new diseases are emerging at the unprecedented rate of one a year.

People are taking notice. Robert Lee, a concerned citizen and U.S. Marine veteran who owns and operates Rockingham Guns and Ammo wrote “Chemtrails: What are they spraying” in the Richmond County Daily Journal.  Even the CIA Director John O.Brennan, talks openly about Geoengineering, at the Council Of Foreign Relations , 29th June 2016.  There is an extensive list of geoengineering patents starting in 1891. Companies are making a business out of geoengineering and there is a long list.

Dane Wigington has been sounding the alarm for years about Geoengineering, but has been labeled as a conspiracy theorist, a name used to label people to ensure others do not listen or pay attention. Dane said with each passing day the transformation of our world is accelerating, the human race is pushing our once thriving planet past the point of no return.

Harvard scientists launched one of the largest research programs into “solar geoengineering,” a controversial technique involving the injection of aerosols into the stratosphere with the goal of cooling the planet and reversing climate change. Professor David Keith admits many thousands will die from Harvard Solar Geoengineering Program 2018. David Keith, on the Colbert Report, and on Ted Talk  spreading the  Geoengineering Conspiracy.  Bill Gates backs climate scientists lobbying for large-scale geoengineering and the UK House of Commons Science and Technology Committee wrote a regulation for geoengineering in 2010. There are experiments with the HAARP Ionospheric Heater which is basically a particle beam, uses a high-energy beam of atomic or subatomic particles to damage the target by disrupting its atomic or molecular structure.

For those of you that are familiar with the Law of One, a spiritual event that occurred from 1981 to 1984, we are told “The energy used is that of the field of electromagnetic energy which polarizes the Earth sphere. The weaponry is of two basic kinds: that which is called by your peoples psychotronic and that which is called by your peoples particle beam. The amount of destruction which is contained in this technology is considerable and the weapons have been used in many cases to alter weather patterns and to enhance the vibratory change which engulfs your planet at this time” in Session 8.7.  No one knew of the Experiments with the HAARP Ionospheric Heater in 1981.  In session 8.27, also addresses unmanned crafts which we know as drones today. That information was not readily available to the public in 1981.

Geoengineering is being conducted based on the global warming conspiracy.  It is a wonderful excuse for doing things that they want to do under the pretense of saving the planet. Even more dangerous are those with hidden political agenda. So lets review the facts.

Ice_Age_Temperature

This graph depicts changes in ice temperature during the last several glacial-interglacial cycles and comparison to changes in global ice volume. Over the past thousand years temperature changes have and did occur, a normal cycle for our planet.

The biggest questions concerning who we are, where we come from and where we are going have captivated scientists and mystics for centuries. Gregg Braden connects the missing links between science and spirituality to complete our understanding of humanity’s history, the origins of civilization and our interconnectedness with all things. Explore the deep truths of our origin, history, destiny and fate with Missing Links and truth about our warming planet.

The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing. Albert Einstein

Buddhism Fundamentals

The basic fundamentals are taming the unruly mind and being mindful of our thoughts, speech and actions. While as much as possible, avoid destructive ways of image01thought, speech and actions while cultivating positive and constructive ways of thought, speech and actions. This requires taming the mind, by ridding it of confusion about reality and about behavioral cause and effect.

hqdefault (3)Buddha teachings are; Commit not anything negative at all; splendidly enact what is constructive; fully subdue your own mind.

Negative means something self-destructive, something that causes problems and unhappiness to others. Splendidly enact what is constructive means something that brings about positivity and happiness for all.

682b863845642d1e1e21f79caf51d1bc--buddha-zen-buddhist-quotesMeditation is the tool to fully subdue your mind. Meditation is a natural relaxation state of the mind. The proper way to meditate is just start, developing a practice over time. Do what works for you. Sitting in a chair or floor with good posture, close your eyes, take 5–10 slow deep breaths, following your breath. Your relaxing your mind so try not to think of anything. Just focus on a point in the front of eyes. You will find your thoughts drifting to problems just bring the focus back to the point in front of the eyes. The time you meditate is up to you.

The above describes the first step of Dzogchen,an esoteric tradition of teachings considered to be the highest and most definitive path to enlightenment by Tibetan images (54) rainbow body loving thoughtsBuddhism, known for the Rainbow Body.  Buddha found enlightenment with the breath sitting under a tree. So with the will and wisdom, dzogchen becomes an incredibly profound and effective method for achieving enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. The fundamentals of Dzogchen meditation can be found here, and even may be the most powerful meditation technique.

Was Reincarnation Removed from the Bible?

This  study  demonstrates that the reincarnation concept in no way is unchristian,
since it was known among the Gnostics, the  original Christians.

Below is a workshop with the purpose and intention to create an awareness and education around the discussion of spirituality, gender, equal rights, and cosmic harmony between all of humanity.

Balancing our Lives

Our lives have limited time with limited energy; being in balance is very important. Our focus is on the material aspect of our world; providing for our families, trying to stay healthy, and trying to find our way spiritually. We all have problems and troubles. 72127554_1397073520458136_1438555366869696512_nHowever, how we handle those situations are entirely in our control. The wonderful thing about our lives is we have free-will and the ability to choose. Keep in mind energy flows where your attention goes.

Balancing involves the body, mind and spirit which includes diet, movement of the body, dealing with negative and positive emotions, and reconnecting to the source of creation. When you reconnect, you will realize the oneness of the creation. God, Tao, Infinite Creator, Universal Mind are one in the same, and is the Source of our existence.

Consider the sun or the earth as spiritual energy, or divine force. The energy that nourishes our body, mind and spirit. Sunlight is something we cannot live without. Light is the food for all life. The human body, according to the images11doctrine of chromotherapy, is basically composed of colors. Insufficient sunlight will result in low Vitamin D deficiencies, leading to the development of prostate and breast cancer, memory loss, and an increased risk for developing dementia and schizophrenia. Every creature and plant on earth is engulfed in light that affects its health conditions. It is interesting to note the energy of the sun has the colors of the rainbow, like the chakras of the human body.

Grounding, as we all know when we go to the beach, improves sleep and reduces stress. When I go barefoot, I am more relaxed and have a feeling of connection to the earth. Grounding is bare skin to the earth. Performing Chi gong or any meditative practice outside barefoot is an excellent way to cultivate energy as well as connect to mother nature. Grounding is a simple way to prevent and help inflammation with these techniques.

Movement of the body to help the flow of energy can be anything from gardening to y2019m06d22_workshop_01walking in nature, if possible, as well as Tai-chi or Chi-gong. Any kind of strenuous workout or exercise is helpful.

Meditation and prayer have been proven to be beneficial. Dr. Andrew Newberg’s research showed how meditative prayer changes our brain by using a 12 minute exercise, called the Kirtan Kriya. It is a type of meditative prayer when practiced daily for 8 weeks will improve cognition and activate parts of the brain that are central to memory.

Food is the fuel for the body so a diet should limit processed foods and sugar. Be thankful for the food that you put into your body. Intermittent fasting is very helpful and can be How-The-Body-Regenerates-Itselfdone by not eating in a 10–24 hours period. Drink plenty of water. Fasting will assist your body’s immune system in fighting off disease and illness.

Our thoughts and Emotions control who we are and what be become. Paracelsus, Father of Modern Medicine said “The spirit is the master, imagination the tool, and the body the plastic material . . . The power of the imagination is a great factor in medicine. It may produce diseases in man and in animals, and it may cure them . .. Ills of the body may be cured by remedies or by the power of the spirit acting through the soul.”

Being in balance means looking within and discovering your true self in your own way images1as Buddha did. Evaluate your life, determine how you would like to live. Write an affirmation and get in a daily meditation practice. Realize your thoughts, emotions and and actions help create your reality as well as those around you.

In your own way, be of service to others, finds ways that cultivates the expression and love of the Divine, and learn the ways of love and wisdom. Love is the one emotion that can overcome all. It is also the most difficult to understand fully, and certainly the most difficult to achieve. A world where everyone loves one another, as Jesus said, would not only bring balance to the body, but the world.

Reality and Visualization

Is it contradictory to accept reality and yet visualize for a better world? The acceptance albert_einstein_quoteof reality is just that, accepting what is currently occurring, visualization is for what is to come.

We worry constantly about what is happening, what may or may not happen. It is prudent to our own psychological well being as well as our spiritual growth to accept our reality as it comes to fruition, as this acceptance can bring peace to our psyche. I believe when we begin to accept reality as it is, it actually empowers us to change the reality of our world. Rather than looking at anything negative that we believe is our reality, if we find the love in it – the silver lining, then our reality begins to change. Our reality serves as a catalyst for our spiritual growth to teach us the ways of unconditional love. When we accept our reality, we begin to understand our purpose and role in this life.

Visualization through meditation is the practice of seeing and listening through the heart.

It’s one of the paths of making the mind and heart one. Studies have found that the human mind does not distinguish the difference between our own experience and that of which we experience through our eyes or dreams. Therefore; simply watching a program or playing a video game in which our body begins to react to our thoughts, our mind believes we are actually experiencing the event. The saying is we become what we think, our thoughts can and do create our reality. Every thought is a form of energy, we send that energy out into the world and it begins to manifest. Visualizing positive thoughts through the heart makes a direct connection to the mind increasing the intensity of our thoughts, sending positive energy out into our world and universe.

Visualization however, requires more than just the act of love through the heart and sight through the mind’s eye, it also requires a complete faith and trust of oneself.

Power of Words by Doctor Tom Graves

Words have two meanings which are denotation and connotation. Denotation is the basic concept that a word points to in a speaker’s and listener’s minds. For example, house means a structure that people live in. Connotation is the individual’s emotional reaction to the word. ‘House’ means something emotionally different to a real estate agent powerof-wordscompared to a mortgage paying homeowner, which is somewhat different from that of someone who rents. A homeowner is more aware of maintenance of the property than the renter. Abstract words like ‘kindness’, ‘love’, ‘hunger’ also means something different depending on a person’s cultural upbringing and experiences in life. and it is the same for religious and spiritual references like ‘God ” and ‘church’ and even a word like ‘school’.

Words have emotional power, and can be used for both good and not-so-good reasons. Ephesian 4:29 says “Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers.” This is a spiritual matter. Is your speech positive and edifying or negative and destructive? There is really no such thing as “positive” criticism. This same information can be gently delivered as suggestions, if you deliver it with encouraging spiritual intent. It is better to avoid saying words-are-powerful-they-can-create-or-they-can-destroy-so-choose-your-words-wisely-quote-1critical things trying to get people to behave physically like you might think they should. Romans 14:17 says, “for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit,” because being fair to others, getting along with them, and having fun are spiritually important, whereas trying to get people to adopt your veganism or political viewpoint only leads to discord and strife.

People do react negatively to words and phrases that belittle their beliefs. Another bad use of words is the news which continually harps on the bad things that happen. This is spiritually draining from the negative emotions that it produces in people. Then there are people who will use the Bible to criticize others. There is nothing spiritual about such a use of scripture. So it is better to monitor what you say and speak words that build up the positive emotions in other people. And you will benefit by helping to make the world a better place.

Tom has a Ph.D. in Linguistics from SUNY at Buffalo. His dissertation was a grammar of the Sherpa Language, so he actually has recordings of Ang Chhuldim Dorjee speaking Sherpa.  He has taught 140 college classes in the areas of Linguistics, English, and Medical Terminology.

Paul said I have become all things to all people

What did the apostle Paul mean when he said I have become all things to all people. Perhaps first we should consider the question, “Who was Paul” We believe he was the author of 1st and 2nd Corinthians, letters he wrote to his Churches.

pharisees_7Prior to Paul’s conversion, he was involved in persecuting Christians affirmed in the Book of Acts and in his own letters. Paul, or Saul, was a loyal Pharisee, the ones many believe responsible for Jesus’ crucifixion. In Galatians 1: 13,  Paul said you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it. In verse 14,  And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, so extremely zealous was I for the traditions of my fathers.”

A Pharisees is a member of an ancient Jewish sect, distinguished by strict observance of the traditional and written law, and commonly held to have pretensions to superior sanctity. Jesus was a thorn in their side. He was talking to the Jewish people in John 8 Bible-Verses-About-the-Essence-of-the-PhariseesWoe-to-PhariseesJesus speaks of the light of the world and how the truth will set you free. He also speaks of Children of the Devil when talking to the Jewish people when he said (v44) ,”You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies”.

Again in Matthew 23, Jesus was talking to the crowds warning against hypocrisy and the seven woes on the teachers of the law and Pharisees. Matthew 23 is a interesting read for those who are interested and may provide insight on understanding Paul.

Acts 9 tells us as Saul drew near to Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from paul-vision-road-to-damascus-505810-mobileheaven flashed around him. (4) He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?”5“Who are You, Lord?” Saul asked. “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,” He replied. 6“Now get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Paul was a pharisee loyal to the traditions of Yahweh the Jewish God which Jesus accused as the Devil in John 8:44. Jesus sevens woes were about the Pharisees and in Matthew 23:15 Jesus says “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have main-qimg-2f1393df9996cd762c91ff7c776f9e66succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are..”

Paul said in verse 22 “To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some.”

Did Paul go against Jesus message in Matthew 23:15 as well as the Church of today?  I Each person should come to their own conclusion. I think it is important to see Paul as a human with all the traits we all possess. According to Psychology Today our memories are fallible, our perceptions are unreliable and ourinspirational-bible-quotes-2-600x600 world view, regardless how strongly believed, may well be contrary to the facts and even physical law. The Bible is a wonderful tool but to truly find God one should look within, Jesus true message. It is about love and helping one another, regardless of religion or belief system.
