I would define a spiritual person as a seeker of truth and using our God given gift of discernment to decipher all the distortion and confusion we all face in our daily lives. It is understanding that we live in inseparable worlds, the metaphysical and the physical, mind and matter, the unseen and seen. A spiritual person develops the gift of discernment, our sixth sense to help find their Way.
The Way is referred to as the Way by the World’s great teachers is not one single path, but many paths leading to the same destination. Jesus said “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
Lao Tzu often refers to Tao as the Way to Heaven. Jesus called the Tao the Kingdom of heaven or the Kingdom of God. Later orthodox Christians misunderstood Jesus’ teachings about the Kingdom. Jesus taught the Kingdom is within us and around us.
Buddha tells us to practice the Way and to seek truth. Being in harmony with the Way is even better. Lao Tzu explains the Way is complete in itself. All blessings come from it, and holds nothing back to anyone. Krishna said those who find the Way are those who have love and forgiveness in their hearts.
A spiritual person is not confined to one religion or belief system, but seek to find their Way using all the tools available today.
Spiritual awakening is happening around the world and many do not even realize it. Consider it a lifelong process, simply reconnection to the source, God by many names. It is much like waking from a deep state of prolonged unconsciousness with our own unique experiences and perspectives It’s a paradigm shift that reconfigures the way we experience everything.
The awakening may begin with the realization there is something greater, something more than we could ever imagine. The world is not as it seems and we live in two inseparable worlds, the metaphysical as well as the physical. It may start with a mystical experience , a dream or simply wanting to know the truth. There are so many aspects regarding the spiritual and human condition and seeking the truth can be an arduous and difficult journey, often disturbing. Humanity as a whole, have experienced indoctrination and programming since birth. Our culture, education, religion and political systems have conditioned us in our belief and thought processes. People are drawn to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places to seek the truth. No religion or belief system has all the truth but all have some aspects of the truth. The awakening is to help us remember who we really are, why we are here because, we are distracted by the material world with confusion and distortions for so long.
Just in the last 100 years we had two world wars, with estimated deaths from 78-103 million that ended in 1945. Add another 8-10 million for the Korean and Vietnam wars; not counting the countless other battles and conflicts around the world. Then we look at the casualties of today’s societies around the world, unknowingly controlled by the corporations; owned by the few. With 95 % of the world wealth, they certainly have the means to continue their programming and indoctrination programs with bio, geo and hi-tech engineering.
World wide, we are 7.7 billion strong, as our positive and negative thoughts, emotions and actions created the world we live in today. The energy pulsating from our hearts vibrates into world. We have been divided by politics and religion, with continuous messaging from the media. We have been medicated and vaccinated by the pharmaceutical corporations, believing it will heal us, while unknowingly, we each have the ability to heal ourselves. Our beliefs and intentions are very powerful and the proof is right before your eyes; the world we have today. We are the creators!
Spiritual awakening is a gradual and intentional process of seeking the truth. We begin to realize the divine power within; an energy that is manifested when connected to the source. It flows throughout our body through energy centers known as the seven Chakras; the pineal gland known by Ancient traditions as the third eye. They knew of the pineal role in our spiritual development and communication with spiritual beings. Within Taoist self cultivation, the third eye, known as Ancestral Cavity, is located between and behind the eyes and serves as the cavity of profound and ancient knowledged and can be accessed through meditation and contemplation.
In Buddhism, the third eye refers to Eye of Consciousness, seeing the world beyond physical eyes. In Hinduism the third eye is the eye of spiritual wisdom and knowledge..
The third eye is mentioned in Matthew 6:22 when Jesus said, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”
In the Law of One, the third eye, the indigo-ray or 6th chakra is our gateway to connect with Infinite Intelligence. In order to connect, we have to unblock our lower energy centers, by dealing with the negative and positive, thoughts and emotions that has shaped our lives and freeing the pathways for the flow of energy.
The world outlook is dependent on each one of us. Each person is given a purpose by God, and the spiritual awakening will help define that purpose. It should be considered an honor.
You can start simply by consciously making God part of your day. You are energy and, the best way to tap into our source is a quiet mind. Prayer and meditation seem to be conflicting to many, but in actuality, prayer is your communication with our source, God by many names, and meditation is listening.
It is up to humanity to raise the collective consciousness of the planet. Collective consciousness is our thoughts, emotions and actions which operates as a unifying force. Whatever you think, feel and do is felt by everyone, creating not only your reality, but the world. Our society as a whole is a culmination and reflection of our attitudes and how we display them internally and externally. Each one of us is playing a role in collectively creating our own reality as well as the reality of those around us.
We are a world community connected by the internet. Science is now proving what many already knew, meditation has powerful benefits. It cannot only change the way we think, but we can learn of the power within as well. Meditation is about calming the mind, training yourself to think in a different way, connecting us to our metaphysical world. Many scientists now believe the earth’s magnetic field and the human population work together to create either harmony or disharmony in our world. The earth has electromagnetic energy and every human heart generates electromagnetic energy from our bodies to several feet away, according to our emotions. It was reported from a scientific perspective, group meditation called “Maharishi Effect,” that this practice reduces crime. So much so that Merseyside, England, went from being the third highest recorded crime city to the lowest ranked crime city in England, during the time of group meditation. Other cities around the world had similar effects when groups of people meditated at the same time each day. One was Washington DC, based on this report. When the group stopped meditating, the crime rate slowly increased. In physics, that affect is referred to as unified field theory (UFT), waves of vibration flow from everything in the universe affecting the collective consciousness.
Have you ever considered why the doctrine of reincarnation was not in the bible? Based on the Catholic church, doctrines are infallible teachings of the Church on matters of faith and morals and are connected to Dogmas. Dogmas are opinions believed to be true. Doctrines can develop over time as the Church comes to better understand them. It is said that even the Pope does not have the authority to change Doctrine. This short video may provide answers to that question that many ask today.
According to a 2018 Pew Research survey, 33% of Americans say they believe in reincarnation. There is even credible research on reincarnation conducted by Ian Stevenson, chairman of the psychiatry department at the University of Virginia Medical School. He began investigating the phenomenon of young children who say they recall a past life. Hundreds of such cases were looked into with the aim of validating if the person they remembered being actually existed. Stevenson traveled the world examining children’s memories and matching them to specific individuals. Not only were many validated, but some children even bore physical signs of injuries sustained when their previous incarnation. After Stevenson’s death in 2010, the research was continued by another U. of V. psychiatrist, Jim Tucker, who presents some fascinating statistics in two books. This online article summarizes some of the more startling numbers.
It is important to keep in mind man has created dogmas, doctrines and disciplines. We are continually being indoctrinated and programmed, not only governing our physical world, but our metaphysical world. The two worlds are inseparable. Perhaps one should be aware that Dogmas or Doctrines may entrench a person in a belief system and possibly stifling their spiritual growth and evolution. We each have God given gifts of free-will and discernment, to keep what helps us and let which does not drop away.
My friend Tom and I keep having a discussion about people and tribalism. Tom has his PHD in Linguistics so he has some knowledge about people, language and its structure. He insist that it is most people’s’ instinct to belong to a tribe. In the past, the Native Americans lived in tribes and for the most part still do. It is said Jesus belonged to the tribe of Judah. Others go to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, and mosques. We have families and jobs so that could also be considered tribal.
So I started to ask myself what is a tribe. I really do not have one, other than family and friends. But, then as I was writing this, I started thinking about you. Is spirituality tribal? What does tribal mean? In the Biblical sense, which was the original one in English, the Latin word translates Greek phyle “race or tribe of men, body of men united by ties of blood and descent, a clan”. Tribal in Latin can be interpreted as Generalis which means general, universal, tribal. Isn’t humanity a tribe united by body, mind and spirit? In the Gospel of Thomas, Jesus said, “If they say to you, ‘Where have you come from?’ say to them, ‘We have come from the light, from the place where the light came into being by itself, established [itself], and appeared in their image.’ We are all part of Infinite Intelligence and we are spiritual, so perhaps we could call it the Tribe of One.
Consider humanity as a tribe formed long ago with the potential of over 7 billion potential members. Individually they have created their own reality by their thoughts, emotions and actions but collectively, have unknowingly created our world. The Tribe of One requirements would simply be you have to be awake. Everyone is included, regardless of race or beliefs. The initiation is to know your true-self, be of service to others while learning the ways of love and wisdom.
As member of the Tribe of One, I find it liberating to break away from the status quo and bring collaboration and community into the world with no dogmas or doctrines. Love is the divine power. The Tribe of One purpose to spread and share love, compassion, gratitude, appreciation and be of service to others. It is not about judging, condemning or controlling others by instilling negative beliefs such as “burning in hell” “sin and repentance” ; even if you don’t believe or belong to the same group, as I do.
Divine Universal Infinite Intelligence radiating pure energy of love is our source. Within each of us is that divine spark or light waiting to be awaken. The spiritual path is unique for each person. The Law of One is a wonderful guide that has very deep spiritual teachings and has been said to be one of the most important spiritual documents since Jesus. Each tribal member is responsible for their own initiation by whatever means they deem appropriate.
We have been given special gifts to discover and apply them in our world today. Our job is to positively raise the planet vibration by applying these seven steps in our daily lives.
1. Love Infinite Intelligence
2. Love yourself
3. Love others as you love yourself
4. Love mother earth and nature.
5. Be of Service to others in your own way.
6. Meditation/Contemplation and pray to further your understanding and connection to the Infinite Intelligence.
7. Realize we are co-creators, and we create our lives with our thoughts, emotions and actions.
Know yourself, accept yourself and realize we are all one tribe with Infinite Intelligence. Our Journey will be different paths, different understandings but the progression is one. Our job is simple, to be the light, to spread love and compassion wherever we go. This short video provides some amazing facts about the human body. Hope you enjoy and welcome to the Tribe of One.
Have we forgotten our true nature? Perhaps one reason is we have been programmed since birth. Our education, media, political and religious systems play an integral part of who we are and who we become. It is a worldwide system of control to keep us occupied, and has become what we believe is normal.
Today, our world is in a confused and distorted state. Many begin to seek the truth, seeking answers to the age old questions of our identity. Most find this task difficult because society requires most to work at jobs 8 hours a day to pay for food, shelter and take care of families. We are constantly bombarded with corporate messaging creating fear. It becomes a confusing, distorted and arduous journey with many different paths, making it difficult to wake up spiritually and even more difficult to follow a spiritual path.
From a very young age we are programmed by our parents who were programed by their parents, and the vicious and seemly unbreakable cycle goes on and on. We go to schools, churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places where we are told how and what to think and how to believe and know God. Then we follow blindly for the rest of our lives, never seeking the truth about our true selves.
Who controls these systems and why do they want control? Perhaps it is to keep us from knowing our true nature, knowing our true self . Each of us have a higher power within, a divine light waiting to be awakened. We are all spiritual beings with a body and mind made of pure energy. Our thoughts create our reality through emotions and actions . Fear, control, greed, are just some negative emotions while love and helping others are some of the positive. We only think what we have been taught, and we are what we think!
Humanity has been in a deep sleep since our beginning and in order to begin the spiritual journey, one needs to wake up and ask the age old question, “Who am I”, why am I here” and “where am I going”.
In ancient times, there was a mystical poem about us called The Hymn of the Pearl. It may be one of the most foretelling Gnostic scriptures telling us of our true nature. The hymn is commonly interpreted as Gnostic view of the human condition; we are spirits lost in a world of matter and forgetful of our true origin. This state of affairs could change by a revelatory message delivered by a divine messenger. Perhaps the Law of One is that divine messenger.
Scott Mandelker, PHD, teacher and scholar said the Law of One material is “One of the most important spiritual documents since Jesus”.
It started in 1981, when three members of the L/L research, Don Elkins, a former Physics Professor and Airline pilot, Carla Rueckert, a devote Christian , and James McCarty, the sole survivor today, received a narrow band transmission from a Social memory complex named Ra. Ra stated,
“ We have watched your group. We have been called to your group, for you have a need for the diversity of experiences in channeling which go with a more intensive, or as you might call it, advanced approach to the system of studying the patterns of the illusions of your body, your mind, and your spirit, which you call seeking the truth. We hope to offer you a somewhat different slant upon the information which is always and ever the same.”
Many say it is a hoax but the complexity of the responses, which are so masterfully and skillfully crafted that no human could possibly have the knowledge or ability to create the responses. Others may say it is from the devil or satan. But in 1 John 4:1 of the New Testament says “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”
The sessions open with, “I am Ra. I greet you in the love and the light of our Infinite Creator” and closes with, “I am Ra. I leave you in the glory and the peace of the One Creator. Rejoice in the love/light, and go forth in the power of the One Creator. In joy, we leave you. Adonai.”
We have free-will to determine for ourselves if the Law of One is the revelatory message delivered by a divine messenger. The contact lasted from January 1981 to March 15, 1984 and was recorded and documented. The transcript contains over 2360 questions and answers in 106 sessions with a scientific and metaphysical vocabulary with a searchable database available free to all.
For me the Law of One provides insight on something else that occurred 38 years earlier, when thirteen ancient books, called “codices,” containing over fifty texts, was discovered in upper Egypt in 1945. Known as the Nag Hammadi Scriptures, scriptures such as the Gospel of Thomas, 114 secret sayings of Jesus, and the Gospel of Truth and many more thought to be destroyed by early Christianity. The texts were translated in the 1970’s and are available today. I have been studying the Gospel of Thomas for years and it was difficult to understand until I began studying the Law of One. It helped with the interpretation of the 114 secret teachings of Jesus and other sacred text, including the Bible. It simply provides a different and refreshing new perspective on what we have been taught. Of course today, 2000 years later, many refuse to believe they may hold any value because they were not canonized by the Catholic Church, and actually labeling them heresy. But interestingly Father Francis Tiso, a very controversial Priest, talks about our divine spark in this video.
We have the world at our fingertips to explore new and exciting ways to discover, connect and love our Creator. It all starts by looking within and loving others as you love yourself, love all of nature, and service to others. Realize your thoughts, emotions and actions allow you to become more aware of your true nature. Meditation, contemplation and prayer are the gateway to understanding the higher self; connecting with Infinite Intelligence, our true nature.
Connection to our source means a lifelong journey of seeking the truth and discovering who we are. Many go to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places of worship to seek the truth. The realization is all religions have some truth, but no religion has all the truth. If blindly followed, religion will simply put you in a box; providing their teachings, belief systems and rituals. Religion may contain hidden truths, a higher truth that can be used as stepping stones for our spiritual journey . Perhaps that is why people are leaving religion, because they want to know the truth, they want to know God.
Being controlled by a particular belief system or religion appears to be negative energy. “Thou shall not” found in the 10 commandments in the Book of Exodus is dictating what we should or should not do. If humanity is inherently good, why do we have to be told not to kill or steal, doesn’t that take away our free will? There are even questions where did the Old Testament originated? We’ve all heard of the flood story in Genesis 6-8 and scholars believe that story was taken from the Gilgamesh Epic, the great literary classic of ancient Mesopotamia. There are many contradictions and questions regarding the content of the Old Testament, much like the New Testament.
English translations of the bible began in the Middle ages and there were two efforts where the Church insisted only using their translations.
John Wycliffe, 1320-1384, translated the Bible into english but the Church condemned him for this action and ordered his books be burned.
William Tyndale, 1484-1536, also translated the Bible into english. He was particularly disturbed by the fact that the common man was unable to read the Bible for himself. He was also condemned as a heretic, both by the Catholic Church and the newly established Church of England. Tyndale was forced to leave England for Germany, but eventually authorities caught up with him and he was burned at the stake in Belgium.
Our connection to God, the source, divine matrix or Infinite Intelligence, and many other descriptive names, is something most strive to understand and define. Personally, God is pure divine energy, love being the dominant source of vibration. The vibration that we are here to learn and balance with wisdom. Each of us are a spark of pure divine energy. As we learn how our thoughts, emotions and actions are part of our grand spiritual evolution, we are creating the world around us. Within each of us, exist a higher power waiting to be awakened. We all have the divine gift of discernment, the act or process of exhibitingkeeninsightandgoodjudgment. In its broadest sense, discernment is closely related to wisdom as an expression of God. Discernment alone can bring about a sense of balance between the worldly and the spiritual.
If only the world lived by one simple message our teachers were trying to tell us, we could change our world. Jesus told us to “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The Buddha said, ” the only way you can become free is to love those who hate you”. Krishna said, “to me, all beings are the same. I hate none, and no one is more dear to me than another, and The Taoist Sage Lao Tzu said, “Nothing but good comes to him who loves others as he loves himself”. By honoring and respecting others’ beliefs and religions, not only will it bring us closer together, but closer to our Creator.
With each new day, you can be the light of the world. Look within and know you are that divine spark waiting to be awakened. Realize you have God given gifts and can learn to master them. Above all, believe in yourself and your relationship with God through meditation, contemplation, prayer and being mindful during the day. Connecting and understanding ourselves and the Divine is a lifelong process with many obstacles. With love and compassion, believe in yourself and your ability to know and learn the truth.
Gnosticism is one of the most fascinating and perplexing phenomena in western theological history. At the heart was the Greek word gnosis meaning, “Knowledge or Direct knowledge of God”. Existing far before its Christian descendants, Gnosis in Classical Greek meant true knowledge or wisdom depending on which ancient philosopher one reads. According to Plato, reality as perceived by the five senses is merely the surface of a highly complex and structured system. The act of seeing and recognizing this system Plato calls “ideas.” A key element in his philosophy, which would later transfer to Gnosticism and Gnostic, is the concept that every human had a previous and thorough understanding of the structures of reality. Unfortunately, this knowledge was somehow lost. The reclaiming of this knowledge through the comprehension of reality underlying structures is Gnosis.
Gnosis in the first century was a quiet movement, adapting to the situations and locations of the societies it encountered. From early Christian literature, there is an impression that Gnosis was a threat to subvert Christianity, even though there seems to be no unified front of Gnosis during this time. The Gnostics were just a variety of independent, small sects that on the whole seem very different from each other. However, these different sects even debated the same metaphysical, cosmologic, soteriological, and ethical themes as their more mainstream Christian counterparts. Gnostics were the early movement of Christianity and lost the early Christian struggle to define orthodoxy.
So who were the Gnostics? Irenaeus of Lyon, a bishop in the late 2nd century was an enemy of the Gnostics whom he called heretics. Irenaeus claimed that a single true Christianity originated with Jesus and the apostles. In his view other groups, such as the Gnostics, may claim to be Christians, but they were false deviations for the one true Christianity, and all competing Christians were heretics. Today we know Christianity was diverse from the very beginning. Even the original apostles did not agree on a single Christian message.
One of the most striking features of the Gnostic myth as Irenaeus tells it is that the God of Genesis is lower than the ultimate God and is arrogant, ignorant and evil. He is hostile to humans beings because humans beings have a share of the divine spirit that belongs to the higher God. The real name of the god who created this world is Ialdabaoth, a spiritual being who runs this universe like a tyrant.
This biblical father god of the Old Testament, also known as Yahweh or Jehovah, was hostile to human beings when he commanded Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, preventing them from knowing the spiritual truth.
When Adam and Eve eat from the tree, they gain gnosis, knowledge of the true God. Eve was encouraged to eat the fruit from a female deity known as Sophea, (Wisdom). As human beings continue to see true spiritual knowledge, Yahweh grows jealous of their devotion to the higher God and causes a flood to wipe out humanity. The higher God, Universal Intelligence, saves Noah and his family from the Yahweh evil plot.
Finally, human beings begin to lose the knowledge that Adam and Eve gain when they ate from the tree, but Universal Intelligence sends Jesus to restore this lost gnosis and rescue them from Yahweh and his fellow rulers.
The Gnostic Version of the Garden of Eden is much like the Sumerian Tablets and the Law of One Yahweh is mentioned 19 times and agrees with much of what the Gnostics said about the God of the Old Testament.
Orthodox Christianity created the idea of heresy to condemn the Gnostics quest for higher knowledge because of the different belief system. Early Christians wanted a single harmonious system and considered themselves as a single body of Christ and did not want any division. Overtime, people who followed the Gnostics were considered godless and imperious members of a school of thought and therefore heretics. Some in the Christian religion still believe that today. The destruction of their sacred texts was inevitable, so some hid them in caves and various other places so they could not be found.
In 1945, one of the most important archaeological discoveries in the 20th century occurred. Thirteen ancient codices containing over 50 texts of Gnostic works were found in caves in Upper Egypt untouched by scribes. All of these can be found in the Nag Hammadi Library.
The discovery in 1945 provides a new and refreshing school of thought about spirituality and Jesus message. The discovery also came at a time when it could be shared with the world and not suppressed as it was for the last twenty centuries. Jesus is a teacher of wisdom and understanding, speaking in metaphors and parables of love and enlightenment. Much different from the sin and repentance as the Church teaches. Since the discovery and publications, the Gospel of Thomas has been the most celebrated of the 50 ancient texts discovered in 1945.
Jesus said in saying 5 of the Gospel of Thomas, “Recognize what is in your sight, and that which is hidden from you will become plain to you . For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest.” Have we come to a time when all the secrets of the world are manifesting? Gnosticism was not confined to the Christians but is part of the belief systems of Sufism and the Saints of India and other eastern mystics. Gnosticism is not only alive but reemerging in a world that needs much love and wisdom.
The early Christians, specifically the Gnostics, believed a divine spark existed within us and our purpose was to find our way home. There was a mystical poem, believed to be written in the 1st or 2nd century. It is about us and is viewed by many as one of the greatest Gnostic scriptures ever composed. In the Hymn of the Pearl, we are spirits lost in a world of matter and forgetful of our true origin. It is gnostic tale of salvation, of sleeping in error and awakening to Light of quest not only for the pearl but for the benefit of possessing the pearl, a return to the Light.
In the beginning of the 1st century there were many sects of Christian beliefs and all lost out in the struggle with orthodoxy. Christians faced persecutions in the 1st, 2nd and even the third centuries. Many Christians were to face torture and death because they refused to worship the Roman state gods. Some Christians recanted their faith while others went to their death following Jesus’ example.
In 325, the first Council of Nicea began to canonize the bible, doing away with all other versions of Christianity, calling it heresy. Apparently the Romans hijacked true Christianity and transformed it into what we have today, both Catholic and Protestant religions. Many believe the Gnostics were the true Christians and were teaching Jesus true message. There are many of Jesus sayings in the New Testament that closely resemble Gnostic thought.
Jesus said in Luke 17:21, nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” or when Jesus was challenged and charged with blasphemy when he said he was the Son of God, when he said In John 10:34 “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”? or in John 14:12 “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” “Your eye is like a lamp that provides light for your body. In Matthew 6:22 Jesus said” When your eye is healthy, your whole body is filled with light.”
Heaven is within our midst, We are Gods, we can heal as Jesus, our bodies fill with light when our eye is healthy, is not something orthodox christianity teaches. Jesus said in the Gospel of Thomas, if we listen to our leaders, the birds and fish will proceed us to the kingdom of heaven. Instead, he said to look within ourselves as well as outside and then we will know our true selves. Some believe the Gospel of Thomas was composed anywhere from 40 AD to 100 AD.
Last time we left off with Saying 22 in the Gospel of Thomas. In saying 23 Jesus said, “I shall choose you, one out of a thousand, and two out of ten thousand, and they shall stand as a single one.”
From earliest times Messengers of the Light have come forth from the True God in order to assist humans in their quest for Gnosis. Jesus was telling us there will be men and women trying to explain the truth. Each will be standing alone, spreading the word but in the end stand united. For each person, it starts by looking within.
(24) His disciples said to him, “Show us the place where you are, since it is necessary for us to seek it.” He said to them, “Whoever has ears, let him hear. There is light within a man of light, and he lights up the whole world. If he does not shine, he is darkness.”
There will be men and women that will be awakened and will understand the true message of Jesus . And this message will spread the wisdom and knowledge to the people worldwide. If humanity can positively change and take over this wisdom, knowledge and truth, the world will change. If humanity cannot change and see the light then humanity will be in darkness.
(25) Jesus said, “Love your brother like your soul, guard him like the pupil of your eye.”
Love was Jesus message and he is telling us to love all people, as you love yourself and your siblings as your spirit. All people are equal in life with no exceptions.
(26) Jesus said, “You see the mote in your brother’s eye, but you do not see the beam in your own eye. When you cast the beam out of your own eye, then you will see clearly to cast the mote from your brother’s eye.”
Do not judge or try to change other people because we have to work on ourselves. What you become, is what we have created with your thoughts, emotions and actions.
(27) Jesus said, “If you do not fast as regards the world, you will not find the kingdom. If you do not observe the Sabbath as a Sabbath, you will not see the father.”
If you believe in and focus on the physical world, you will never find the metaphysical world or you true self. In metaphysical world we have another dimension, referred to as heaven. In order to find the dimension we have to detach from the physical world . Take time to meditate, contemplate and pray and discover your true self and you will find God is just a heartbeat away.
The Gospel of Thomas presented 114 secret saying of Jesus, discovered in 1945 in a cave in upper Egypt with many other Gnostic manuscripts. The text have been untouched by man for nearly 2000 years, perhaps for good reason. Some of the references and parallels sayings can be found in the New Testament. Jesus’ message is different from the church teachings. Instead of sin and repentance, it is love, enlightenment and look within and know yourself. In the very beginning of this wonderful text, we are told whoever understands and learns the meaning of these saying will not experience death. Jesus spoke in parables with a metaphysical and even mystical understanding with deeper meaning than we have been taught or even understood. Jesus was a Master, a teacher, telling us we all have the power within us known as the Christ Consciousness. Even in the New Testament Jesus tells us we can do the same works as he, even greater. In John 14:12, he said Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
In saying (20) The disciples said to Jesus, “Tell us what the kingdom of heavens resembles.” He said to them, “What it resembles is a grain of mustard seed. It is smaller than all other seeds, but if it falls upon plowed terrain it puts forth an enormous foliage and is a shade for birds of heaven. A similar parable can be found in Matthew 13:31-42 .
Consider our faith or belief system is represented by the mustard seed. It comes to us from Universal Intelligence through the Christ within, the Christ Consciousness. We are all born with this great seed. As we experience life, it is up to each individual to cultivate and grow this great power within by accepting love and compassion into our lives. Many may refer to this great power as the Holy Spirit, perhaps the emotions of Infinite Intelligence. All of our lives are full of trial and tribulations, but those experiences are our way to grow, much like the mustard seed. We call it God in expression, through the Christ in us. In saying 3 Jesus said When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the sons of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty, and you are poverty.
In saying (21) Mary said to Jesus, “Whom are your disciples like?”
He said, “They are like children who have settled in a field which is not theirs. When the owners of the field come, they will say, ‘Let us have back our field.’ They (will) undress in their presence in order to let them have back their field and to give it back to them. Therefore I say, if the owner of a house knows that the thief is coming, he will begin his vigil before he comes and will not let him dig through into his house of his domain to carry away his goods. You, then, be on your guard against the world. Arm yourselves with great strength lest the robbers find a way to come to you, for the difficulty which you expect will (surely) materialize. Let there be among you a man of understanding. When the grain ripened, he came quickly with his sickle in his hand and reaped it. Whoever has ears to hear, let him hear.”
Perhaps Jesus is describing the human condition, most unaware they are the divine spark of God or that mustard seed. Humanity as a whole accepts what they are told, provoking mostly negative thoughts and emotions. We all have to be on guard or we will be robbed of our divine right. If we believe difficulty will come, then it will materialize. Again our thoughts, emotions and actions create our reality. Those who understand this think independently will not fear death and are often taken young because they are ready. In the New Testament verses in Luke 12:39-40, Luke 11:21-22,Matt 24:37-44, Matt 12:29, Mark 3:27, and Mark 4:26-29, are similar sayings in the New Testament.
(22) Jesus saw some infants at the breast. He said to his disciples: These little ones at the breast are like those who enter into the kingdom. They said to him: If we then be children, shall we enter the kingdom? Jesus said to them: When you make the two one, and when you make the inside as the outside, and the outside as the inside, and the upper side as the lower; and when you make the male and the female into a single one, that the male be not male and the female female; when you make eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in place of a hand, and a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image, then shall you enter [the kingdom].
So why does the Church teach us we are born sinful when Jesus teaches we are born perfect? Original sin is an Augustine Christian doctrine that says that everyone is born sinful. This means that we are born with the urge to do negative things and to disobey God. It is an important doctrine within the Roman Catholic Church. The Church also teaches that baptism removes original sin which stains all souls since the fall from grace in the Garden of Eden. It appears the Church teaching is contrary to Jesus’ teaching.
The remaining part of the saying is addressing our thoughts, feelings and actions which should be positive, loving and compassionate. Each female has a masculine side and each male has a feminine side. When we understand we are not female or male we have truly found our true selves and have cultivated our Christ Consciousness. It is a true power we all have within each of us. We all have the ability to cultivate and grow our Christ Consciousness as well as our Buddha nature. Both men were telling us what has been lost over the centuries, that we and only we can find that divine spark and be just like them and be one with God.
The Law of One confirmed that belief, that we are all one and even tells us that if we are 51 percent positive in all our thoughts, emotions and actions we will ascend to our next journey, what many call heaven. There was also discussion about Jesus. Jesus was quick to anger and at a young age he killed a young boy by simply touching him. He was so unsettled by this experience, he began a lifetime of seeking and searching. Jesus studied day and night in its own religious constructs, Judaism and was learned enough to be a rabbi at a very young age. Around the age of thirteen he left his family and walked to many other places seeking further information. This went on sporadically until the entity was approximately twenty-five, at which time it returned to its family dwelling, and learned and practiced the art of its earthly father. When Jesus had become able to integrate and synthesize all experiences, he began to teach others of the things of a worthwhile nature. Apparently all his disciples were crucified except John, who is thought to have died in 100 AD of old age.
The Church has distorted Jesus message and teachings and that is why it is important for each to read and decide for themselves the truth. There is truth in the Bible and other sacred texts but one must use discernment, our God given gift and be aware of the methods used to control us. There are other Masters and teachers in the world today that are able to heal and do the same feats as Jesus. We can as well, but we have to believe and reprogram ourselves in our own way. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.
