Daoism Spirituality

It is always interesting to explore different beliefs, philosophies and religions to find commonality.  It seems especially important today with our world turned upside down.

cultivatekindnessyinyang-300x281The Chinese word Tao or Dao is used in an attempt to identify, by name, that nameless Infinite Energy, a Divine Intelligence beyond our understanding. The  energy makes up the physical and metaphysical worlds in all of its manifestations, both known and unknown.  The original conception of Dao was simply the observation that reality has a certain way about it. The Dao or the “Way’ encompasses all of existence. Some may call it God’s will, or an atheist may call it the laws of nature,  labels pointing to the same concept.

The Daoists understood the Dao as the appropriate way for humans to live their lives. But for the Daoists, following the way was participating in the Dao of nature, the changes and rhythms of the universe and the natural world. For Daoists, to neglect the way of nature was the root of society’s misery. They believe if a person follows the “way” or “path” and lives a life of virtue, then the way of nature, heaven, Earth, and humanity will 72127554_1397073520458136_1438555366869696512_nbe balanced.

Followers of Dao is to master what is within each of us and realize the power within. One has to know themselves to gain intuitive understanding and discernment. This basic concept was also taught by JesusBuddha and Krishna. Even though Daoism does not name a tradition by a founding thinker, is it believed that a teacher named Lao Tzu reported to have written the dao de jing  2500 years ago It was considered one of the wisest ancient books, living in unity with nature and the way or Dao. It is also the most translated text into English next to the Bible. It is difficult to interpret because of its poetic, evocative style and its elusive subject. It is a book of mystery and can be translated as the “Classic of the Way and the Virtue.”

The goal is balance yin, our feminine side, and yang, our masculine side.  According to the Chinese, Energetic fields are divided into Yin and Yang. The theory of yin and yang energy represents the duality of balance and harmony within the body as well as the universe. Earth energy is Yin while Heaven energy is Yang.  The video below is an excellent summary providing insight on how to be spiritual from a Daoist perspective

Creating Our Reality

We all feel it and know there is something far greater than ourselves, a divine presents urging us to move forward, to know our true-selves, to explore all the possibilities.

Individually, we can discover our true-selves by releasing the old ways and allowing the divine energy to be our guide. According to the Law of One we all have several guides available. Two of these guides are the polarity of male and female and the third is god-often-moves-in-mysterious-waysandrogynous representing a more unified mental power. The signs are unique to each person. It is important to recognize the polarity, positive and negative entities providing the signs or messages. For those who are seeking the truth, the signs may be more noticeable such as thoughts, emotions, dreams, numerology, music, sensations of the body and nature just to name a few. It is not about recognition of their powers, but a reminder of our divine power. Free will of the individual is paramount, and any guidance may be seen in either the positive or negative polarity depending upon the choice of the individual. The power  is available to all and it starts with realizing the power within.  We are creating  our reality with imagination, visualization and the power of our thoughts, emotions and actions.

Imagine the power of  Meditation.  It has been proven from a scientific perspective, 72127554_1397073520458136_1438555366869696512_ngroup meditation called “Maharishi Effect,” reduces crime.  So much so that Merseyside, England, went from being third highest recorded crime rate to the lowest-ranked city in England during the time of group meditation. Other cities around the world had similar effects when groups of people meditated at the same time each day. In physics that affect is referred to the unified field theory (UFT), waves of vibration flow from everything in the universe affecting the collective consciousness. It should be noted the Maharishi Effect was the only meditation method that was studied. There is no right or wrong way to meditate, only your way.

Whatever method of mediation method used, the late Dr. Valerie V. Hunt, scientist, author, lecturer and Professor Emeritus of Physiological Science at the University of placeboCalifornia confirmed electromagnetic energy is the most plentiful constant energy of our universe. It is a part of all structures living and dead, including the atmosphere. We create electromagnetic energies in the atoms of our living cells, which we enhance by the reaction with the atmospheric energy field. We know this expanded energy field as the human aura. Without this biofield life would not exist and there would be only an inner biochemical mix. Dr. Hunt was involved in research that is uncovering the various dimensions involved in the bioenergetic transactions between humans and the environment as they relate to human behaviors, emotions, health, illness, and disease, as well as scientifically quantifying the human aura and the levels of consciousness it contains.

Consider the possibility of  humanity joining together for a world wide meditation once a week on designated day, at your own time and in your own way ie,  group meditations, your religious affiliation or simply going to your sacred space.   When we allow God’s 95581344_137027724593315_8226649378882846720_nlove and light shine through us, we are allowing divine energy to work  and raise the global consciousness so we will create the change we wish to see in our world. “Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.” Are we the meek? Is it our time to inherit the earth? Or, have we always inherited the earth and just now awakening?

Get in the meditation habit and get in touch with the Divine. Rekindle the wisdom that has been lost through the ages. By just taking 5-20 minutes of meditative prayer, you will learn of the divine presence and be able to generate positives waves of vibration that can change our world. Meditation Warriors  is a group that provides guidance.

We already know in our hearts there is a power within us, but lack of  wisdom or knowledge to understand. Our Ancient teachers provide some insight. According to the Parallel Sayings by Richard Hooper:

“Wisdom and Knowledge find those with a pure heart,” Jesus, Dialogue of the Savior.

“I abide in hearts out of compassion replacing ignorance and darkness with a shining lamp.” Krishna, Bhagavad Gita.

“Choosing the path of wisdom, become aware of those things which lead you forward, and those things which hold you back.” Buddha

“Perfect wisdom comes spontaneously to those who seek it.” Lao Tzu, Chang Tzu

The Power Of Awareness

This is a very powerful video reading from the Power of Awareness by Neville Goddard.  Neville Lancelot Goddard (1905-1972) was a prophet, profoundly influential teacher, and author. . Goddard was sent to illustrate the teachings of psychological truth intended in the Biblical teachings, and restore awareness of meaning to what the ancients intended to tell the world.

This is audiobook read by Brian Scott, a writer, entrepreneur, epiphany addict, inner space astronaut, life coach, and  transformation engineer. Brian tells us that since life is infinite, the concept of an ultimate destiny is inconceivable. When we understand that consciousness is the only reality, we know that it is the only creator. This means that your consciousness is the creator of your destiny. The fact is, you are creating your destiny every moment, whether you know it or not. Much that is good and even wonderful has come into your life without your having any inkling that you were the creator of it.

Self awareness is being aware of your thoughts, emotions and actions moment by moment and understanding the world around you. Realizing we live in the inseparable 79129951_10219260512159354_4070859377123262464_nphysical and metaphysical worlds and the world is not as it seems can be helpful. There is a vibrating constant energetic motion within all things, we can call Universal Intelligence, or God.

According to theLaw of One, the mind must be known to itself and this  is perhaps the most demanding part of self awareness.  If the mind knows itself then the most important aspect of of self awareness has occurred as consciousness is the microcosm of the Oneness.  In other words, the macrocosmic intelligence which guides the birth and processes of the universe is reflected on a microcosmic scale in each individual being.  As energetic beings, we are radiating positive and negative energy by our thoughts, emotions and actions, creating our reality with all its distortions and confusion.  Our goal is to learn and have balance between love and wisdom.

Jesus said in the Gospel of Thomas “When you (plur.) make the two one and make the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside and the above like the below, and that you might make the male and the female be one and the same, so that the male might not be male nor the female be female, when you make eyes in place of an eye and a hand in place of a hand and a foot in place of a foot, an image in place of an image – then you will enter [the kingdom].”

Saying 22 of the Gospel states most vividly and fully the recurrent theme. Jesus sees infants being suckled. He tells his disciples that these infants are like those who enter the kingdom. “Shall we then,” they ask, “as children, enter the kingdom?” This prologue calls to mind, of course, the familiar saying from the canon: “Suffer the little children to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

To know yourself is the same message Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Krishna and many others 76769654_10156516563441566_544743934945918976_ohave been trying to tell us through the centuries. Lao Tzu tells us “Wisdom come from knowing oneself. He who knows himself is enlightened”. In the dialogue of the Savior Jesus said “Those who have truly found the Self within recognized that it exists everywhere.” Buddha added, “Everyone has recognized the self-ones essential nature. But few have realized it.”

We all have the divine gift of discernment, the act or process of exhibiting keen insight and good judgment. In its broadest sense, discernment is closely related to wisdom as an expression of God. Discernment alone can bring about a sense of balance between the worldly and the spiritual.  All things are possible.

As children of the Creator, we release all negativity and chords from ourselves and our planet. Our world is  filled with abundant love,  light and happiness. May our love flow like water, blessing all those that come within. May we remove old patterns that no longer serve us and all those that enter the light may truly see and receive blessings that are abundant for all. May all negative energies that are trying to bring us down be removed, and each thought, emotion and action allow the love and light to flow. We are listening to our  angels to guide us,   and to heal our bodies, mind and spirits, to feel the love and light, happiness and gratitude it deserves. May our  love and light radiate from each of us into the world to create a world of love, light,  wisdom, and Joy.

Our Spiritual Awakening

Spiritual awakening is a continuum, the neverending story. Every human being on earth is sacred and of Infinite worth; all unique in our own way with different paths leading to67639647_1335981933233962_6249562901879717888_n the same destination.

What we do have in common, is the essence of God. It lies within each of us waiting to be awakened. It has many names; divine spark, soul, or spirit to name a few. Our bodies are the temple. Perhaps the COVID-19 is the catalyst for many to begin the awakening process while others continue to enhance their spiritual awakening.

It is interesting to note that Dr. Andrew Newberg, a neuroscientist, has researched the brain function and various mental states. He learned we have spiritual brains, deeply connected to something greater than ourselves. The human brain that engages in prayer and/or meditation results in a powerful spiritual experiences that have been described in every tradition and society.

discernment-of-spirits-nThere are so many different aspects regarding the spiritual and human condition since our beginning. During the years 800–200 BC was one of the most creative and influential eras in history called the Axial Age; the evolution of human thought. Religious and philosophical activity took place in Asia and the Mediterranean. During this time, Jeremiah, Isaiah, The Buddha, Confucius, Vardhamana Mahavira, Pythagoras, Heraclitus, Socrates, Plato and Aristotle, produced the intellectual and moral matrix out of which the world religions were born. Religion developments are based in the ideas, concepts and insights from the Axial period.

And now we jump forward to March 2020, an unprecedented time of the quarantine, 0a9b9a69447b265abd17d51c39eabe50unlike the world has ever seen, based on the COVID-19. Perhaps this is our axial age, time to reflect and realize there is something greater, something more than we could ever imagine where new spiritual traditions emerge. By seeking the truth one will discover the world is not as it seems and the physical and metaphysical worlds are inseparable.

Your awakening may provide signs that are unique to each person. It is important to recognize the polarity of the signs, positive or negative entities providing the message. For those who are seeking the truth, an arduous and difficult journey, the signs may be more noticable. Common signs would be your thoughts, emotions, actions, dreams, signs in nature and numerology. Others may have mystical experiences and psychic abilities they simply do not want to discuss for obvious reasons. There may be an urging to want to know the truth or a array of other experiences unique to each person.

Quotes-About-Planting-Seeds-For-Life-02Perhaps this event is an awakening not only for ourselves, but for humanity. Now may be the time to raise the consciousness of our planet. Imagine 7.7 billion of us, thinking, feeling and feeling love and compassion while helping others around the planet. Love is the greatest and most powerful emotion, being difficult to understand, much less described. We can say it is divine energy radiating in all things. As spiritual beings having a physical experience, our understanding of love is simply from a physical perspective.

To know yourself is the same message our teachers such as Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu, Krishna and many others have been trying to tell us through the centuries. Lao Tzu tells images - 2019-05-19T080936.710us “Wisdom comes from knowing oneself. He who knows himself is enlightened”. In the dialogue of the Savior, Jesus said “Those who have truly found the Self within recognized that it exists everywhere.” and in Luke 17:21, KJV Jesus tells us, “, the kingdom of God is within you.” Buddha added, “Everyone has recognized the self-ones essential nature. But few have realized it.”

We are all spiritual warriors. Spiritual awakening and growth is listening and trusting your higher- self, the warrior, within. There is no better teacher. We all have Christ consciousness and Buddha nature to guide us. All we have to do is pay attention. We all have the gift of discernment or intuition, we just have to learn to trust ourselves.

image01During this time, perhaps it is time reflect how mother earth is healing herself, because of human inactivity. Maybe it is the time for us to heal, to look within ourselves through contemplation, meditation and prayer and discover our true selves and realize the world is not as it seems.

Self Awareness

To know yourself may be the most important aspect of any spiritual journey. Our lives are so connected to families, friends and our jobs, living in the physical world of media, 70444051_498887950951344_4587249759047122944_nreligion, governments, corporations, banks and education. We are living it everyday, all day, week after week, month after month, year after year. Then one day there is a feeling, “is this it”, and a desire to want to “know the truth”. Who are we really, why are we here, where are we going. It becomes a lifetime endeavor of seeking the truth and to know our true-selves.

Self awareness can simply be aware of your thoughts, emotions and actions moment by moment and understanding the world around you. Realizing we live in the inseparable 79129951_10219260512159354_4070859377123262464_nphysical and metaphysical worlds and the world is not as it seems can be helpful. Discernment alone can bring about a sense of balance between the Discernment-510x394worldly and the spiritual.

Each individual is responsible for their own awakening by whatever means they deem appropriate. Spirituality is understanding and loving the One by loving yourself, loving others,  nature and helping others. Meditation, contemplation and prayer, are the gateway to Infinite Intelligence. Being aware of your thoughts, emotions and actions, moment by moment, then analyze your own character, feelings, motives, and desires may be a good start to anyone’s  self awareness.

Heart and mind are of gratitude, appreciation and love for the Oneness of the Creator.  In meditation, choose to channel infinite love which does not fail. The more contact with this infinite love, the more infinite love is manifested, adding to being-ness, which the Creator shall see, bless and amplify.  Be the  love and light.

Defining a Spiritual Person

I would define a spiritual  person as a seeker of truth and using our God given gift of discernment to decipher all the distortion and confusion we all face in our daily lives. It is understanding that we live in inseparable worlds, the metaphysical and the physical, mind and matter, the unseen and seen. A spiritual person develops the gift of 3199b-critical2bthinking2bis2bthe2bsolution2bto2b2522fake2bnews25222bedward2bsnowdendiscernment, our sixth sense to help find their Way.

The Way is referred to as the Way by the World’s great teachers is not one single path, but many paths leading to the same destination. Jesus said “Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

Lao Tzu often refers to Tao as the Way to Heaven. Jesus called the Tao the Kingdom of heaven or the Kingdom of God. Later orthodox Christians misunderstood Jesus’ teachings about the Kingdom. Jesus taught the Kingdom is within us and around us.0327dde18abc5356e1df11a3e9325722

Buddha tells us to practice the Way and to seek truth. Being in harmony with the Way is even better. Lao Tzu explains the Way is complete in itself. All blessings come from it, and holds nothing back to anyone. Krishna said those who find the Way are those who have love and forgiveness in their hearts.

spiritual person is not confined to one religion or belief system, but seek to find their Way using all the tools available today.

The Self

When we use the term, “the self” we are usually referring to our identity, the ego, the face we wear to maintain our illusion of individuality. This includes our subconscious 12043058_897901876964651_8829313765351631143_n.jpgmind and everything our brains produce that make us believe we are separate and apart from everything in the universe. So what is the Self?

Philosophers have pondered that question for centuries. Socrates, believed to be born in 470 BC, maintained that our true self is our soul.   Rene Descartes, born 1596, thought there is one thing of which we can be absolutely certain: “I think, therefore I am.”  William James, born 1842, added that there’s one thing about our conscious experience that we’re never uncertain about; we’re never uncertain whose conscious experience it is. It’s mine, of course. But who is this “me”?  Jean-Paul Sartre, born 1905, believed every individual to be a “being for itself that has a self consciousnesses.

Western philosophers typically try to figure out the theoretical truth, going from there to 68395567_2628362577247376_4371379888091824128_npractical applications. Eastern philosophers tend to speak of truth as something you approach through practice rather than theory. In important ways, Eastern philosophy does not even ask the same question and offers a different answer. Hinduism, Buddhism, meditation, and yoga are alternative approaches. Self to them, refers to what lies within each of us and is what remains when our bodies dies. Self is what we discover when we wake up and is all that exists. Self in Hinduism is called Atman, and the self is Brahman or God. The difference between self and God is our distinction we make ourselves. Remove that distinction and all that remains is God, or universal mind or Tao.

Gnostics, believed to be the first true Christians, referred to Self as the Divine spark, and God as the Divine Light from which the spark emanated. Even Jesus tells us in Luke 17:20–21, the Kingdom is not coming in any way you can observe. The Kingdom of God is68447731_2628372797246354_7655717426310414336_n already here, within your midst.

The word philosophy means “love of wisdom”. It is a love of wisdom that guides all of us to explore the fundamental questions about where did we come from, why are we here and where are we going. The search to understand the self is an individual effort.  We are all philosophers, with our opinions, ideas and concepts. It is interesting to explore what others think and believe, but ultimately, we have to find our own way. With the world at our fingertips, we can explore and discover how different cultures, religions and belief systems are so intertwined.

Our teachers speak of the self. Jesus said in the Dialogue of the Savior, “Those who have truly found the self within recognized that it exists everywhere”.  Buddha tells us  10481390_779094098814404_8884657755310544376_n“Everyone has recognized the Self, one’s essential nature. But few realized it.”  Krishna said “Recognized that all things exist in the One, and you will become the One.” Lao Tzu provided his insight in the Tao Te Ching, Wisdom comes from knowing oneself. He who knows himself is enlightened.”

Consider the self as your divine essence, your soul, your spirit living in a material world.  To know the self, this four step exercise can be performed to produce an acceleration of knowing the self. The first step is the cornerstone.  The moment contains love as we consciously seek that love in our awareness and understanding in everything we do. The second step is to realize the universe is one being. When we see others, family,  friends, strangers, and even enemies, 300px-Loowe see the the Creator.  The third step is Gaze into a mirror, and see the Creator.  Fourth step is Gaze into the world and all of creation and see the Creator. You can build your foundation of these steps by being mindful and  through  meditation, contemplation, and prayer.

I am not I. I am this one walking beside me whom I do not see, whom at times I manage to visit, and whom at other times I forget; who remains calm and silent while I talk, and forgives, gently, when I hate, who walks where I am not, who will remain standing when I die.

Juan Ramón Jiménez, won the Nobel Prize for literature in 1956.

The Way of Divine Energy

The wisdom and insight we can learn from ancient texts is never ending. More than 5000 years ago the ancient Chinese masters of  esoteric healing came to the understanding y2019m06d22_workshop_01that everything is composed of the same energetic substance  called Qi.  They observed the oneness and wholeness in all existence and  everything is energetically interconnected as one body.    The ancient Chinese believed all transformations happened under the influence of Qi.  Birth, aging and death of all things with Heaven and Earth, including wind, water, mountains,  forest, humans,  animals  and insects are caused by and formed out of Qi. Qi is the constant energy motion within all things.

Ancient China’s ISMs Confucianism TaoismOne ancient Chinese text of mystery and beauty is the The Daodejing, believed to be written by the sage Lao Tzu.  It is the most translated text into English next to the Bible.  Daoism is the second of the three major philosophies of China. The Daodejing responds to the political, family centered morality of Confucius;  rejecting man-made hierarchies and arguing the value of simplicity and humility over power and ambition. It can be compared today with Capitalism and Spirituality.  The dao is the way of nature in a universe that consists of opposites in harmony, and de (virtue, integrity) is an innate human strength. Following the dao brings humans freedom, serenity, and longevity.    The original conception of Dao was simply the observation that reality has a certain way about it. The “Way’ encompasses all of existence. Some may call it the way to God, images (67)lao an atheist may call it the laws of nature, all pointing to the same thing, something I call Infinite Intelligence.

The Dao can be considered  as two-fold, one represented by the law of physics describing the universe and it’s manifestations such as energy and light; and at the personal level describing the human sphere and its manifestation such as our thoughts, emotions and actions. The  Daodejing  or Tao Te Ching was trying to tell us these principles. If we can understand these forces are inseparable, the physical and metaphysical, it will make our spiritual journey richer and more fruitful.

If one looks for Dao, there is nothing solid to see; If one listens for it, there is nothing loud enough to hear. Yet if one uses it, it is inexhaustible.

Consider the Dao as Infinite Intelligence, pure Universal Energy of divine mystery and the sage Lao Tzu a divine messenger of the 5th century BCE.  Lao Tzu, Buddha, Krishna images (67)and Jesus were divine messengers providing the way for all to see.  Lao Tzu tells us the “Act in harmony with the Way and you will become the Way.  Nurture the way within yourself and you will live a virtuous life.”   Buddha said ” Those that follow the way are like dry grass. They need to be protected from the flames of desire.”  While Krishna tells us ” Let those who are wise seek the Way. Those who find it will not return. ” The apocalypse Jesus tells us to “Open the door to the Way that is within you, so that you may be a guide to those who wish to follow you. Encourage all those who are ready to follow the Way and receive its blessings.”

The Daoists understood Dao as the appropriate way for humans to live their lives. But for the Daoists, following the way was participating in the Dao of nature, the changes and rhythms of the universe and the natural world.  To neglect the way of nature was the root of society’s misery. They believe if a person follows the “Way” or “path” and lives a images (5)life of virtue, then the way of nature, heaven, Earth, and humanity will be balanced.

There is a strong element of mysticism by losing one’s sense as a separate, individual self while perceiving a much greater reality. This mystical sense is both encouraged by and expressed through particular practices and ways of being in the Daodejing.  One of the most important practices involves diminishing the ego;  such as the cravings for attention, recognition, and control. True sages were not interested in the material world  but for the welfare of 66cfa3a8df5d499550338f2a824ee448--lao-tzu-quotes-zen-quotesothers. “Sages blend into the world,” says the Daodejing. To blend into the world, one lives a simple existence.

A simple existence is the understanding  Qi is the Catalyst for everything.    The ancient Chinese believed that the Qi of Yin and Yang fulfils the “Great Void” (Wuji) enveloping all things and leaving nothing outside its boundary.

“Dao is forever and he that possess it, Though his body ceases, is not destroyed.”

The goal is balance yin, our feminine side, and yang, our masculine side and make into one. According to the Chinese, energetic fields are divided into Yin and Yang. The theory of yin and yang energy represents the duality of balance and harmony within the body as well as the universe. Earth energy is Yin while Heaven energy is Yang. Those who master and balance the bodies Yin-Yang energy were considered “Tian Shen” or Xian meaning “immortals”.

yin-yang-positive-negative-masculine-feminine-passive-active-logical-intuitive-20322306The different sacred texts from different cultures of the world have essentially the same message. For example balancing yin and yang, the feminine and masculine, and the  114th saying of Jesus in the Gospel of Thomas. Simon Peter said to him, “Let Mary leave us, for women are not worthy of life.”  Jesus said, “I myself shall lead her in order to make her male, so that she too may become a living spirit resembling you males. For every woman who will make herself male will enter the kingdom of heaven.

The Valley Spirit never dies.
It is named the Mysterious Female.
And the doorway of the Mysterious Female
Is the base from which Heaven and Earth sprang.
It is there within us all the while;
Draw upon it as you will, it never runs dry.

In my humble opinion,  woman and man are equal and the more we work together in the name of love, compassion and service to others, we can create the world where every human can learn and discover their true hqdefault (1)selves.  The sage Laozi said about the self, “ Some people recognize the self and are amazed. Other people who hear of the Self just wonder. Still others do not understand at all.” He also speaks of love when he said “ The world is transformed by those who love all people, just as you love yourself”.

It starts with us!!!!!

In 1972, excavation in the Mawangdui Han Dynasty tombs in Hunan Province uncovered a silk relic that portrayed drawing of Do yin postures dating prior to the third century BCE. This silk scroll is consider the first complete set of Qigong movement with over half of these illustrates posture are of animal movements used to purge the body’s channels to regulate the Yin and Yang and treat illnesses.

Connection to Our Source

Connection to our source means a lifelong journey of seeking the truth and blind-leading-the-blinddiscovering who we are.  Many go to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places of worship to seek the truth. The realization is all religions have some truth, but no religion  has all the truth.  If blindly followed, religion will simply put you in a box;  providing their teachings, belief systems and rituals.  Religion may contain hidden truths,  a higher truth that can be used as stepping stones for our spiritual journey .   Perhaps that is why people are leaving religion, because they want to know the truth, they want to know God.

give-yourself-permission-to-walk-away-from-anything-that-gives-2353180Being controlled by a particular belief system or religion appears to be negative energy. “Thou shall not” found in the 10 commandments in the Book of Exodus is dictating what we should or should not do.   If humanity is inherently good, why do we have to be told not to kill or steal, doesn’t that take away our free will?  There are even questions where did the Old Testament originated? We’ve all heard of the flood story in Genesis 6-8 and scholars believe that story was taken from  the Gilgamesh Epic, the great literary classic of ancient Mesopotamia.  There are many contradictions and questions regarding the content of the  Old Testament, much like the New Testament.

English translations of the bible began in the Middle ages and there were two efforts  where the Church insisted only using their translations.

John Wycliffe, 1320-1384, translated the Bible into english but the Church condemned him for this action and ordered his books be burned.

William Tyndale, 1484-1536, also translated the Bible into english. He was particularly disturbed by the fact that the common man was unable to read the Bible for himself.   He was also condemned as a heretic, both by the Catholic Church and the newly established Church of England. Tyndale was forced to leave England for Germany, but eventually authorities caught up with him and he was burned at the stake in Belgium.

Our connection to God,  the source, divine matrix or Infinite Intelligence, and many 0a9b9a69447b265abd17d51c39eabe50other descriptive names,  is something most strive to understand and define.  Personally, God is pure divine energy,  love being the dominant source of vibration.  The vibration that we are here to learn and balance with wisdom. Each of us are a spark of pure divine energy.  As we learn how our thoughts, emotions and actions are part of our grand spiritual evolution, we are creating the world around us.  Within each of us, exist a higher power waiting to be awakened.  We all have the divine gift of discernment,  the act or process of exhibiting keen insight and good judgment.  In its broadest sense, discernment is closely related to wisdom as an expression of God. Discernment alone can bring about a sense of balance between the worldly and the spiritual.

If only the world lived by one simple message our teachers were trying to tell us, we divine-love-quotes-8-17-best-images-about-love-on-pinterestcould change our world. Jesus told us to  “Love your neighbor as yourself.” The Buddha said, ” the only way you can become free is to love those who hate you”.  Krishna said, “to me, all beings are the same. I hate none, and no one is more dear to me than another,  and The Taoist Sage Lao Tzu said, “Nothing but good comes to him who loves others as he loves himself”. By honoring and respecting others’ beliefs and religions,  not only will it bring us closer together, but closer to our Creator.

With each new day, you can be the light of the world. Look within and know you are that divine spark waiting to be awakened.  Realize you have God given gifts and can learn to master them.  Above all,  6bbbfcbd9acce4ee927fffa96fae17ccbelieve in yourself and your relationship with God through meditation, contemplation, prayer and being mindful during the day.  Connecting and understanding ourselves and the Divine is a lifelong process with many obstacles. With love and compassion, believe in yourself and your ability to know and learn the truth.

Death and the After life

Death and the after-life is something we will all face eventually.   Our limited understanding is guided by oursivananda-33019 belief system;   what we subconsciously learned and consciously taught.  It is the school of life, with countless confusion and distortions with so many belief systems and religions.   It may be as simple as to what you believe will be your reality.

Death is the release of our life force in order to continue our spirit journey.  The ancient chinese described qi as “life force”,  Hindu called it  prana, Christians and Jews refer to it as the soul and the Muslims call it Rūḥ, our immortal self. Gnostics called it the divine spark;   spirit, essense and the list goes on.

Our life force is who we are, energy within our bodies, feeling all the aches and pains as we age, physically and emotionally.  We are trying to understand our purpose.  We learn and practice tai chi, chi gong, yoga, walk, jog and meditate to cultivate our life force just to face the daily challenges and BxGKxMSIIAA6IXMchoices. We look around and wonder if this it, why are we here!  Based on the Law of One our purpose is to learn the ways of love with wisdom, and each of us have our own special lessons to learn.  At the end of our life we have a “life review”. If you attained 51 percent positive, you will leave 3rd density and advance to the the 4th density. Seven densities , realms, dimensions or heavens are terms used in religious and mythology ancient texts.

If you do not make the 51 percent positive then you will have to redo 3rd density.  Your reincarnation   can be anywhere in the universe.   Even  Emanuel Swedenborg, the  eighteenth-century mystic and spiritual explorer, spoke of the purpose of death.  He inspired some the world’s greatest minds and souls like Helen Keller, D.T. Suzuki, and Ralph Waldo Emerson,to name a few.

Law of One also provides insight on death which states, ” the process of the physical 1309-choose-to-see-death-spiritual-quotes-to-live-bydeath is as we have described before: one in which there is aid available and the only need at death is the releasing of that entity from its body by those around it and the praising of the process by those who grieve. By these means may the mind/body/spirit which has experienced physical death be aided, not by the various perceptions of careful and repeated rituals.”

Near Death experiences  (NDE)  also provides insight and some sort of understanding of the afterlife.   People that have experienced NDE sometimes describe a floating maxresdefault (6)sense of freedom from pain and of complete wellbeing;  or they had unusual abilities, such as being able to see walls and also see through them, and being able to “hear” the unspoken thoughts of the people nearby;  They sometime say they experienced a “life review” while at the same time, they re-viewed, and experienced being on the receiving end of, all their actions throughout life; Some went beyond the light, seeing cities of light and knowledge. When they chose to return, it was because of a love connection with one or more living people. The other half say they didn’t choose to return: They either were told or made to return, or they were just suddenly “back” in their bodies.

Physical death releases our life force; our final escape from this realm.   It is  interesting to 16cc381c8b27c7abd1b7cbf79c39a86cnote how emotions around us  affect even the death process. Our thoughts, emotions and actions create our reality not only in this world but also the next. Many seek gnosis,  the knowledge of spiritual mysteries,  to better understand our situation. Esoteric knowledge of spiritual truth was held by the ancient Jews, Christians and Greeks.  They believed it was  essential to salvation.

What stands out for me to be essential is the emotion of love, the emotion that conquers all things.  Also our intentions regarding our thoughts, emotions and actions.  If we fear death, a negative emotion, then death may be exactly that.  That is why we are here to learn about love and the wisdom to use it.

Our ancient teachers had much wisdom to say about death and immorality.

Jesus said in the Apocryphon of John, “I am returning to the place for which I came, If you wish to follow me, you may. But you will not enter the Kingdom until you have perfected yourselves.”
Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita, ” When the self leaves the body it will go whatever the attention is focused on the time of death. Therefore remember me at all times. When your mind absorbed in Me you will come to Me”
Lao Tzu said in the Tao Te Ching, ” Those who are not attached to life will not fear death. They are more fortunate than those who give life too much meaning. “
“One who has lived wisely does not fear death.”  The Buddha
