Why have we forgotten our our true Nature?

Have we forgotten our true nature? Perhaps one reason is we have been programmed since birth. Our education, media, political and religious systems play an integral part of who we are and who we become. It is a worldwide system of control to keep us occupied, and has become what we believe is normal.050d84f574c93d469053b6c7332e6895a8e0ba-wm

Today, our world is in a confused and distorted state. Many begin to seek the truth, seeking  answers to the age old questions of our identity. Most find this task difficult because society requires most to work at jobs 8 hours a day to pay for food, shelter and take care of families. We are constantly bombarded with corporate messaging creating fear. It becomes a confusing, distorted and arduous journey with many different paths, making it difficult to wake up spiritually and even more difficult  to follow a spiritual path.

From a very young age we are programmed by our parents who were programed by their parents, and the vicious and seemly unbreakable cycle goes on and on.  We go to schools, churches, cff285a056c19538eb9d01c42865898csynagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places where we are told how and what to think and how to believe and know God. Then we follow blindly for the rest of our lives, never seeking the truth about our true selves.

Who controls these systems and why do they want control? Perhaps it is to keep us from knowing our true nature, knowing our true self .  Each of us have a higher power within, a divine light waiting to be awakened. We are all spiritual beings with a body and mind b0979c556c4ca95796ea254343c2464fmade of pure energy. Our thoughts create our reality through emotions and actions . Fear, control, greed, are just some negative emotions while love and helping others are some of the positive.  We only think what we have been taught, and we are what we think!

Humanity has been in a deep sleep since our beginning and in order to begin the spiritual journey, one needs to wake up and ask the age old question, “Who am I”, why am I here” and “where am I going”.

In ancient times, there was a mystical poem about us called The Hymn of the Pearl. It may be one of the most foretelling Gnostic scriptures telling us of our true nature.  The PS102hymn is commonly interpreted as Gnostic view of the human condition; we are spirits lost in a world of matter and forgetful of our true origin. This state of affairs could change by a revelatory message delivered by a divine messenger. Perhaps the Law of One is that divine messenger.

Scott Mandelker, PHD, teacher and scholar said the Law of One material is “One of the most important spiritual documents since Jesus”.

angelIt started in 1981, when three members of the L/L research, Don Elkins, a former Physics Professor and Airline pilot, Carla Rueckert, a devote Christian , and James McCarty, the sole survivor today, received a narrow band transmission from a Social memory complex named Ra. Ra stated,

“ We have watched your group. We have been called to your group, for you have a need for the diversity of experiences in channeling which go with a more intensive, or as you might call it, advanced approach to the system of studying the patterns of the illusions of your body, your mind, and  your spiritwhich you call seeking the truth. We hope to offer you a somewhat different slant upon the information which is always and ever the same.”

Many say it is a hoax but the complexity of the responses, which are so masterfully and skillfully crafted that no human could possibly have the knowledge or ability to create the responses. Others may say it is from the devil or satan.  But in 1 John 4:1 of the New Testament says “Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see 2bd62658ab714eee2e561a6315770208--love-and-light-quotes-imageswhether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

The sessions open with, “I am Ra. I greet you in the love and the light of our Infinite Creator” and closes with, “I am Ra. I leave you in the glory and the peace of the One Creator. Rejoice in the love/light, and go forth in the power of the One Creator. In joy, we leave you. Adonai.

We have free-will to determine for ourselves if  the Law of One is the revelatory message delivered by a divine messenger.  The contact lasted from January 1981 to March 15, 1984 and was recorded and documented. The transcript contains over 2360 questions and answers in 106 sessions with a scientific and metaphysical vocabulary with a searchable database available free to all.

everything-800x737 (1)For me the Law of One provides insight on something else that occurred  38 years earlier, when thirteen ancient books, called “codices,” containing over fifty texts, was discovered in upper Egypt in 1945. Known as the Nag Hammadi Scriptures, scriptures such as the Gospel of Thomas, 114 secret sayings of Jesus,  and the Gospel of Truth  and many more thought to be destroyed by early Christianity. The texts were translated in the 1970’s and are available today.  I have been studying the Gospel of Thomas for years and it was difficult to understand until I began studying the Law of One. It helped with the interpretation of the 114 secret teachings of Jesus and other sacred text, including the Bible.  It simply provides a different and refreshing new perspective on what we have been taught. Of course today, 2000 years later, many refuse to believe they may hold any value because they were not canonized by the Catholic Church, and actually labeling them heresy.  But interestingly Father Francis Tiso, a very controversial Priest, talks about our divine spark in this video.

We have the world at our fingertips to explore new and exciting ways to discover, connect The_Ra_Material_-_The_Law_of_One_-_Quote_-_Spirituality_Metaphysics_Spiritual_Heart_Chakras_Love_Compassion_86and love our Creator.  It all starts by looking within and loving others as you love yourself, love all of nature, and service to others. Realize your thoughts, emotions and actions allow you to become more aware of your true nature. Meditation, contemplation and prayer are the gateway to understanding the higher self; connecting with Infinite Intelligence, our true nature.

Jesus Hidden Sayings 28-32

The Gospel of Thomas, 114 sayings of Jesus, was believed by different scholars to have been written anywhere from 40 CE to 140 CE.  Its theological perspective is markedly different from the biblical gospels in that the resurrection of Jesus plays no part in it, and it ScissioniENemphasizes a mystical understanding of Jesus’ teachings, rather than the sacraments of baptism and the Eucharist.  During this time, there was a wide range of theoretical beliefs in “early christianity”, but it was so diverse in its beliefs,  it would be better served to be called as “early christianities”.  Early believers of Jesus held a wide view of beliefs. Some believed there were two or more gods, others insisted the world was created by  an evil deity,  while others argued that Jesus was not really human or not really divine;  many maintained that Jesus was not really divine; some maintained that Jesus death had nothing to do with salvation and others claimed that he  never actually died.

By the mid-2nd century the struggle for Christianity’s self-definition continued involving a battle between two differences.  On one side  were those seeking a Dah9drOXUAAiY56fundamentally exoteric understanding of the religion, defined in terms of a closed canon of Scripture, a creed, and institutional authority. On the other side were those
categorized or labeled as Gnostics, later called heretics;  understanding Jesus and his message in terms of a saving knowledge or gnosis, through meditation and enlightened teachers, mythical narratives, and spiritual advancement.

A heretic is a person who differs in opinion from established religious dogma

Orthodox  means  conforming to what is generally or traditionally accepted as right or true.

The Gospel of Thomas can be understood mystically such as saying 28.  Jesus said, “I took my place in the midst of the world, and I appeared to them in flesh. I found all of them intoxicated; I found none of them thirsty. And my soul became afflicted for the sons of 20-of-the-funniest-photos-of-drunk-peoplemen, because they are blind in their hearts and do not have sight; for empty they came into the world, and empty too they seek to leave the world. But for the moment they are intoxicated. When they shake off their wine, then they will repent.”

Jesus may be saying he appeared in this world as human and the center of attention. But he found  people asleep, blind and none were thirsty for the truth.  The spiritual state of humanity, according to numerous gnostic texts, is stupefied with passion and drunkenness, blind to any spiritual understanding.  Humanity  came empty with their awareness and understanding of their consciousness, and who they really are. They can be saved if they seek the truth and and discover their true selves. Parallel sayings can be found in Luke 21:34-36 and John 1:14 and drunkenness is likened to ignorance of God in 1 Corinthians 15:34.

DNA(29) Jesus said, “If the flesh came into being because of spirit, it is a wonder. But if spirit came into being because of the body, it is a wonder of wonders. Indeed, I am amazed at how this great wealth has made its home in this poverty.”

Perhaps Jesus meant it is very difficult for us to let go of  the negative and destructive nature of the physical and material world and realize our  true selves. Most of us do not realize the power within and simply disregard because of the material world. Perhaps because of our programing,  it is difficult to understand our true nature and believe the material world is the real world.   We all have a body,  mind and spirit and according to the Gnostics we are divine sparks trapped in the body.  Similar sayings can be found in  Rom 8:1-8 and  Gal 5:16-26.66718af744cb687d02811dec8d6d8168

In saying (30) Jesus said, “Where there are three gods, they are gods. Where there are two or one, I am with him.”

This is a complex saying with a similar saying found in  Matthew 18:20.  Consider that when three people are discussing the ways of the world, each believe they are right, leaving no room to discuss the true meaning of life because no one is listening. When there is only one or two, the heart is more open and accepting of Christ consciousness within each of us.

In saying (31) Jesus said, “No prophet is accepted in his own village; no physician heals those who know him.”

031_blind_600_ic (1)Two metaphors that are seen in everyday life.  When we know someone, grow up with them as a child, watched their  actions and perhaps indiscretions in immaturity,  we normally will not put any credence in them as a prophet or physician. Only someone to whom we do not know and is a  a mystery can we really believe they know what they are doing much like the blind leading the blind.  We tend to look at what we identify as wisdom; successful people with money and the benchmark. Similar sayings can be found in  Luke 4:16-30, Matt 13:53-58John 4:43-45, and  Mark 6:1-6.

(32) Jesus said, “A city being built on a high mountain and fortified cannot fall, nor can it a3189ffa67ba5e64abc0efd139a580cabe hidden.”

Enlightened ones tell us of the ways of the world such as Jesus, Buddha, Lao Tzu Kristina. Many more have left behind a treasure of wisdom to inform us of the physical and metaphysical world. Today the wisdom is available for anyone and cannot be hidden.   A parallel saying can be found in Matt 5:14-16.

The four Gospels, Mark, Matthew, Luke and John were anonymously written and only later did Christians claim that they have been produced by the apostles.  The Gospel of Mark probably dates from  66–70 CE, Matthew and Luke around 85–90 CE , and John 90–110 CE.  Like the rest of the New Testament, they were written in Greek.  One should consider that many of Gospels may have been taken from the Gospel of Thomas to create the New Testament and the church’s story of Jesus.

What is God?

What is God,  the age-old question and it certainly has been mine.  Since the beginning of time,  as we understand it, man has struggled with the God concept. Most of us have chemistryour core beliefs from our childhood;  others seek to understand through contemplation, reflection, meditation and prayer; all have a  desire to have  a personal relationship with God.

God is  known by many names and according to religions of the world, in order to know God,  we should follow their beliefs, rules and rituals.  Based on my childhood and how I was taught about the Bible, God would be on a throne judging us for our behavior and our purpose was to worship God.  Each of us have our own imaginations and beliefs about God, mostly from our childhood.

Through the centuries, different religions with  different Gods making our 10635869_10152764748543781_2989172388846140521_nunderstanding of  God even more confusing.  I always believed there was only one God, just called by many different names.  Furthermore, in Judaism and Christianity alone,  there is much confusion for me.  Yahweh, is the God of the Old testament and Jewish Tanakh, is known as the God of the Israelites.  The name was revealed to Moses as four Hebrew consonants (YHWH) called the Tetragrammaton.   Consistent with Old Testament narratives,  Yahweh or Jehovah was regarded as the stern creator God who justly punishes humanity for disobedience.

The Gnostics referenced Yaldabaoth, the old testament god as a  ‘false god of this world’ and was known for his evil  deeds.  They believed the god of the Jews was the true devil who claimed for himself the title of ‘creator god’ and inverted the roles of good and evil through deception, presenting himself as the ‘benevolent father’ of mankind and slandering the Chakra symbolSerpent of wisdom as ‘the devil’ and ‘enemy of man’. This accusatory inversion began with the creation of the Christian Bible at the end of the 1st century and has deceive many generations throughout the millennia.  It should be noted our medical  community uses a staff medical imaginesor rod with a snake curled around it, call the Rod of Asclepius, the ancient mythical god of medicine .

In the Law of One, Yahweh is mentioned 19 times  and provides quite an  in-depth detail about Yahweh’s involvement on earth. The Orion Group, the negative entities of our universe also plays a role in what happened in the old testament as well as today. Perhaps In Genesis 1:26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness”  Was that God,  Yahweh or Yaldabaoth?   Who was Jesus talking about when the Jews said  Abraham was their father.   Jesus said in John 8:44   “You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father’s desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father The-Ra-Material-The-Law-of-One-quote-love-service-to-others-heart-chakra-spirituality-consciousness-3of lies.”

Some Gnostic groups saw Jesus as being sent by the supreme being, to bring gnosis or knowledge to the Earth. The Law of One referenced Jesus  22 times  and said  “This entity was desirous of entering this planetary sphere in order to share the love vibration in as pure a manner as possible.”

Now let’s look at the New testament and how the church leaders constructed the concept of God. The Trinity  a formal doctrine and foundation of the Christian faith, the father, Jesus and the Holy Ghost, meaning one God in three.   The term trinity is not found in the Bible. The only reference of the three in the bible is  Matthew 28:19 after Jesus resurrection.  “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Of course we all know how easily this could have been added by a church father or scribe.

The formal doctrine of the Trinity was the result of early church fathers attempts to explain the Christian God. It was first used by Tertullian at the close of the 2nd century. It was discussed, debated and finally clarified as divinity of the spirit and  affirmed at the Council of Constantinople  in 381.  However scholars today  generally agree that there is no doctrine of the Trinity as such in either the Old or New Testaments.  The Trinity was a way church fathers could cff285a056c19538eb9d01c42865898cexplain Jesus as the son of God if not God. A search of the Nag Hammadi Library  of the Father, son and the holy spirit did not come up with any results.  With the possibility of the corruption of the message of  two major religions, perhaps it is time to pause,  and seek the truth in our own way.  Jesus was the messenger of love and in the message he was telling us what the church fathers have failed to teach.

In John 10:34, Jesus tells the Pharisees that it is written in the Law that “you are gods”. He is quoting from Psalm 82:6 where it says, “I said you are gods, sons of the Most High. All of you.”

In John 14:12  Jesus said , “Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”

bring forth what is in youIn the Gospel of Thomas Jesus said in saying 3,   If your leaders tell you, “Look, the kingdom is in heaven,” then the birds of heaven will precede you. If they say to you, “It’s in the sea,”  then the fish will precede you.  But the kingdom is inside you and it is outside you. When you know yourselves,  then you will be known, and you will understand that you are children of the living father. But if you do not know yourselves,
then you dwell in poverty and you are poverty.

The Gnostics believe that within each of us is a divine spark, a part of God.  Some may  call it soul or spirit.  Regardless of what label man uses, God is a Divine Universal Energy within each of us waiting to be awakened by our acknowledgement  by seeking the truth.

According to the Law of One , we are on earth to learn the ways of love, compassion, wisdom and be of service to others. We get as many opportunities as we need to learn the required lessons. If not, we die and do it again until we get it right. The big problem for us when we do it again, we do not remember anything from our previous lives, unless you’re a child,   and then you may remember for a short period before Lao-Tzu-3.jpgforgetfulness sets in.

Regardless of the number of past lives, God, or the Great Universal Energy never leaves and is just waiting for us to discover the power within. I cannot emphasise the importance of the  a recent discovery in 1945, 114 secret sayings of Jesus known as the Gospel of Thomas and 50 other Gnostic texts.  According to scholars, the discovery provided striking differences from orthodox beliefs. Instead of being separate from God, we are One with God. Instead of sin and repentance, Jesus speaks of illusion and enlightenment. And finally, Instead of Jesus being Lord and God, we are all from the same source, and Jesus is our spiritual guide.

Another saying of Jesus,  “I shall give you what no eye has seen and what no ear has heard and what no hand has touched and what has never occurred to the human mind.” (Saying 17 Gospel of Thomas). This saying is for each of us to ponder and consider as each of Jesus wisdom sayings in the Gospel of Thomas.

Buddha, another master teacher said before you set foot on the path master yourself; DfEgwEEWkAAQ2jIand Lao Tzu said, ” The Way (God) is complete in itself. All blessings come from it and it holds nothing back from anyone.” Krishna said in the Bhagavad Gita, “Those who seek to find the One without ceasing, will find the Lord dwelling in their own hearts.”

With love and compassion in your  heart,  thoughts, emotions and actions, look within; through meditation, contemplation, prayer and study, you will find that Great Universal Energy that we call God.

“The heart is like a garden. It can grow compassion or fear, resentment or love. What seeds will you plant there?”

Jesus Secret Sayings, 9-16

In the last posting we discussed how the Christian Gnostics had some of the same spiritual concepts as Buddha, Lao Tzu and Kristna. You also may be surprised  how closely related Jesus’  teachings are to the eastern mystics traditions. The traditionsb2f79f613c6c6aaa3912be59c692ca8d are a spiritual way of life that includes developing respect, trust, and love for all and discovering our full potential as true human beings.  All spiritual concepts ask us to look within ourselves to find answers. The answers are in plain site, as  Jesus tells us in various parables.   “Recognize what is in your sight, and that which is hidden from you will become plain to you . For there is nothing hidden which will not become manifest.” (Saying 5)

Perhaps it is time to listen to our higher self.   We all have deep seeded belief systems, affecting our understanding of not only Jesus’ parables and metaphors, but our understanding of God. Many have been engrained with orthodox Christians sources. Today we have the world at our fingertips to help us understand  Jesus true teaching to help us find our way back home.   The Gospel of Thomas provides new insight into the true teachings of Jesus. This 12 minute video provides an overview of the Gospel of Thomas.

Last time we discussed verses 1 through 8, Jesus’ message was to seek the truth, look within ourselves to find the kingdom. Many believed Jesus died for our sins.  Perhaps one should consider he died so we could see the light and to follow his message and be like him; pure love and light. This is up to each one of us to contemplate and decide for ourselves.  Now let’s discuss verses 9 through 16.

seed-sprouting(9) Jesus said, “Now the sower went out, took a handful (of seeds), and scattered them. Some fell on the road; the birds came and gathered them up. Others fell on the rock, they did not take root in the soil, and did not produce ears. And others fell on thorns; they choked the seed(s) and worms ate them. And others fell on the good soil and it produced good fruit: it bore sixty per measure and a hundred and twenty per measure.”

There are comparable sayings in Matthew 13:3-9, Mark 4:2-9 ,  Luke 8: 4-8  and Luke 8:13 .  Each time the author has added their interpretation of the seed parable as found in the Gospel of Thomas.  Similar stories are also found in the Sirach 6:19.

Meditation-quotes-Paramahamsa-YoganandaThe seed parable describes  the divine seed God planted within each of us. In order to grow, one should find their way by seeking the truth, being caution of the pitfalls of life and false teachings that produce no fruit.    Those who discover the truth, will begin to sprout and grow.  The more you cultivate the divine seed with a fertile foundation,  the more abundant your  love and light grows. The illuminating light and love affects those around you, doubling in measure.

Jesus said, ” The truth will set you free.”

(10) Jesus said, “I have cast fire upon the world, and see, I am guarding it until it blazes.”

In a similar parable,  Verse (16),  Jesus said, “Men think, perhaps, that it is peace which I have come to cast upon the world. They do not know that it is dissension which I have 20251920-put-the-world-on-firecome to cast upon the earth: fire, sword, and war. For there will be five in a house: three will be against two, and two against three, the father against the son, and the son against the father. And they will stand solitary.  Comparable sayings in  Luke 12:49  , and Matthew 10:34-36,

Most would agree  Jesus message has cast fire on the world.  He is  known throughout the world as either a spiritual leader, messiah, divine prophet,  Jewish preacher, religious leader, son of man, son of God and even God. Was Jesus’ message  love and enlightenment or  sin and repentance as the Orthodox view  teaches? That difference has divided many,  including religions and families.  We have been indoctrinated since birth with the orthodox view.  The  Muslims and Christians seem to stay in conflict,  both believe in Jesus but in different roles.  All  those in conflict believe they are right.  In the end,  each will stand alone.

(11) Jesus said, “This heaven will pass away, and the one above it will pass away. The dead are not alive, and the living will not die. In the days when you consumed what is download (30)dead, you made it what is alive. When you come to dwell in the light, what will you do? On the day when you were one you became two. But when you become two, what will you  do?”

Comparable saying Matthew 24:35  Mark 13:31 Luke 21:33 Matthew 5:18 and  Luke 16:17.

All of reality as we realize it, is an illusion and will pass.  Even the illusion of birth and death will be realized as such. Everything is in flux, ever changing to a higher state of reincarnation (1)consciousness.  We pass through periods of incarnation, eventually returning to the spirit world of light. To learn our lessons we must  become two to be able to come into this world of illusion, with all the confusion and distortions. When we consume what is dead, we make alive. We are all here to learn our lessons plus the ways of love and wisdom  and must return to the positive polarity to return  to the One. We are here now as two, so what will you do in this material world to return to the one.

(12) The disciples said to Jesus, “We know that you will depart from us. Who is to be our leader?”
Jesus said to them, “Wherever you are, you are to go to James the righteous, for whose sake heaven and earth came into being.”  Comparable saying can be found in  Luke 9:46-48Luke 22:24-27Matt 18:1-4, and  Mark 9:33-35.  It is interesting to note,  Jesus mentions no names in those parables.

James was the brother of Jesus, and the leader of the Church in Jerusalem until his death godsaystrustmein 62 CE. There are five books of James in the New testament. Also discovered later was  The Secret Book of James and The Apocryphon of James. James did not drink wine or eat meat or cut his hair.  He was found kneeling and praying to the point his knees were like a camels because he was alway kneeling. He was an extraordinary character and righteous.  In the Secret Book of James, he presents himself as the person who sends the other followers of Jesus on their missions. Today, Christianity has followed more of Paul’s teaching, Many biblical scholars and lay Christians have noted that Jesus preached almost exclusively about the kingdom of heaven, while Paul highlighted justification by faith—and not vice versa. Some conclude that they preached two different gospels. Others argue that really they both preached justification; still others say it’s all about the kingdom.  The true teacher is within each of us, our higher selves.

(13) Jesus said to his disciples, “Compare me to someone and tell me whom I am like.”
Simon Peter said to him, “You are like a righteous angel.”
Matthew said to him, “You are like a wise philosopher.”
Thomas said to him, “Master, my mouth is wholly incapable of saying whom you are download unitedlike.”

Jesus said, “I am not your master. Because you have drunk, you have become intoxicated from the bubbling spring which I have measured out.”
And he took him and withdrew and told him three things. When Thomas returned to his companions, they asked him, “What did Jesus say to you?”
Thomas said to them, “If I tell you one of the things which he told me, you will pick up stones and throw them at me; a fire will come out of the stones and burn you up.”

Comparable sayings can be found in Matthew 16:13-23, Mark 8:27-33 and Luke 9:18-22.

Consider after each answer, Jesus responded by telling them he was not their master and that they were drunken by his presence and their perceived idea of who he was. They looked upon Jesus as a being unlike themselves. When believing Jesus was more than he was, they were unable to see themselves as equals. When Jesus took Thomas aside, he said three things or words which could have been along the lines of,’ “We are equal.” “We are the from the light” or “we are all sons of God”. That would justify Thomas’ response to the others when asked what was said.

(14) Jesus said to them, “If you fast, you will give rise to sin for yourselves; and if you pray, you will be condemned; and if you give alms, you will do harm to your spirits. connect to your higher selfWhen you go into any land and walk about in the districts, if they receive you, eat what they will set before you, and heal the sick among them. For what goes into your mouth will not defile you, but that which issues from your mouth – it is that which will defile you.” Comparable says are  Luke 11:1-4, Luke 9:1-6, Luke 10:1-12,   and Matt 6:2-18,

This one is probably more difficult than most because of the ways we have been taught since birth. Consider we all have a higher self, a divine spark within; a divinity from God. We are suppose to allow our higher self guide us because we have all the answers within. Like overindulgence with food, fastingimages (91) for too long also harms the body. We have the ability to heal when we seek the truth and  look within ourselves as Jesus said in saying 2 and 3. What we eat will not defile us but what comes out of our mouth will.

(15) Jesus said, “When you see one who was not born of woman, prostrate yourselves on your faces and worship him. That one is your father.  Comparable saying is John 10:30

big_thumbNot born of a woman is our father. Again, Jesus is telling us we are all equal with Jesus.  When we worship other humans, there is division instead of uniting and finding our way home.  We are all divine beings of infinite worth and we are here to learn our lessons specific to us, and the ways of love and wisdom.

Each parable has many answers and within your own reflection you will find a greater answer than anyone else could give you.  Perhaps we should consider the Gospel of Thomas was used by the others to write the Books of the New testament. Next month we review the next group of the 114 secret sayings of Jesus.

Do You Remember the Light?

Remember a time long ago, when we were children. As we were being born we were probably asking ourselves, “do I really want to do this?”  I have a 935350_10151618620533781_1528067472_ndear friend with a PhD in Linguistics,  who told me about his birth. He was very serious , remembers the day he was born,  recalling he did not want to come out.  He resisted but he was pushed out against his will.   We talk and laugh about that moment often.

According to the Law of One,  we actually had a choice to come here, even pick our parents and our condition. We came here to learn,   and by design,  we simply do not remember.   One thing for certain, we are here now,  in this crazy mixed up world full of distortions and fabrications of truths.  The Law of One also provided insight about us being graded on our 5448b568955661f1df02bb93ad6bc254performance during our lifetime with a positive/negative grading system. 51% positive you have your ticket home. Less than that,  it is a do over, reincarnation and not just here, but anywhere in the Universe. Once again we do not remember anything from our past experiences. This concept is basically in line with eastern belief systems.

Jesus said, “The man old in days will not hesitate to ask a small child seven days old about the place of life, and he will live. For many who are first will become last, and they will become one and the same.”  (Saying 4 Gospel of Thomas)

983790_10152768735973781_3222843208763816826_nAs infants, we learn to sit up,  crawl, stand and then our first step. By the time we are able to communicate effectively, we have forgotten who we really are and our purpose.  Then the programming begins. We have continuous media noise, our education , political and religious systems all work against us. We have families, children and most of us have to work. Life gets hectic, and before you realize it, we are emerged so deeply in the material world that it is difficult to think clearly, much less remember who we are and our purpose in life.

Yeshua said, If they say to you, “Where have you come from?”say to them, “We have come from the light, from the place where the light came into being by itself, established itself, and appeared in their image.” (Saying 50 Gospel of Thomas)

Then at some point, realization sets in and we start to believe there is something more than the material world.  We  go to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques420484_10151229660328781_426202221_n and other places of worship to seek the truth. We either get comfortable in that  belief system  or continue seeking the truth.  According to the Law of One, all religions have some truth, but no religion  has all the truth. The passing criteria does not require you to be a member of a religion,  or you can be a member of any religion as long as you are 51% positive. The key is love, and along with wisdom, something we are to learn during this lifetime.  Love the One Infinite Creator with all your heart, love your neighbor, nature and all of God’s creation and be of service to others.  Love is a very positive energy and is essentially who we are,  the divine spark of God.  Jesus said we were Gods in  John 10:34. Our thoughts, emotions and actions  manifest our reality, but like babies,  we do not know how to use the divine power within and have to learned one step at a time.  Every thought, every emotion and action is energy with positive or negative consequences,  all computed in our 51% positive goal.

Jesus said, As I have loved you, so also you must love one another. John 13:34

The journey begins with a single step. We have been given divine gifts to help us find our way. Discernment is one of those gifts.  The more you trust yourself and your judgement over what others tell you,  the more you will see the light within.

Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. The eye is the lamp  of the body. If your vision is clear, your whole body will be full of light.”  Matthew 6:22

Understanding your thoughts,  emotions and actions are paramount to your spiritual 558146-Buddha-Quote-Mind-is-everything-What-we-think-we-becomepath manifesting your reality. Affirmations are a powerful tool, a reminder of your beliefs and goals.  Meditation is our gateway to find our way home. Starting a daily practice can be one most beneficial endeavors to look within and discover your divinity.   All of us are divine sparks of infinite worth trying to find our way home. Good luck on your journey and Love and Light to all.

The Bible, Reincarnation, Meditation and the Third Eye

Does the Bible teach us about reincarnation and meditation and the third eye?  Before we explore these important questions, it is important to understand how the bible of today came into existence. In the second and third centuries, Christianity was very diverse and different groups of Christians had different beliefs including the Gnostics; they debated and argued the nature of God and how many gods there were; about Crowd-of-Ancient-Roman-Men-who Jesus was, whether he was human, or divine of the soul, or something else; some believed knowledge of our true selves as the way, the world we live in, the nature and extent of the scriptures, and on and on with every conceivable concept . There were, in fact, so many different groups of early Christians that believed so many differ things, that scholars today prefer to speak not of early Christianity but of Early Christianities, encompassing a wide varieties of different beliefs.

Constantine the Great, also known as Constantine I, became Roman Emperor in 306 CE and ruled until 337 CE. Many of his soldiers converted to Christianity, and in 312 CE he converted to Christianity. According to a biography of Constantine written by Eusebius, images 1Constantine was deeply disturbed on the eve of a significant battle and wonder how he could receive divine assistance for his military cause. Constantine claimed that the night before the battle he had a dream of the cross and was told in his dream that this was the sign that would give him victory. He went into battle and emerged victorious. There are doubts this was genuine because Constantine continued to worship other divinities, the god of the sun.

The Roman empire was vast and was fragmented culturally, politically and religiously. Emperor Constantine saw Christianity as a unify force. In 325 CE, Constantine called for7d535873eb96e4adf03324e3e3a76941--ecumenical-council-orthodox-icons a council of 318 bishops from around the world to resolve the question. In what sense was Jesus God. Arius’s supporters maintained that Jesus was a subordinate divinity the creation of God the father and came into being at some point in time. After much debate of the issues, the council decided against the views of Arius and his followers. All but 20 bishops agreed with the decision and after Constantine twisted their arms, 17 of those 20 signed on the Nicene Creed. That was the first of the seven ecumenical councils of the church, the last being the Second Council of Nicaea in 787. The debating and arguing was much like today in the United States Congress and probably  in most governments around the world.

Before the 4th century, there is little or no evidence of all the biblical books appearing together in a single form.  Instead the biblical writings are found individually in scrolls or codexes  or in loose collections. Before the invention of printing in the 15th century, all productions was handwritten by scribes.

images1The theory of reincarnation is said to have been recorded in the Bible. But the proper interpretations were struck from it during an Ecumenical Council meeting of the Catholic Church in Constantinople sometime around 553 A.D.

There is a reference to reincarnation in Matthew 17:12, “But I tell you that Elijah has already come, and they did not recognize him, but have done to him whatever they wished. In the same way, the Son of Man will suffer at their hands.”

Meditation is mentioned in the old testament numerous times.  One should consider meditation and prayer are one in the same.

The third eye is mentioned in Matthew 6:22  when Jesus said, “The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.”

Jesus also said in Luke 8:17 “For there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing concealed that will not be known and illuminated”  and again in Luke 12:2 “There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed,or hidden that will not be made known”  and also in Matthew 10:26  “So do not be afraid of them. For nothing is concealed that will not be uncovered, or hidden that will not be made known”.

Was Jesus message about ourselves hidden in  ancient texts are being found around the world?  Perhaps one such finding was in 1945, when thirteen ancient texts called “codices” were discovered in upper Egypt untouched by scribes. They were translated during the 1970’s and can be found in the The Nag Hammadi Library. Scriptures such as the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Philip, and the Gospel of Truth were found, and label as Gnostic Gospels thought to be destroyed during the early Christian struggle to define “orthodoxy.”   Edgar Cayce said the Gnostics were the highest form of Christianity.  Is that why Scholars are now JB-Rumi-Quotestudying such text?

Perhaps we should not consider any one religion or concept,  but all world teachings.  Jesus taught the way of Love,  Buddha taught the way of Meditation, many  spiritual traditions the way of the third eye,  and Chakras our energy centers,   and the Law of One teaches unity, all providing a message and guidance from our Creator to find our way home.

We are all taking or final exam in life. I prefer not to put my fate in whether I pass or fail based on bickering and arguing men through the centuries. This is the time for enlightenment for those who are seeking. The world is at our fingertips for those who want to know the truth, simply use the gift of discernment.

Encoded Ancient Hymn-We Forget Our True Nature

Music is the universal language, our common thread.  The vibrations moves our very essence, sometimes bringing tears to our eyes, goosebumps and so many other senses varying from person to person.  We are all different and what move one may not move another but regardless music moves us. Can music define who we are, help us find our way?

It is the age old question; who are we, why are we here and where are we going. We go to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places seeking that very answer, adding confusion and distortion. Music is one thing that can bring us together.

In 1984 songs such as  material world on a secret journey  suggest we are on a spiritual journey with amnesia. Most of us have been on the streets of silence.  Song and hymn, a way to communicate a message.

In ancient times,  there was a mystical poem about all of us. The Hymn of the Pearl may be one of the greatest Gnostic scriptures ever composed. It’s one of several hymns embedded in The Acts of Saint Thomas in India. Everything seems to be hidden. The hymn is commonly interpreted as a images (57)Gnostic view of the human condition; we are spirits lost in a world of matter and forgetful of our true origin. This state of affairs could change by a revelatory message delivered by a divine messenger. The letter takes on a symbolic representation of gnosis. The Song of the Pearl is a narrative poem about a prince’s quest for a pearl. Presented in the Acts of Thomas as a hymn uttered by Thomas, The Song of the Pearl is also a gnostic tale of salvation, of sleeping in error and awakening to Light, of quest not only for the pearl but for the benefit of possessing the pearl, a return to the Light.

Most of the gnostic writings were thought to be lost after losing the battle with Orthodox Christianity when their writings were eliminated. One interesting parable in Matthew 13: 44-46 the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl.

In 1945, thirteen ancient texts called “codices” were discovered in upper Egypt untouched by scribes and can be found now in the The Nag Hammadi Library.

download (9)In 1981, there was a narrow band transmission stating, “ We have watched your group. We have been called to your group, for you have a need for the diversity of experiences in channeling which go with a more intensive, or as you might call it, advanced approach to the system of studying the patterns of the illusions of your body, your mind, and your spirit, which you call seeking the truth. We hope to offer you a somewhat different slant upon the information which is always and ever the same.”

Known as the Law of One, the contact lasted from January 1981 to March 15, 1984. It was recorded and documented. The transcript contains over 2360 questions and answers in 106 sessions with a scientific and metaphysical vocabulary with a searchable database. It is available for anyone with the will and desire to study the advanced spiritual teachings. Scott Mandelker PhD, combines eclectic Western psychology with intensive study of Eastern religions, and followed upon years of formal training in US and Asian Buddhist temples said this material is “One of the most important spiritual documents since Jesus”. His YouTube videos cover the entire Law of One sessions providing his reading and understanding. Perhaps this is an antidote for amnesia.

The Hidden Teachings of Jesus

Jesus or Yeshua is  known throughout the world as a spiritual leader, messiah, divine,  prophet,  Jewish preacher, religious leader, son of man, son of God and even God.   Jesus said in Luke 12:49-53  “I have come to set the world on fire.”   Indeed he has; in all  facets of our understanding and beliefs, especially today.

After Jesus’ crucifixion around 30 AD, Christianity was born but not as we know it today.  Christians of the second and third centuries held a remarkably wide range of beliefs. Although some of these beliefs  may sound ludicrous today,  at the time they seemed not only sensible but right. Some Christians maintain there were two gods, or 12, or 30, or more. Some Christians claimed that Jesus was not really a human being, or that he was not really divine, but that he was two different beings, one human and one divine. Some Christians believe that this world was not created by the true God but a malicious deity as a place for punishment for human souls which has been trapped here  in human bodies. Some Christians believe that Jesus death and resurrection had no bearing on salvation and some Christians believe that Jesus never actually died. The New Testament was canalized 367 years after Jesus crucifixion and the religion of Islam started  610 AD.

download-16.jpg The Quran had many references of Jesus, also known as Isa. Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet who was given a special message to convey to all people.  Muslims accept that Jesus was a servant, teacher, and lover of God’s Word, they do not believe that he was divine or the son of God. The Quran describes the miracles Jesus performed, such as healing the sick and raising the dead, but does not ascribe these miracles to his divinity. Instead, Jesus is a sign to all humankind of God’s endless mercy.  Christianity and Islam combined,  is more than half the world population and world religions .  There is no doubt, the man called Jesus, Yeshua or Isa has set the world on fire and has a huge impact on the world belief  systems today.

Jesus’ life was not easy. The people of that time walked everywhere, some living as nomads in small groups, keeping flocks of sheep and goats, and traveling from place to place in order to feed and protect their animals. Others lived more settled lives, growing crops or providing services to people in towns and urban areas.  Communication was word of mouth, very few could read or write.  Jesus traveled with his disciples teaching and healing those who requested it. Some claim  he traveled to India and many other places.  As a child, he was learning that he had a power within and had to learn to 021-lumo-jesus-disciplescontrol it.  In some stories found in the Infancy Gospel of Thomas presents Jesus an amazing divine child: He makes sparrows out of clay and then brings to life. He raises people from the dead and heals his brother James when he is bitten by a snake.

Other stories present young Jesus as something of a holy terror: When a boy uses a tree branch to ruin some pools of water that Jesus has made, Jesus tells him to wither up like a tree and he does. When another boy runs into Jesus’s shoulder, Jesus curses him and the boy dies. At one point, Joseph says, “people who make him angry die”.  Scholars have tried to make sense of this text but always don’t agree on how to understand it.  More information on theimages (55) Infancy Gospel of Thomas can be found here and the Origins of the Infancy Gospel of Thomas Tales here.

Jesus studied and understood the Jewish Bible as well as the Rabbi’s and may have been one himself. Some of his saying and teaching were very esoteric. One time he  was confronted by a group of Jews who wanted to stone him.  They told Jesus  “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claiming to be God.”   Jesus answered them,  “Is it not written in your Law, ‘I have said you are “gods”  .   Jesus was referring to  Psalm 82.6  I said, ‘You are “gods”;  you are all sons of the Most High.’  That was one of many esoteric sayings Jesus presents in the new testament. Another one is in Matthew 6:22, when Jesus said  “The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will 12-apostles-58a2412d3df78c4758c05375be full of light.  Did he mean the third  eye, the Sixth Chakra?

He spoke in the language of his time, simple-minded people trying to spread the most important word the world has ever known, the logos.   He spoke in metaphors and parables with deep hidden meanings with an esoteric message to humanity.

After his crucifixion, in the 2nd and 3rd centuries,  Christianity had many different concepts and belief systems. Some Christians maintained there were 2 Gods, or 12 or thirty or more. Some Christians maintained  Jesus was not really a human being, or  was he divine. Others thought he was two different beings, one human, one divine. Others believed the world was not created by the true God but by a malicious deity as a images (86)place for punishment for the human souls which have become entrapped here in human bodies.  Some Christians believed that Jesus death and resurrection had no bearing on salvation and some believed that Jesus had never actually died.

One of those belief systems was Gnosticism. Gnosticism is a term from the Greek word   gnosis meaning “knowledge”. Christians of the 2nd and 3rd centuries did not read the New Testament because the New Testament did not yet exist.  Gnostics were the early movement of Christianity and lost the early Christian struggle to define orthodoxy. The Gnostics Christians  had different views from the early Christianity. Orthodox images (84)Christianity created the idea of heresy to condemn the Gnostics quest for higher knowledge because the different belief system.  Heresy comes from the Greek word Hairesis, which meant school of thought and did not have negative connotations. Early Christians wanted  a single harmonious and considered themselves as a single body of Christ and did not want any division.  Overtime, people who followed the Gnostics were considered godless and imperious members of a school of thought and  therefore heretics. Some in the Christian religion still believe that today.  The destruction of their sacred texts was inevitable, so some hid them in caves and various other places so they images (63) could not be found.

In 313 AD, Emperor Constantine converted and established Christianity as the official religion of the Roman Empire. The motivations of the Emperor were complex. Christianity had grown too powerful to suppress, and even Roman soldiers secretly converting to Christianity.  After Emperor Constantine established Christianity as the official roman religion, and as it is today.  All other forms vatican-pope-easter-83cd5409fa51d764of Christian beliefs were eliminated, by destroying and burning texts, letters and manuscripts.   Many early followers of Christ were condemned by other Christians as heretics.  Orthodox Christianity prevailed when in 397 C.E., the Council of Carthage established the orthodox New Testament canon with the 27 books. Through the years, the New Testament Canon had scribes copy by hand, word  for word, taking or adding  a word or even a letter has changed the meaning today.  Nearly 2000 years later our  understanding of Jesus teachings is from the New Testament Canon but with nearly  2000 years of editing.  There are over  40 versions of the New Testament today.  The church leaders provide their teachings to an uncertain concept, until now!

Now we have an astonishing variety of early Christian writings survive outside the canon of the New Testament.  In many case, these writings expand upon the New Testament writings  with a new understanding  of Jesus’ message.   We know the church version,  but now we can know another version and you can seek the truth for yourself.

For the first time  we have access to an apocrypha Jesus, hidden or secret teachings.  In images (64)1945, original gnostic documents were found and is believed to be one of the most important archaeological finds in the 20th century. Thirteen ancient texts of Gnostic works called “codices” found in caves in Upper Egypt untouched by scribes, can be found in the Nag Hammadi Library .    Among the manuscripts was the  discovery of a complete copy of  114 secret sayings of Jesus , known as Gospel of Thomas, thought to be constructed in the 1st or 2nd century A.D.  Some of the sayings in the Gospel of Thomas can be found in the New Testament.  The text has very Eastern download (14)flavor, being almost Buddhism and Tao Te  Ching in some of the sayings.

The discovery in 1945 provides a new and refreshing school of thought about spirituality and Jesus message. The discovery also came at a time when it could be shared with the world and not suppressed as it was for the last twenty centuries.download (13)

The untouched scriptures,   communicated a different way of life and salvation,  Jesus is a teacher of wisdom and understanding, speaking in metaphors and parables of love and enlightenment. Much different from the sin and repentance as the Church teaches.  Since the discovery and publications, the Gospel of Thomas has been the most celebrated of the 13 ancient texts discovered in 1945.   Jesus confronts his disciples and leaders of the gospel with powerful sayings for all to contemplate the meaning. It starts:

“These are the secret sayings which the living Jesus spoke and which Didymos Judas Thomas wrote down”.

(1) And he said,  he who shall find the interpretation of these words shall not taste of death.

In the Gospel of Thomas, salvation comes to those that learn from Jesus’s sayings the truth about themselves.  “When you come to know yourselves,” Jesus said,  “then you will be known, and you will understand that you are images (4)children of the living father.”  If people do not come to know themselves, then they remain mired by spiritual poverty.

Your true self,  Thomas teaches, does not belong to this world of change and materiality. Instead,  it originated in a realm of permanence and intellect. and it will return to the realm-if you know your true self.  Our problem is not sin, but ignorance: We mistakenly think our material bodies are our true selves.

Meditation, the Gateway Home

Starting with just two minutes a day will help with getting into the meditation habit. Meditation for 30 minutes a day, even broken up in three 10 minutes or two 15 minutes session helps incorporating meditation into your daily life. The practice should not be uncomfortable, but pleasant and enjoyable. Each person should go at their   own pace and their own way. Daily meditation is a positive step for anyone on the spiritual path.

Besides the countless benefits of meditation,  Andrew Newberg, MD Director of Research, Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital  has being doing research and suggest that Human beings appear to have spiritual brains; brains that are capable of feeling deeply connected to something greater than themselves and that we can develop intense beliefs about God.  His research reveals the fascinating relationship between the universal spiritual urge and the intricate workings of the human brain. He did brain scans of Franciscan Nuns while they were engaged in a type of meditative prayer called centering prayer.  The brain scans showed many different changes, including changes in he parts of the brain that are involved in the sense of self, providing evidence that meditative prayer has a measurable effect on the brain.

What science is just now proving,  Tibetan Buddhist have known for years. There is  images (54) rainbow body loving thoughtsan advanced spiritual practice known as the Rainbow Body.  It involves the practitioner being able to dissolve their body and mind into light at the time of death and even during their lifetime.   It was reported that when a person dies, rainbows suddenly appeared in the sky and after several days their bodies disappeared. Sometimes fingernails and hair were left. Sometimes nothing was left.  A rainbow light has been witnessed by thousands of people after death.  Attaining ‘rainbow body’ is discussed in Zen texts, as well as Zoroastrian, Christian, Manichean, Muslim, Bonpo, and of course, Vedic texts, among others. Attaining the ‘light body’ is for everyone. There is ample proof  it actually does occur and has in ancient times.

Father Francis Tiso, author of  Rainbow Body and Resurrection,   a gave this presentation at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco providing his evidence that such a thing occurs. Father  Tiso also discusses the implications of an  images rainbow monkIONS-sponsored research project investigating a specific case of the Tibetan Buddhist practices of the “Rainbow Body,” the ostensible dematerialization of the physical body after death.

Some believe these stories reflect upon the resurrection of Jesus Christ, which is central to the Christian faith. Jesus was loving and compassionate, selfless person. When he died, according to the gospels, his body was no longer there. Jesus said in Matthew 6:22  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 22 The eye is the lamp of   the body. If your  vision is clear, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your vision is poor, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!

The eye is the lamp of the body, also known  as the third eye, the sixth Chakra. This Chakra, if the vision is clear,  receives the Intelligent Energy from God. These energies pour or stream down into the individual’s body, mind and spirit.

rainbow bodyUnderstanding and obtaining a rainbow body is available to everyone.  Buddha said “Before you set foot on the path master yourself”  “Master yourself’   Simply make a commitment  and start by just sitting quietly for a specific period of time in a comfortable place. In the Law of One,  Session 15.12 explains how an individual can work on balancing the self and provides the steps of how to balance each Chakra.  Scott Mandelker PhD, provides his commentary and reading of session 15.12 on his YouTube video, essential information for balancing the self.

Make meditation a habit and it will change your life. Consider it God’s gift to all of us so we may find our way home.  Only you have the key to unlock the door.

Jesus said: If those who lead you say to you: See, the kingdom is in heaven, then the birds of the heaven will go before you; if they say to you: It is in the sea, then the fish will go before you. But the kingdom is within you, and it is outside of you. When you know yourselves, then you will be known, and you will know that you are the sons of the living Father. But if you do not know yourselves, then you are in poverty, and you are poverty. Gospel of Thomas verse 3

The Path to Higher-self

We are all body, mind, and spirit complexes, radiating energy, constantly trying to figure it out the meaning of life and the purpose of our existence.

But since our birth we have been programmed. Our education, media, political and religious systems play an integral part of who we are and who we become. We live in worldwide system of control to keep us occupied with what has become what we believe is normal. People go to churches, synagogues, temples, monasteries, mosques and other places of worship to seek the truth, not realizing religion is part of the control system. Organized religion tells us what and how to believe, keeping us from knowing the truth. Guided-Meditation-to-Connect-With-Higher-Self

Jesus was a spiritual teacher. His message was even distorted saying only through him can one be saved. In a discovery in 1945 in Egypt,   collection of thirteen ancient books (called “codices”) containing over fifty texts, was discovered. In these text, the Living Jesus speaks of illusion and enlightenment not of sin and repentance, like the Jesus of the New Testament. Instead of coming to save us from sin, he comes as a teacher who opens access to spiritual understanding, telling us the Kingdom of God is within you. Even Buddha said seeking within, you will find stillness. Here there is no more fear or attachment-only joy.

The spiritual path is unique for each person. For me, the the Law of One has very deep spiritual teachings and has been said to be one of the most important spiritual documents since Jesus.  images (43)

We are all spiritual beings with a higher power within, the higher self. Each individual is responsible for their own awakening by whatever means they deem appropriate. Spirituality is understanding we are all one with infinite intelligence, love yourself, love others, love all of nature, being a service to others, and how your thoughts create your emotions and actions creating your reality. Meditation, contemplation and prayer, are the gateway to the higher self and infinite intelligence. Our goal in this life is to learn the ways of love and wisdom.
