Russia warns of ‘direct military clash’ with US

Washington’s behavior on the world stage risks direct conflict between the nuclear states, the Russian embassy in the US has warned.

“Today, the United States continues to act with no regard to other countries’ security and interests, which contributes to an increase in nuclear risks,” the embassy said in a statement on its Telegram channel.

“The [US’] steps to further engage in a hybrid confrontation with Russia in the context of the Ukrainian crisis are fraught with unpredictable escalation and a direct military clash of nuclear powers.”

The embassy noted that Washington has recently withdrawn from two key arms control agreements, the 1987 Intermediate Range Nuclear Forces Treaty, which banned certain classes of land-based missiles, and the 1992 Treaty on Open Skies, which allowed for surveillance flights over each other’s territories.

The embassy urged the US to “take a closer look at its own nuclear policy instead of making unfounded accusations against the countries whose worldviews do not coincide with the American ones.”

“Our country faithfully fulfills its obligations as a nuclear-weapon state and makes every effort to reduce nuclear risks,” the diplomats said.

The statement comes after the US accused Moscow of using the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine as cover for its soldiers. The plant, the largest in Europe, was seized by Russian troops during the early stages of Moscow’s military operation in Ukraine, which was launched in late February. It continues to operate with Ukrainian personnel under Russian control.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken called Russia’s action at the facility “the height of irresponsibility.” Russia and Ukraine, meanwhile, have been accusing each other of shelling the plant. According to Moscow, artillery fire by Ukrainians forces caused several fires and partial power outages this month.

Russia initiated a UN Security Council meeting last week regarding the situation around the Zaporozhye power plant. Russian envoy Vassily Nebenzia said that Moscow supports the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to inspect the facility as quickly as possible.

New CDC COVID-19 Guidance Is Agency ‘Admitting It Was Wrong’: Epidemiologist

By Zachary Stieber and Jan Jekielek

August 13, 2022 Updated: August 13, 2022

The new Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 guidance is the agency acknowledging it was wrong in the past to downplay natural immunity and promote unprecedented policies like asymptomatic testing, a California epidemiologist says.

The new guidance, released on Aug. 11, rescinds and alters a number of key recommendations, including treating unvaccinated and vaccinated people differently for many purposes, explicitly stating that people with previous infection have protection against severe illness, and removing six-foot social distancing advice.

“The CDC is admitting it was wrong here, although they won’t put it in those words,” Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, professor of medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine, told The Epoch Times.

“What they’ll say is that, well, ‘the population is more immunized now, has more natural immunity now, and now is the time—the science has changed.’”

But a large percentage of the U.S. population has had natural immunity, or protection from prior infection, Bhattacharya noted, while over 80 percent of the elderly population had protection from severe disease from COVID-19 vaccines, previous infection, or both, since 2021.

“This is two years too late, but it’s a good step,” Bhattacharya added.

CDC Statement

The CDC, which did not respond to a request for comment, portrayed the change as streamlining previous guidance, with the adjustments stemming from more people being vaccinated and more COVID-19 treatments available.

“We’re in a stronger place today as a nation, with more tools—like vaccination, boosters, and treatments—to protect ourselves, and our communities, from severe illness from COVID-19,” Greta Massetti, the CDC author of the new guidance, said in a statement. “We also have a better understanding of how to protect people from being exposed to the virus, like wearing high-quality masks, testing, and improved ventilation. This guidance acknowledges that the pandemic is not over, but also helps us move to a point where COVID-19 no longer severely disrupts our daily lives.”

Dr. Jerome Adams, the surgeon general during the Trump administration, echoed the line of thinking.

“The fact that @CDCgov is changing guidance shouldn’t be taken as proof that they were necessarily ‘wrong,’ on a particular issue. The virus has changed, our tools and immunity have changed, and our knowledge has changed. So too must our guidance. That’s how science works,” Adams wrote on Twitter.

Vaccination numbers have fallen off in recent months, with little change among adults and little update among children, even after the vaccines were authorized and recommended for kids as young as 6 months old.

No new treatments have been authorized since December 2021, and a number of the treatments have been shown as less effective against newer strains of the virus that causes COVID-19, as have the vaccines and, in some cases, natural immunity.

Nearly half of the 20 papers and briefs cited by the CDC in support of the adjusted guidance were published in 2020 or 2021, while a number of others were released in early 2022.

No Mandates Rescinded Yet

Among the most significant changes in the guidance: a rollback of recommendations for asymptomatic testing for individuals exposed to COVID-19, loosening guidance related to tracing contacts of COVID-19 cases, and ending quarantine recommendations for people exposed to a positive case.

Some rules are stricter for high-risk settings such as nursing homes.

Masking is also recommended for 10 days for people who were exposed to COVID-19, including when a person is at home around others.

Bhattacharya, who co-authored the Great Barrington Declaration in 2020, a document that called for focused protection on the elderly and fewer restrictions on others, said that the guidance is closely aligned with the principles outlined in the declaration.

Based on the new guidance, the CDC should immediately rescind the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for foreign travelers entering The United States, a policy imposed in November 2021, the professor added.

The CDC’s webpage describing the mandate says that the agency “is reviewing this page to align with updated guidance.” The U.S. government has not adjusted or rescinded any of its vaccine mandates since the guidance was changed.

Ex-FBI Official Could Testify on Claims Agency Inflated ‘Domestic Violent Extremism’ Numbers

By Katabella Roberts
August 11, 2022 Updated: August 11, 2022

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is calling on former FBI Counterterrorism Division Assistant Director Jill Sanborn to testify regarding whistleblower claims that agents were pressured to reclassify cases as “domestic violent extremism” even if they did not meet the criteria.

In a letter to Sanborn on Aug. 10 the Republican lawmaker, who serves as the ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee, wrote that the whistleblower allegations that the FBI is pushing agents to inflate the numbers of domestic violent extremism cases are among many that he and other members of the committee are investigating that concern “the politicization of the FBI.”

Sanborn served as Counterterrorism Division assistant director at the law enforcement agency and then as executive assistant director at the National Security branch between January 2020 and April 2021, until she left the federal service.

According to Jordan, the whistleblower revealed that Sanborn was among officials in the FBI who allegedly led the pressure campaign on agents to reclassify cases as domestic violent extremism, or DVE.

“One whistleblower explained that because agents are not finding enough DVE cases, they are encouraged and incentivized to reclassify cases as DVE cases even though there is minimal, circumstantial evidence to support the reclassification,” Jordan wrote.

“Another whistleblower stated that a field office Counterterrorism Assistant Special Agent in Charge and the FBI’s then Assistant Director of the Counterterrorism Division pressured agents to move cases into the DVE category to hit self-created performance metrics. This whistleblower identified you as one official who exerted pressure on agents to reclassify cases as DVE matters.”

‘Padding Domestic Terrorism Data Is Scandalous’

“Your testimony is necessary to advance our oversight, we, therefore, ask that you contact the Committee to schedule a transcribed interview as soon as possible but no later than 5.00 p.m. on August 24, 2022,” he wrote in the letter, which was also signed by Rep. Mike Johnson (R-La.).

The Epoch Times has contacted the FBI for comment.

Jordan first revealed the whistleblower allegations in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray on July 27 (pdf).

“Given the narrative pushed by the Biden Administration that domestic violent extremism is the ‘greatest threat’ facing our country, the revelation that the FBI may be artificially padding domestic terrorism data is scandalous,” the lawmaker wrote in his letter to Wray.

According to the FBI, domestic violent extremist is defined as “an individual based and operating primarily within the United States or its territories without direction or inspiration from a foreign terrorist group or other foreign power who seeks to further political or social goals wholly or in part through unlawful acts of force or violence.”

The Biden administration has said that domestic terrorism is the most urgent threat currently facing the United States.

Following the Jan. 6 breach of the U.S. Capitol, the creation of a new unit in the Justice Department to counter domestic terrorism was announced. At the time, officials said that the number of FBI investigations of suspected violent extremists had more than doubled since the spring of 2020.

However, Jordan is among a number of Republican lawmakers who have expressed concerns that both the Justice Department and FBI have become politicized.

The lawmakers’ letter to Sanborn comes shortly after the Florida Mar-a-Lago home of former President Donald Trump was raided by FBI agents, prompting Republican leaders to condemn the move and accuse the Biden administration again of weaponizing the Justice Department for political purposes.

Amazing testimony from financial elite insider – Ronald Bernard

Ronald Bernard was directly working with the highest people of the financial elite, who effectively rule the world. He was very good at moving their massive money flows, in such a way that nobody could discover their criminal practices. At a certain point they invited him to join their Holy Mass in the Churches of Satan. Bernard found it amusing to see the naked women, and enjoy the drugs and alcohol. The next step however shook him: he was invited to participate in the sacrificing of children. He discovered that most people who operate at the highest financial levels of our world are all part of a religion called Luciferianism, where children are sacrificed.

Meditation Connects Your Mind and Body

Analysis by Dr. Joseph Mercola

STORY AT-A-GLANCE

  • Evidence shows your mind and body are intricately connected — in fact, thousands of genes have been identified that appear to be directly influenced by your subjective mental state
  • Along with eating a healthy diet, getting a variety of exercise and ensuring proper sleep, meditation is a daily life-giving practice I highly recommend
  • Meditative practices have been shown to reduce your risk for heart disease by lowering your blood pressure, cortisol and heart rate and optimizing LDL cholesterol, as well as improving your overall stress level
  • Specific types of meditation, such as those focused on attention control, emotions and theory of mind, have been shown to have positive effects on your brain

This article was previously published January 4, 2018, and has been updated with new information.

I believe meditation practice can be an important part of health and well-being. Meditation not only is a powerful means of relaxing, but also useful for addressing anxiety, managing pain, preventing disease and relieving stress.

Meditation Reduces Your Risk of Heart Disease and More

There is growing evidence demonstrating your mind and body are intricately connected, and wide acceptance that whatever is going on in your mind has some bearing on your physical health. Brain imaging has shown meditation alters your brain in beneficial ways, and scientists have identified thousands of genes that appear to be directly influenced by your subjective mental state. The mind-body connection is real, and what you think does affect your health.

In fact, research1 suggests a persistent negative state of mind is a risk factor for heart disease. Conversely, happiness, optimism, life satisfaction and other positive psychological states are associated with a lower risk of heart disease.

The study authors said:2 “[The] findings suggest that positive psychological well-being protects consistently against cardiovascular disease, independently of traditional risk factors and ill-being. Specifically, optimism is most robustly associated with a reduced risk of cardiovascular events.”

While some people appear to be born with a sunnier disposition than others, meditation has been shown to boost optimism and help regulate mood. Meditative practices have also been shown to help optimize your LDL cholesterol and lower your:3

  • Blood pressure
  • Cortisol
  • Heart rate

Such findings are consistent with a downregulation of your hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and sympathetic nervous system, both of which are overactivated by stress. Stress is also a well-known risk factor for heart disease, making meditation all the more important. In addition to promoting heart health, meditation:4

Boosts emotional health and well-being Encourages self-awareness
Helps fight addictions Improves sleep
Increases feelings of compassion and kindness Lengthens attention span
Lessens anxiety and depression Manages pain
Promotes concentration and memory Reduces stress

Your Brain Benefits From Meditation

Meditation can be considered a form of “mental exercise” for your brain. The goal is to continually draw your attention to your breath to the exclusion of everything else. Whenever your mind wanders, you seek to gently bring it back to your breath. According to Forbes.com, meditation helps us connect with and leverage our minds:5

“Through meditation, we get better acquainted with the behavior of our minds, and we enhance our ability to regulate our experience of our environment, rather than letting our environment dictate how we experience life.

With recent neuroscientific findings, meditation as a practice has been shown to literally rewire brain circuits that boost both mind and body health. These benefits of meditation have surfaced alongside the revelation that the brain can be deeply transformed through experience — a quality known as ‘neuroplasticity.’”

Indeed, neuroplasticity allows the nerve cells in your brain to adjust to new situations and changes in their environment. The short-term effects of meditation include enhancing attention, inhibiting inflammation, lowering blood pressure and reducing stress.

Long-term meditation benefits, reaped over time with consistent practice, include enhanced empathy and kindness, greater emotional resilience and increased gray matter in brain regions related to memory and emotional processing. As noted in one of the largest studies6 to date on meditation and the human brain, different types of meditation produce different changes to your brain.

Neuroscience researchers at Germany’s Max Planck Institute of Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences conducted a meditation program through which 300 participants were examined with respect to three different types of meditation, for three months each.

Brain scans performed after each three-month program showed more gray matter in regions of the brain involved in each type of meditation, as compared to scans from the control group. The focal point for each type of meditation and the brain changes elicited were as follows:7,8

Type of Meditation Meditation Focused On Brain Region Showing Increased Gray Matter
ATTENTION (MINDFULNESS) Mindful attention to breath and body Prefrontal cortex and parietal lobes, both of which are linked to attention control
COMPASSION Emotional connections established through loving-kindness meditations and partner-based problem-sharing sessions Limbic system, which processes emotions, and anterior insula, which assists in bringing emotions into conscious awareness
COGNITIVE SKILLS Thinking about issues from different perspectives through both partner activities and individual meditation Regions involved in theory of mind, which helps attribute thoughts, desires and intentions to others as a means of predicting or explaining their actions

The study authors suggested additional research is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of meditation training for individuals suffering from social cognition deficits, such as those related to autism or psychopathy. Other areas of potential future work include meditation-related training to increase cooperation and well-being in corporate settings and social intelligence in children. About the current outcomes, the study authors stated:9

“[O]ur findings of structural plasticity in healthy adults in faculties relevant to social intelligence and social interactions suggest that the type of mental training matters.

Depending on whether participants’ daily [meditation] practice focused on cultivating socio-emotional capacities (compassion and prosocial motivation) or socio-cognitive skills (putting oneself into the shoes of another person), gray matter increased selectively in areas supporting these functions. Our findings suggest a potential biological basis for how mindfulness and different aspects of social intelligence could be nurtured.”

Reduce and Manage Stress With Meditation

Stress is one of the biggest challenges facing U.S. adults, with many reporting the negative impact stress has on their mental and physical health. The American Psychological Association’s 2015 Stress in America survey revealed a sizable portion of adults did not feel they were doing enough to manage their stress.10 Nearly half of Americans said they engage in stress management activities just a few times a month or less, while 18% said they never do.

Nearly 40% reported overeating or eating unhealthy foods as a result of stress, while 46% said they lie awake at night due to high stress levels. In October 2021, the APA reported new findings after more than two years under the pandemic. In that report:11

  • 32% said sometimes they are so stressed about the coronavirus pandemic that they struggle to make even basic decisions, such as what to wear or eat
  • 48% of millennials said they were particularly affected in this way
  • 63% of all respondents said that uncertainty about what the next few months will be like causes them stress
  • 49% said the pandemic makes planning for their future feel impossible
  • 45% of Gen Z adults and 50% of millennials said they do not know how to manage the stress they feel due to the pandemic

Given the extent of stress and its far-reaching effects, meditation is a simple technique you can practice anytime, anywhere to alleviate stress. If you are not sure where to begin, gratitude can be a great focal point for lower stress.

Simply reflecting on things for which you can be thankful (versus what is irritating or lacking) can do wonders to energize your mood and ratchet down your stress levels. One type of meditation easily applied to virtually any activity is called “mindfulness,” which involves paying attention to the moment you’re in right now.

Rather than letting your mind wander, you actively choose to live in the current moment, while letting distracting thoughts pass through your mind without getting caught up in them.

You can incorporate mindfulness into virtually any aspect of your day — eating, doing household chores, driving or working — simply by reining in your mind and paying attention to the sensations you are experiencing in the present moment. In a 2017 study,12 70 adults with generalized anxiety disorder who completed a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class fared better when facing stressful situations than those who were trained in stress-management techniques alone.

In the MBSR class, participants learned elements of mindfulness meditation, including paying attention to the present moment, as well as gentle yoga and body scan meditation. The MBSR group reported meditation helps reduce stress. Notably, their physical measures of stress were also lower, including the stress hormone ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone) and proinflammatory cytokines, which are markers of inflammation.

Essential Oils Are a Wonderful Accompaniment to Meditation

Essential oils can enhance your meditation experience by promoting relaxation, peacefulness and mental clarity. If you have trouble calming your mind when meditating, try incorporating essential oils, which have even been shown to help attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). You can use essential oils during meditation by:

  • Diffusing oils into the air — When essential oils are diffused into the air through an essential oil diffuser, they help stimulate your senses and promote relaxation during meditation.
  • Applying oils directly to your skin — Apply essential oils to pulse points and the bottoms of your feet, or your wrists for self-directed inhalation as you meditate. You can also apply a drop or two of essential oil to any bodily area that becomes a distraction during meditation.

When you inhale the fragrance of an essential oil, the aroma penetrates your bloodstream via your lungs. This is thought to be one of the mechanisms by which aromatherapy exerts its physiological effects. The fragrance affects your brain’s limbic system, which controls both memories and emotions.

While it would be difficult to state all of their benefits for meditation, essential oils have shown particular promise in alleviating stress, boosting your energy, enhancing your sleep, improving your memory, reducing nausea and pain and stabilizing your mood.

Many essential oils have antibacterial, antifungal and/or antiviral qualities and, unlike antibiotics, they do not promote resistance.13 Essential oils are a great way to enhance your meditation experience,14 and you will receive maximum benefits if you use 100% pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils derived from the highest quality ingredients.

Bergamot, lavender, lemon, peppermint, pine, vetiver and ylang ylang have been shown to be effective in reducing stress, while clary sage, lavender, orange, Roman chamomile and sandalwood are a few of the oils used to soothe anxiety.15

Seven Tips for Leveraging Your Mind-Body Connection

According to The Chopra Center, those who practice mind-body medicine recognize the interconnection of all things — your mind, body and surrounding environment. As such, every breath puts you in harmony, or sets you at odds, with whatever is going on in and around you. That said, health is best defined as a state of optimal well-being, wholeness and vitality, not simply the absence of disease. About the mind-body connection, the editors at Chopra.com suggest:16

“Since the body and mind are inextricably connected, every time [you] have a thought, [you] set off a cascade of cellular reactions in [y]our nervous system that influence all the molecules in [y]our body.

[Yo]ur cells are constantly observing [y]our thoughts and being changed by them … [You] have amazing potential to heal and transform [yourself] through [y]our thoughts, perceptions, and choices. The body is a magnificent network of intelligence, capable of far more than current medical science can explain.”

The following tips will help you maintain a healthy balance of dialogue between your mind and your body. When your thoughts and physical nature are in harmony, you are more likely to listen to your body, treat it well and make choices that support your well-being. To cultivate your personal mind-body connection, each day you may want to:17

1.Take time to quiet your mind and meditate — Research led by a team from Massachusetts General Hospital18 found that as little as eight weeks of meditation induced not only calmness, but also produced positive brain changes. Areas of the brain affected by meditation included those responsible for empathy, memory and stress regulation.

2.Eat a healthy diet — Eating a diet filled with organic fruits and vegetables, plenty of healthy fats and moderate amounts of grass fed meat is vital to nourishing your body and fueling your mind. Be sure to eat mindfully and chew your food well.

3.Engage in daily exercise and nonexercise movement — Exercise not only benefits your body, but also energizes your mind and promotes emotional well-being. Whatever you choose, be sure your program includes a range of activities such as core training, stretching and weight training.

4.Get adequate sleep — I cannot emphasize enough the importance of getting sufficient, high-quality sleep every night. Most adults need about eight hours of sleep for proper brain and immune function. In addition, adequate sleep enables you to better handle stressful situations.

5.Release toxic emotions — If you make a habit of harboring unprocessed feelings such as anger, disappointment and hurt, you may be unknowingly infecting yourself with toxic emotions that drag down your mind and body. The Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a great tool to release emotional toxins. EFT has been shown to be especially helpful in soothing anxiety.

6.Cultivate loving relationships — A strong social support network is vital to your mental and physical health. Loneliness has been shown to be more hazardous to your health than obesity or smoking. If your network of friends is small, consider volunteering.

7.Enjoy laughter — Some suggest laughter is the best medicine, and scientific research supports the belief that laughter boosts your immune system and curbs the production of stress hormones. If you haven’t laughed in a while, the laughing baby in the video below is just what this doctor recommends to lighten your mood.

2020 Election: Arizona Woman Pleads Guilty to ‘Sophisticated’ Ballot Harvesting Scheme

By Gary Bai

June 3, 2022 Updated: June 4, 2022

An Arizona woman has pleaded guilty to using her position in the Democratic Party to illegally harvest ballots in a ballot abuse scheme.

Guillermina Fuentes, the 66-year-old former mayor of San Luis, Arizona, pleaded guilty on June 2 to one count of ballot abuse for her role in an August 2020 primary election ballot harvesting scheme, according to the Arizona Attorney General’s office. Arizona attorney general’s office investigators said the operation was “sophisticated,” reported The Associated Press.

The scheme involved early ballots from other voters that were collected and deposited into a ballot box on primary election day, the office said.

Fuentes’s plea came as a result of an ongoing election fraud investigation conducted by the Arizona Attorney General office’s Election Integrity Unit. She was indicted in December 2020.

Fuentes, of Yuma County, is the owner of a local construction business, former mayor of San Luis, Arizona, and a Democratic precinct committee person.

She admitted to “knowingly” collecting early ballots from four persons who is not her family member, household member, or caretaker, or on or about Aug. 4, 2020, the day of the primary election, according to her plea agreement.

Fuentes further admitted that the early ballots were later provided to Alma Juarez, who pleaded guilty in January to one count of ballot abuse, a misdemeanor with a maximum sentence of six months with probation available, according to Juarez’s plea agreement.

The former mayor will be sentenced on June 30.

Fuentes told The Epoch Times on Friday that the charge was a result of “political witchcraft” and that her political opponents “hated” her.

In a response to a press inquiry from The Epoch Times, Fuente’s attorney called Arizona’s ballot abuse law a race-based “ongoing anti-democratic, state-wide, and national voter suppression efforts.”

Parallel Investigations

Tania Pavlak, a spokesperson from the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, told The Epoch Times that the Sheriff’s office has not been involved in prosecuting Fuentes, as the Arizona Attorney General’s office and the county sheriff’s office are conducting separate and parallel investigations on voting fraud allegations in the state.

Pavlak said the sheriff’s office is conducting its own voter fraud investigation and currently has 16 open cases related to either the 2020 election or the 2022 primaries. She declined to comment on how many cases are related to either election.

The “pattern of fraudulent voter registration forms,” according to a May 11 statement made by the sheriff’s office, include impersonation fraud, false registrations, duplicate voting, and fraudulent use of absentee ballots.

The spokesperson said the Yuma County Recorder’s Office detected a pattern of fraudulent voter registration, in which a number of people sent in duplicate forms or documents with false information on them, and referred the cases to the county’s sheriff.

“We already had been investigating these cases for the past few months and so the sheriff wanted to make sure we sent out that information with election season now hot and up and running. That way, people were aware of what was happening and also could stay vigilant,” Pavlak said.

“What they’re seeing is that there are registration forms that are being either falsified or people that are double registering with information that doesn’t match their current registration,” she added.

Ballot Harvesting Hearing

Fuentes’s guilty plea came two days after a hearing at the Arizona legislature where the state’s Senate and House lawmakers heard evidence and allegations pertaining to a state-wide ballot harvesting campaign during the 2020 presidential election.

Election integrity organization “True the Vote” at the hearing presented evidence of cell phone tracking data showing that more than 200 devices had visited ballot drop boxes in two of the state’s largest counties no less than 5,700 times during the 2020 election.

“When we started the project, we didn’t know [what we would find],” said Catherine Engelbrecht, the Texas group’s founder and president, at the May 31 hearing.

“We began to think through what is a realistic expectation or threshold for when going to a drop box is too many times. We wanted to focus on a clear, narrow data set [to demonstrate] extreme outlier behavior.”

The group’s investigators settled on 10 visits as outlier behavior—but in Arizona, they found that each alleged ballot harvestor went an average of 21 times each, Engelbrecht said.

In Yuma County, the study found 1,435 unique drop box visits by 41 target devices based on cell phone signals, or “pings.”

Lawmakers—all Republican—vowed to move forward with bill HB-2289 that would make ballot drop boxes illegal in Arizona.

“The only thing I would like to see come out of this meeting is people going to jail,” said State Rep. Quang Nguyen (R). “I would just like to see people cuffed.”

Engelbrecht told The Epoch Times on June 3 that the state attorney general’s investigation, which led to the indictments of Fuentes and Juarez, shows that this issue is “getting a broader look.”

“Based on our research, the ‘Arizona model’ is one that is followed across the country, and it involves national organizations,” she said, referring to alleged widespread ballot harvesting.

“So we, the American people, need to continue the pressure on to continue investigations moving forward to get to the bottom of what’s happening, not just in Yuma County, Arizona, but in many counties across this country.”

Zachary Stieber and Allan Stein contributed to this report.

The first of three peer-reviewed research studies on women who suffered menstrual irregularities or a decidual cast around the time COVID vaccines were rolled out begins to shed light on the sudden spike of this historically rare gynecological abnormality.

A decidual cast is when the inside lining of the uterus (endometrium) is shed intact, the entire lining is shed in one piece.

“What a decidual cast is is the sloughing off of the entire inside of the uterus all at once, generally preceded by several days of intense cramping as the uterus contracts. So what is passed is a ‘cast’ of the inside of the uterus,” Dr. Christiane Northrup, a co-author of the study, told The Epoch Times.

Over the past 109 years, decidual cast shedding (DCS) had less than 40 reported cases in the medical literature. The event had been so rare that there are only case studies and population prevalence data doesn’t exist, according to the research.

In the later 7.5 months of 2021, participants of MyCycleStory.com reported 292 cases out of 6,049 women who participated in the survey.

One of the authors of the study, Dr. James Thorp, is an extensively published 68-year-old physician MD board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as maternal-fetal medicine, who has been practicing obstetrics for over 42 years.

“The most common causes of DCS in pre-pandemic years include spontaneous miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, and prolonged progesterone therapy. We speculate that one potential mechanism could include the hypercoagulable state and change in the blood consistency that has been well documented by many embalmers including Mr. Richard Hirschman. Thus, the large, durable post-mortem clots that the embalmers first noticed last year can be viewed in this context as ‘arterial casts’ and ‘venous casts’ and they do have a strikingly similar appearance to that of decidual casts, excluding the shape,” Thorp said.

“Extreme menstrual irregularities such as DCS should not be ignored as there are potentially important implications with regard to the lipid nanoparticles that are known to concentrate in the ovaries and also syncytial antibodies that could result in miscarriage (spontaneous abortions),” he added.

Thorp previously told The Epoch Times that he has been seeing “many, many, many complications in pregnant women, in moms and in fetuses, in children, offspring,” since the COVID vaccine was widely distributed.

“Fetal death, miscarriage, death of the fetus inside the mom,” Thorp added. “What I’ve seen in the last two years is unprecedented.”

Thorp explained that although he has seen an increase in fetal death and adverse pregnancy outcomes associated with the COVID-19 vaccination, attempts to quantify this effect are hampered by the imposition of gag orders on physicians and nurses that were imposed in September 2021, as reviewed in the publication “Patient Betrayal: The Corruption of Healthcare, Informed Consent and the Physician-Patient Relationship” (pdf).

The study, titled “COVID-19 and the surge in Decidual Cast Shedding” (pdf), shows disturbing images from different women who suffered DCS.

It reads: “A decidual cast may occur when the cessation of progesterone levels results in loss of support for the decidualized endometrial lining. This results in a synchronized detachment of the entire decidualized layer of endometrium, and it passes from the uterus through the cervix and vagina. This tissue mass/clot is often triangular, consistent with the internal shape of the intrauterine cavity. Other less common causes of DCS include cessation of exogenous estrogen/ progesterone therapies, and use of oral contraceptives and injectable progesterone.”

Tiffany Parotto, the lead researcher of the study and founder of MyCycleStory, is particularly distressed about the censorship and deletion of a Facebook group of about 21,000 members where women were talking about their menstrual irregularities.

“The real problem I’m seeing here is that it’s 2022 and somehow still acceptable for the voices of women to be completely erased as if they don’t matter,” Parotto told The Epoch Times.

“The fact of the matter is, tens of thousands of women are experiencing traumatic bleeding and major issues. Women know what is normal for us and what is not. We know our bodies more than any doctor or social media site to know when something isn’t right. What right does big tech have to tell us our stories are not worth sharing? How are we supposed to get to the root of what the cause could be if we are left feeling like we are the only ones experiencing them? I’m disgusted at the idea that our experiences are being suppressed and undermined as if suddenly ‘listen to women’ only means sometimes. So we knew we had to do the work ourselves and created the study. We had to give these women their voices back and let them know that we refuse to allow them to be silenced and we will do what needs to be done to demand attention on this issue,” Parotto said.

Northrup, MD, a former fellow in the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, fears that there could be much more data related to reproductive damage that hasn’t been discovered yet.

“The female menstrual cycle is considered a vital sign as important as blood pressure and body temperature when it comes to health assessment. Our initial findings of bleeding and decidual cast shedding in women who have been exposed to those who have had the experimental injection suggest that what we’ve seen so far is just the tip of the iceberg. The reproductive effects of this shot could be far worse than we’ve been led to believe,” Northrup said.

The authors point out that there are some limitations to this first study.

“First, it is an observational study of patient questionnaires and certainly subject to sample bias. Second, the decidual casts were not confirmed by pathological analysis but self-reported. Third, the pre- and post- pandemic prevalence of DCS cannot be accurately determined at the time of this writing,” they state.

‘Knowledge Is Power’: Constitutional Scholar Strives to Educate the Public and Rein in the Federal Government

By Matt McGregor
May 27, 2022 Updated: May 28, 2022

Christin McMasters’ strategy for teaching about the U.S. Constitution is first to establish a foundation by answering why we have a government, and from there, why we have a constitution.

McMasters, also known as The Liberty Belle via her blog, has initiated a North Carolina-based constitutional-advocacy crusade to answer those questions in classes, speaking engagements, and informative articles that can be found on her website: thelibertybellenc.com.

For McMasters, the answer to those questions is simple, but it’s been lost under a rapidly accumulating pile of bureaucratic gobbledygook, doublespeak, and propaganda.

“We created the government to do a job for us, so they’re our employees, and we the people are their employers,” McMasters told The Epoch Times.

But without a job description, those government officials have no reason to do what their employers require of them if the employers themselves aren’t even sure of what the job is.

“The job description specifically tells our government what it can and cannot do,” McMasters said.

And this is where the U.S. Constitution enters the picture, McMasters said.

“It’s huge because, throughout world history, governments have had arbitrary power, which is power that comes from nowhere,” McMasters said. “It’s unconfined and limitless.”

But if government officials have an agreed-upon job description—and both citizens and government officials know their assigned roles—veering off a clear path into the shadow of capricious mandates, restrictions, and even lockdowns isn’t an option for the employers or the employees.

“The Constitution has nothing to do with my feelings, thoughts, or beliefs,” she said. “It has to do with the fact that we don’t want a government that can do whatever it wants. I haven’t found a Democrat or Republican who wants a government with arbitrary power.”

One of her inspirations for starting her initiative, McMasters said, was her observation that many people don’t know why they believe what they say they believe, she said.

Combine that with what she described as “the amount of very effective propaganda that’s being pushed in the academic world,” and students are left with no foundation, she said.

“I can’t blame college students for falling for everything they’re being told because it pulls on all the right emotional strings, and it seems to make sense, but the ‘whys’ are never answered still,” she said. “Many students go into these college environments and fall for everything because they don’t stand for anything.”

‘Why We Should Care’

McMasters, a self-described “millennial constitutionalist” from Charleston, South Carolina, got her doctorate in political science at the University of South Carolina, though she said she’s not the average academic.

“I actually love this country and love liberty and will fight for it at all costs,” she says on her website.

Not wishing to censor herself, McMasters chose not to reenter academia after getting her doctorate, so she teaches at a local community college while networking as The Liberty Belle, she said.

“I’m very passionate about what I do,” she said. “I want to make the Constitution relevant to all students by answering the big questions, like why they should care.”

McMasters doesn’t drape her classes with opinion as many academics tend to do, she said, because what’s most important is what the Constitution says, she said, not what she thinks.

When she speaks on national issues, she addresses them from a “purely constitutional perspective,” she said.

“I have strong feelings about things, but my fundamental goal is to confine the government to one that has to do what it’s told, not whatever it wants,” she said. “As I’ve given presentations throughout North Carolina, I’ve found that many people have genuinely never been taught some of these basic principles of the Constitution, which is why I build that foundation first.”

Getting students to drop their ideological convictions and make educated, objective arguments based not on opinion but around the parameters of the Constitution is rewarding, she said.

Threats to the Constitution

Two of the biggest threats to the U.S. Constitution, McMasters said, are ignorance and dwindling respect.

“In Charles Montesquieu’s ‘The Spirit of Laws,’ Montesquieu writes about the love of the law for a country to last,” she said.

There have been countries that took the U.S. Constitution model for their own but eventually still failed, she said.

“They end up getting overthrown in like ten years, and this has happened time and time again,” she said. “So why on earth has ours lasted so long? There’s this genuine respect people have for the document.”

Though the Constitution is violated “left and right and all over the place,” it’s done so under the pretense that it’s still being followed, she said.

“You’ll notice politicians say, ‘That’s not constitutional,’” she said. “The only reason they feel like they should say that is because they know there’s still a shred of respect in the American public whose favor they could lose if they go too far.”

However, that shred of respect is being slowly whittled down, she said.

This is what concerns McMasters, and why she said she started The Liberty Belle.

“The inherent spirit of the Constitution that exists in our hearts and minds is being killed, and when that happens, the government can do whatever it wants, as publicly as it wants, and nobody’s going to blink,” she said.

In many classrooms, the teaching of critical race theory (CRT)—the Marxist philosophy that sees society as a class struggle between oppressors and the oppressed, specifically labeling white people as the oppressors and all other races as the oppressed—has minimized the U.S. Constitution as an outdated document written by what proponents of CRT have deemed as racists.

To this, McMasters responded, “What’s more outdated: a government that has the arbitrary power of kings, queens, czars, and emperors—which is what we’ve had since the beginning of time—or this so-called outdated document that protects our liberties and keeps us from having an unconfined government?”

The United States, she said, has done something revolutionary and modern in that it confined government.

Just Say No

However, over time citizens have become less informed about the relationship between them and their employees: the government officials.

This has led to a bloated government, McMasters said, and with that, the shadow of arbitrary power has cast itself wider.

Constitutional violations on a federal level have been numerous, which is why she said citizens need to get involved in their local governments to hold them accountable by making them assert themselves within the framework of their own state constitutions.

“States have been able to successfully protect their citizens because local government officials know where the federal government’s power starts and stops,” she said. “The problem now is we have states hooked on federal money.”

When states take federal money, the federal government can then dictate how laws are written, which McMasters said brings the issue back to ignorance.

“Unfortunately, citizens are the ones demanding that states take that money because many of them are uninformed and not realizing that they’re asking the government to provide arbitrary power,” she said. “If we can get people educated, however, so that they’re aware that this isn’t a federal job, then suddenly you’ve changed the game and the states can start saying, ‘No,’ and pulling themselves off that money.”

Education and law enforcement have fallen into these traps, she said, and there are many local police who have been deputized on a federal level.

“Despite the fact that we have multiple federal policing agencies now, there’s technically no policing allowed in the Constitution for the federal government,” she said.

When local law enforcement agencies take federal money, they become subjects to the arbitrary power of the federal government, opening the door for potential ethical violations, including violations of human rights.

“If the federal government tells these agencies to round up all of the unvaccinated people, we need a police force to say, ‘Sorry, that’s not within our power, and it’s not within yours,’” McMasters said. “But they have to know they can just say no.”

This is why McMasters said she’s willing to bring her educational political consulting to all local agencies such as law enforcement and grassroots organizations, because she said local citizens need to know when the federal government is exceeding its boundaries, a historically dangerous practice that leads to local entities becoming subjects of a federal rule.

For McMasters, it’s not just a cliché when she says, “Knowledge is literally power.”

Russiagate investigator believes Durham cracked ‘insurance policy’ mystery

Russiagate investigator believes Durham cracked ‘insurance policy’ mystery

Kash Patel, a former top House Intelligence Committee aide, said he believes special counsel John Durham has figured out the “insurance policy” discussed by leading FBI officials in the heat of the 2016 presidential election.

A text message sent by FBI agent Peter Strzok to then-FBI lawyer Lisa Page in August 2016 mentioning an “insurance policy” is integral to what Republican investigators have long suspected to be part of a so-called plot to undermine then-candidate Donald Trump — a view rejected by ex-top FBI brass involved in the matter. Strzok and Page, who were romantically linked, have filed separate lawsuits against the Justice Department and the FBI for alleged wrongful firing under political pressure and violating the Privacy Act with the release of their text messages, respectively.

One week into the trial of Michael Sussmann, a former lawyer for Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign accused of lying to the FBI, Patel said the “damning testimony” heard by the court so far will inevitably have former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, as well as “lovebirds” Strzok and Page, “concocting an ‘insurance plan.'”

“And I think John Durham knows what that ‘insurance plan’ is. I know we figured it out during Russiagate, and we have tried to educate the American public on it, but it remains classified, partly,” Patel told Fox Business anchor Maria Bartiromo on her Fox News program Sunday Morning Futures.

Text messages between Strzok and Page, in which they displayed a negative opinion of former President Trump, were uncovered over the course of the Justice Department inspector general’s investigation into the DOJ and FBI’s conduct during the investigation into Clinton’s unauthorized private email server, which she used while secretary of state.

SUSSMANN TOLD CIA SIMILAR ‘CLIENT’ LIE IN 2017, DURHAM SAYS

The text Strzok sent to Page on Aug. 15, 2016, weeks before Clinton lost to Trump in the presidential contest, read, “I want to believe the path you threw out in Andy’s office — that there’s no way he gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take the risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.”

Both Strzok and Page were later grilled about their messages during testimony to congressional investigators.

Strzok recalled the mid-August 2016 text mentioning an “insurance plan” as being part of a larger conversation about protecting an “extremely sensitive source” as he and Page considered how far to lean into the counterintelligence investigation into possible links between the Trump campaign and Russia, as it was widely viewed that Trump did not have a very good chance of beating Clinton in the election. Page acknowledged the texts were referring to the Russia investigation but said it was a “continuing check-in” to decide how quickly to proceed with the investigation based on the outcome of the election.

Durham began his review of the origins and conduct of the Russia investigation as a U.S. attorney following an appointment by former Attorney General William Barr in 2019. Although Durham left his role as U.S. attorney, the Biden administration let the inquiry continue after Barr appointed him special counsel. The endeavor has long been criticized by Democrats and some legal observers, who claim the inquiry is meant to undercut special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into ties between the Trump 2016 campaign and Russia. Trump and his allies have championed it as a means to rid agencies such as the FBI of corrupt officials and uncover the role Clinton played in ginning up Trump-Russia collusion concerns, including in the media sphere.

Durham has two active prosecutions. One of them is a case against Sussmann, who was indicted for allegedly lying to the FBI about whom he was representing when, in September 2016, he presented internet data that suggested a now-discredited link between Trump and a Russian bank. Sussmann denies lying to the FBI and has pleaded not guilty. His trial continues next week.

STRZOK PUSHED FALSEHOOD ON TRUMP-RUSSIA INQUIRY ORIGIN IN 2017, NOTES INDICATE

The other prosecution centers on a case against a key source for British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s anti-Trump dossier. In addition, Durham has obtained a single guilty plea, which came from former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who admitted to altering an email about a onetime Trump campaign aide, Carter Page, under government surveillance. Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz determined the FBI’s counterintelligence investigation was filled with serious missteps and errors and concealed potentially exculpatory information from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. The Justice Department told the FISA court it believed at least the final two of four FISA warrants were “not valid.”

McCabe testified to Congress in 2020 that he was “shocked and disappointed” by the “errors and mistakes” found in the FISA applications and expressed regret about signing off on one of the renewals. However, he also denied that the FBI’s Trump-Russia inquiry was meant to be a “coup,” stressing, “We had many reasons at that point to believe the president himself might pose a danger to national security.”

McCabe, who was fired from the FBI in 2018 hours before his retirement, said in 2019 he was the one who ordered an obstruction of justice inquiry into Trump after the firing of FBI Director James Comey to ensure the Russia investigation would not “vanish in the night without a trace.” Also in 2019, McCabe filed a wrongful termination lawsuit and last year won back his full pension as part of a settlement with the Justice Department. Briefing notes disclosed during Sussmann’s trial show McCabe talked about Trump’s “tweet activity” in March 2017 after Trump accused former President Barack Obama of wiretapping Trump Tower.

Patel, who held high-ranking positions in the Trump administration after departing the House intelligence panel, emphasized on Sunday that the timing of the “insurance policy” text is important to consider. “I remind the audience that’s in August of 2016, when they were digesting the Steele dossier, when they were running with the Alfa-Bank server nonsense, and when they were getting ready to go to the FISA court,” he said. “This trio, who led this, the biggest criminal conspiracy in U.S. history, I believe is in the crosshairs of John Durham.”

Patel also predicted there will be more charges in Durham’s long-running investigation. “I firmly believe he’s got a few more indictments coming this summer,” he said.

People Who Pushed Idea of Universal Vaccination Are ‘Guilty of Crimes Against Humanity’; 2000 Mules and More

People Who Pushed Idea of Universal Vaccination Are ‘Guilty of Crimes Against Humanity’: Former Pfizer VP

By Enrico Trigoso
May 14, 2022 Updated: May 14, 2022

Former Pfizer VP Michael Yeadon maintains that since the infection fatality ratio of COVID-19 has not been high, the vaccines should not have been mandated.

Moreover, he heavily blasted the corporate media mantras that designate these as safe, effective, and necessary to end the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic.

Yeadon is a big pharma veteran with 32 years in the industry. He worked as the head of allergy and respiratory research at Pfizer from 1995 to 2011 and is the former founder and CEO of Ziarco, a biotech company acquired by Novartis. Furthermore, he has a doctorate in respiratory pharmacology and holds a Double First Class Honors degree in biochemistry and toxicology.

A shocking 1,223 deaths and 42,086 adverse events were reported to Pfizer from the first day of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine rollout on Dec. 1, 2020, to Feb. 28, 2021.

“The worst flu season over the last decade is worse than [the threat] posed by this new virus,” Yeadon told The Epoch Times via email.

“And what do we do in response to seasonal influenza? Well, nothing really, beyond offering—and not mandating—vaccines which aren’t much use.”

Of important note is that the exact number of fatalities in China, where the virus originated, has been suppressed by the communist regime and could be 366 times the official figure.

Bill Gates, Dr Fauci And Big Pharma Accused Of Crimes Against Humanity In Complaint To International Court

Yeadon said that being sure the vaccines would cause no harm in the long run should have been imperative.

“It was never appropriate to attempt to ‘end the pandemic’ with a novel technology vaccine. In a public health mass intervention, safety is the top priority, more so even than effectiveness, because so many people will receive it,” Yeadon states in a document he sent to The Epoch Times.

“It’s simply not possible to obtain data demonstrating adequate longitudinal safety in the time period any pandemic can last. Those who pushed this line of argument and enabled the gene-based agents to be injected needlessly into billions of innocent people are guilty of crimes against humanity.”

Yeadon argues that natural immunity was obviously stronger than any protection from the jabs, and cited an article by Dr. Paul Alexander that has over 150 studies attesting to naturally acquired immunity to COVID-19.

Yeadon feels that the novel vaccines should have not been given emergency use authorization (EUA) and that if he were directing the pandemic response, children, pregnant women, and people who already had contracted the virus would have been given a red light on the jabs.

“I would have outright denied their use in children, in pregnancy, and in the infected/recovered. Point blank. I’d need years of safe use before contemplating an alteration of this stance.”

10 biggest crimes against humanity: Genocide, massacre, civil wars

He further argues that the vaccines were sure to be toxic and it was only a matter of degree of toxicity.

“Having selected spike protein to be expressed, a protein which causes blood clotting to be initiated, a risk of thromboembolic adverse events was burned into the design. Nothing at all limits the amount of spike protein to be made in response to a given dose. Some individuals make a little and only briefly. The other end of a normal range results in synthesis of copious amounts of spike protein for a prolonged period. The locations in which this pathological event occurred, as well as where on the spectrum, in my view played a pivotal role in whether the victim experienced adverse events including death,” Yeadon said.

“There are many other pathologies flowing from the design of these agents, including for the mRNA ‘vaccines’ that lipid nanoparticle formulations leave the injection site and home to liver and ovaries, among other organs, but this evidence is enough to get started.”

Kiev Has Killed 14,000 Civilians Since 2014, Guilty of Crimes Against Humanity, Morales Says

Earlier this month, a physician said that he has been seeing an unusual amount of fetal death and miscarriages linked to the COVID-19 vaccines—according to his observations—and noted that mRNA products, contained in nanoparticles, accumulate in the ovaries.

“From data that we have, there appears to be a concentration of the lipid nanoparticles, which are very, very small particles, which are in the vaccine that are injected into the arm,” Dr. James Thorp told The Epoch Times, “and then the vast majority of those are dispersed throughout the entire body.”

A lipid nanoparticle is a fat-soluble membrane that is the cargo of the messenger RNA.

“They appear to concentrate in the ovaries, and they appear to cross all God-made barriers in the human body, the blood-brain barrier, the placental barrier during pregnancy, into the fetal bloodstream, and all the fetal tissues inside the womb, crossing the blood-brain barrier in the fetus, the baby in the womb, which is very concerning,” he noted, since the eggs produced by women are limited in number, and they would be “exposed to a potentially disastrous toxic lipid nanoparticle.”

Another concern that Yeadon had not noticed during his initial study was that “the mRNA products (Pfizer & Moderna) would accumulate in ovaries.”

“An FOI request to the Japanese Medicines Agency revealed that product accumulation in ovaries occurred in experiments in rodents,” Yeadon said. “I searched the literature based on these specific concerns and found a 2012 review, explicitly drawing attention to the evidence that the lipid nanoparticle formulations as a class do, in fact, accumulate in ovaries and may represent an unappreciated reproductive risk to humans. This was ‘a well known problem’ to experts in that field.”

A 2012 study says that after testing with different mouse species and Wistar rats, “a high local accumulation of nanoparticles, nanocapsules, and nanoemulsions in specific locations of the ovaries was found in all animals.”

Referring to the study, Yeadon told The Epoch Times that “the authors tell untruths. They say something like ‘there was no increase in anti-syncytin-1 antibodies.’”

“No, that’s wrong. Their data is clearly 2.5X increased after vaccination and obviously statistically significant (functional significance is looking confirmed by the miscarriage rate),” Yeadon noted.

“What they’ve done is cute. They’ve chosen a completely arbitrary level they scribed on the figure below which they claim nothing matters. No evidence whatsoever for that claim. In fact, in the discussion, they confess we don’t know the relationship between antibodies and the impact on function.”

Yeadon believes that the pharmaceutical industry “definitely knew,” since 2012, that the lipid nanoparticles would accumulate in the ovaries of women that took the vaccines.

“No one in the industry or in leading media could claim ‘they didn’t know about these risks to successful pregnancy.’”

Another recent study found that Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine goes into liver cells and is converted to DNA, a process called reverse-transcription.
