Most people in the US see the government as rigged against them and a quarter mull pushing back with violence, a poll shows
Almost half of Americans feel like strangers in their own country, a new opinion poll has revealed. It also claims that the majority of people consider their government as a corrupt institution working against them, with more than a quarter saying it may be necessary to take up arms.
The picture of public discontent was revealed by a poll published on Tuesday by the Institute of Politics of the University of Chicago. Two pollsters, one from each major party, surveyed 1,000 registered voters to study divisions in the country.
The results showed a high level of dissatisfaction across political and ideological lines in the US. In total 49% said they increasingly felt like strangers in their homeland, with the mood more prevalent among Republicans, Independents and conservatives. But even Democrats feel the alienation, with 40% agreeing with the sentiment to some degree.
When asked if they considered the government “corrupt and rigged against everyday people like me,” 56% of respondents said they did. Democrats were the only group where the share of people who disagreed with the statement was slightly larger than those who agreed, by a two percentage point margin.
The statement that “it may be necessary at some point soon for citizens to take up arms against the government” was supported by 28% of Americans, including 38% of conservatives, 36% of Republicans, 35% of Independents, and 37% of those who have guns in their homes. Even among self-described soft Democrats, 19% said armed resistance may be necessary.
While supporters of the major parties distrust their government, they don’t like each other much either, the poll suggested. A resounding 73% of Republicans agreed that Democrats were “bullies” trying to impose their views on others, and 70% said Democrats are “generally untruthful.” When Democrats were asked the same two questions about Republicans, 74% and 69% of them agreed respectively.
Most Americans ‘concerned’ about making ends meet – poll
The divisions however are not yet at a point where people would prefer some form of segregation along political lines, the poll indicated. Americans are overwhelmingly fine with having people from the opposite camp marrying into their families, teaching their kids at school or babysitting for them.
Half of the respondents said the root of the problems with political disagreement in the US is that the other side was “misinformed,” 35% acknowledged that there were just honest differences of opinion.
48% of those polled said news reporters, editors and newscasters were “trying to get their own viewpoint across,” rather than “presenting the facts with as little bias as possible,” a view that was supported by 37%.
Cable news and commenters on social media were perceived as being far more politicized than local news, which 74% trust to report events in good faith. The attitude towards national newspapers like the New York Times was divided across political lines. Just 24% of Republicans perceive them as honest actors, compared to 70% of Democrats.
‘God Has Called Me to Stand Up’: USAF Pilot Facing Discharge for Rejecting COVID Vaccine

USAF pilot Lt. John Bowes dreamt of flying and protecting the country his entire life—since he was a child.
He is heartbroken now that he had to put his religious faith over his dream due to the COVID vaccine mandates within the U.S. military, but believes that God is helping him get through the tribulation and that he has a duty to speak up.
The 24-year-old was an F-16 student pilot but was taken out of training and prevented from flying since September of last year when he first submitted his religious accommodation.
“I exercised my constitutional and statutory right to receive a religious accommodation. And then I was, as a direct consequence of doing that, removed from training to fly the F-16. I personally believe that is religious discrimination,” Bowes told The Epoch Times.
He made clear that his views are not representative of the USAF.
“Now that my religious accommodation is denied, I have been formally removed from training. I’ve received a letter of reprimand, which is a disciplinary action that goes on my record as an officer. And I’ve been told that I’ll be processed for discharge here pretty soon,” he said.
Bowes says that nine months ago he filed an equal opportunity complaint with the Air Force Equal Opportunity office, but has not heard back from them so far.
“I’m absolutely heartbroken,” Bowes said, “it’s sad to see that my dream is at risk over something like the COVID vaccine, which doesn’t stop you from getting or spreading COVID.”
The Epoch Times reached out to the USAF for comment.
What’s more, cases of myocarditis—inflammation of the heart muscle—and pericarditis—inflammation of the lining outside the heart—have spiked dramatically since the COVID vaccines started being administered worldwide.
“My faith is what gets me through it because I know that God has called me to speak up about these mandates, and God has called me to stand up for the beliefs that I have—that he gave me, and I’m risking my dream and my career and my future and my financial stability, and my honor as an officer, which is being tainted by these disciplinary actions. All because of my oath to my faith, my oath to God which got me here in the first place, as well as my oath to the Constitution of the United States, which all officers take,” Bowes said.
“And so I’m not here to be rebellious. I’m not here to stick it to the man and so many service members aren’t here to do that, either. We’re simply doing what we swore to do. And standing up for our religious beliefs.”

As the June 30 deadline nears for compliance with the U.S. military’s COVID-19vaccine mandate, U.S. Army officials publicly claim a very small percentage of its members are unvaccinated, reporting 96 percent or more of its members are fully vaccinated.
However, the Army’s vaccination rate could be far lower than 96 percent, an anonymous active-duty senior Army official told The Defender.
Sanctity of Life
As a Catholic, Bowes believes in the sanctity of human life and doesn’t want to use the COVID vaccines because aborted fetal cell lines are involved in either the production or the testing of these.
“That action, the use of that vaccine is not in line with my belief that all human life is sacred and ordained by God to exist on this earth. And the use of abortion, in order to accomplish the production of these vaccines, is just morally abhorrent to me,” Bowes said.
Disclosed CDC emails show that they have been producing and culturing human stem cell lines.
Bowes added that he knows “a lot of service members” whose primary argument in their religious accommodations is the sanctity of their genetic material and not wanting to be forced into having it altered.
According to official data from the Air Force, over 9,500 religious accommodations requests had been denied approval as of June 14.
This is despite Archbishop for the Military Service Timothy Broglio saying in October 2021 that: “The denial of religious accommodations, or punitive or adverse personnel actions taken against those who raise earnest, conscience-based objections, would be contrary to federal law and morally reprehensible.”
Bowes personally knows a few pilots who “developed myocarditis from the vaccine, and they don’t fly anymore.”
Pilot Shortage
The Air Force has been struggling with pilot shortages for years now.
Former Air Force Chief of Staff General David Goldfein testified before congress in 2017 about a shortage of aviators, writing in 2016 that the situation was a “quiet crisis.”
A DoD report (pdf) from 2019 noted that by the end of FY 2018, the Air Force was “short 2,000 pilots out of a total inventory of 18,400.”
“I know of personally more than 700 pilots who are actively unvaccinated and have filed a religious accommodation or have filed for a medical exemption or something of the sort,” Bowes said.
A letter from November 2021 (pdf) from DoD pilots submitting religious accommodation for vaccination to the House and Senate Armed Services Committees details the impacts based on an analysis of a group of 357 pilots that did not want to take the COVID vaccines.
Their estimated value was totaled at $7.8 billion tax dollars, 4,842 years of cumulative service, and 14 years of service on average.
Nineteen percent of them support the mission of nuclear deterrence, 69 percent are instructors, and nine percent are Air Force Weapons Instructors or Navy TOPGUN graduates.
“The implications of 700 pilots is pretty extreme,” Bowes said in an interview with LifeSite news.
Attorneys and doctors have also charged that the FAA is violating its own rule that pilots should not fly after having taken medications that have been approved for less than a year.
An advocacy group called Freedom Flyers is assisting pilots to come forward and speak out about their conditions.
“Many of these pilots are afraid to come forward because if they come forward they lose their flight physical, they lose their flight medical. So they’re continuing to fly. We have a lot of pilots that are flying with chest pain and neurological conditions, because if they come forward they lose their careers,” Josh Yoder, a spokesperson for Freedom Flyers told The Epoch Times.

COVID cases have risen sharply in nearly every country that has launched a mass vaccination campaign. (Please watch this short video before You Tube removes it.[1]) Why is this happening?
Mass vaccination was supposed to reduce the threat of COVID but — in the short term — it appears to make it much worse. Why? And why is COVID now “surging in 4 of 5 the most vaccinated countries?” According to Forbes magazine:[2]
“Countries with the world’s highest vaccination rates — including four of the top five most vaccinated — are fighting to contain coronavirus outbreaks that are, on a per-capita basis, higher than the surge devastating India, a trend that has experts questioning the efficacy of some vaccines … and the wisdom of easing restrictions even with most of the population vaccinated.”
Worse than India? How can that be? And why have eight “fully vaccinated” members of the New York Yankees tested positive for COVID? Here’s the story from the Associated Press:[3]
“New York Yankees shortstop Gleyber Torres tested positive for Covid-19 despite being fully vaccinated and having previously contracted the coronavirus during the offseason. Torres is among eight so-called breakthrough positives among the Yankees — people who tested positive despite being fully vaccinated.”
And if that’s not confusing enough, check out what’s going on in Cambodia. Cambodia began its vaccination campaign in early February after having compiled zero fatalities. That’s right: The country had no COVID deaths until March 2021, a few weeks after it started its vaccination program. And that’s when the deaths started piling up as you can see in the eye-popping chart below.

Zero COVID Fatalities, Until After Vaccination Campaign
So, let’s see if we can figure this out. There were zero fatalities before the launching of the vaccination campaign, but soon after the injections began, the fatalities started to mount. Do you think there might be a connection here? Do you think that, perhaps, the deaths are linked to the vaccines?
Of course, they are. And, that’s why the media is trying to sweep this story under the rug. It doesn’t fit with the “official narrative” about the vaccines, so they’ve decided to “vanish” the story altogether. “Poof” and it’s gone! And, actually, it’s worse than a cover-up because shortly after Biden took office the CDC changed its testing methodology, making it harder to test positive.
In other words, they rigged the system so it would look like fewer “fully vaccinated” people had contracted COVID after inoculation. Dr. Joseph Mercola explains what’s going on behind the scenes:
“Now, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has lowered the CT even further, in what appears to be a clear effort to hide COVID-19 breakthrough cases, meaning cases in which fully vaccinated individuals are being diagnosed with COVID-19.”
It’s all a big shell game. They’re gaming the system to make it look like the vaccines are stopping infection when the evidence proves the opposite. And notice the deliberately misleading moniker the media invented for the people who get COVID after being vaccinated. They call them “breakthrough cases.” “Breakthrough”? Really?
If cases surge in nearly every country that launches a mass vaccination campaign, then there’s nothing “breakthrough” about it. It’s the predictable result of a failed experiment. Here’s more from an article titled: “COVID rates post-vaccination around the world”:[5]
“… the government assumed that if ‘you vaccinate lots of people and the problem goes away’, but the questioners among us did not assume that. Especially having read the FDA Briefing Document for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine for example, many of us had questions after reading it; on Page 42, it states:
Suspected COVID-19 cases that occurred within 7 days after any vaccination were 409 in the vaccination group vs 287 in the placebo group. It is possible that the imbalance in suspected COVID-19 cases occurring in the 7 days post-vaccination represents vaccine reactogenicity with symptoms that overlap with those of COVID-19.
Overall though, these data do not raise a concern that protocol-specified reporting of suspected, but unconfirmed COVID-19 cases could have masked clinically significant adverse events that would not have otherwise been detected.”
FDA Knew Vaccinated People More Likely to Contract COVID
WTF!?! So, the FDA KNEW that vaccinated people were more likely to contract COVID than those in the placebo group, but they approved the vaccines anyway?!? Is that criminal negligence or just plain old stupidity?
Please. Read the above paragraph again and decide whether you would have given these sketchy injections the “green light” or not? Here’s more from the same article:[6]
“The following show data from around the world from some selected locations. It is, of course, vital to stress that correlation is not causation. And that there are countries where vaccine rollout does not precede or coincide with increased infections. However, I have been unable to find any nation where covid rates have begun to drop after vaccination started, or where a drop coincided with vaccination starting.
In Indonesia, for example, the covid rate was falling when vaccination started and seems to have been unaffected in its trajectory by the vaccine being rolled out. The reader can look up these charts for him/herself on the website. Have a look at these and see what you make of them.”
OK, so the author is trying to put the most charitable spin on vaccine performance as possible. He says, “correlation is not causation,” which means, “Don’t trust your eyes when you look at the charts because — if you do — you’ll draw the obvious conclusion that the vaccines greatly increase your chances of getting COVID in the few weeks afterward.”
The charts will also convince you that Fauci, Biden and the media have been lying through their teeth about the effectiveness of the vaccines. (Please, check out the charts in the article and judge for yourself.) Here’s more:[7]
“What is very clear looking at data worldwide, is that vaccinations are certainly not associated with a reliable fall in covid cases in any predictable timeframe. This, alongside the observations in the trial, surely must be addressed. What is happening here?
Is it just that vaccinations are coincidentally being rolled out at the same time as outbreaks are due? In very many places? Or is the vaccine not working immediately? If not, why not? … Or is the vaccine making people more susceptible to infection? If this is the case … is this a temporary effect? What causes it? …
How long does it take for any increased susceptibility to diminish? … We are told that everyone must be vaccinated (but) How can free informed consent be given under these conditions?”
These are all good questions. Unfortunately, Dr. Fauci and Co. don’t plan to answer any of them. Instead, their allies in the media are doing everything they can to disappear the story and deflect attention to other things. Am I being too harsh? Maybe, but maybe not harsh enough.
Reason to Doubt Vaccine Makers’ Reassurances
Take a look at this clip from a piece at Conservative Woman titled, “Every reason to doubt the vaccine makers’ reassurances”:[8]
“I have reported previously on an astonishing spike in deaths that occurred alongside an intensive vaccination campaign in Gibraltar, where the small community consequently developed the highest Covid death rate in the world. We also know that thousands of deaths have been seen in the US, EU and UK in the wake of Covid vaccinations, often immediately after the jab has been administered.
The manufacturers, leading medical journals and most governments insist these deaths are unrelated to the vaccine. In many instances, the deaths and serious illness have been attributed to coincidental infection with the virus. But evidence is mounting that for some, especially the weak and elderly, the vaccine itself is creating or worsening the very illness against which it is supposed to be protective …
… a worrying phenomenon which appears consistently in Covid vaccine studies is a spike in purported ‘infections’ which occurs precisely during that three-week period, and usually immediately following the jab … The researchers raise the possibility that the jab may trigger ‘symptoms likened to Covid-19 symptoms including fever’ in those recently exposed to the virus …
He suggests the mechanism may be a depression in immunity caused by a loss of white blood cells post-jab, observed in both the Pfizer and AstraZeneca trials, making the vaccinees more vulnerable to the virus in the short term.”
OK, so the author arrives at the same conclusion as the previous author; maybe the vaccine makes people more susceptible to the virus by lowering their defenses and, thus, inviting infection. That’s certainly one possibility, but there are other possibilities that could be infinitely more serious. Take a look:[9]
“It has not been generally acknowledged that the jab is designed to protect us by provoking our cells into producing the very toxin that makes the virus more dangerous than its predecessors in the coronavirus family. This toxin, known as the spike protein, can damage not just the lungs but may also affect organs such the brain, heart and kidneys.
The reasoning behind administering the jab is that temporary exposure to the toxin may provide long-term protection against becoming ill from the virus. Early indications are that this strategy is working, although it is not at all certain yet to what extent the fall-off in infection rates seen in intensely vaccinated populations is seasonal and related to the waves of infection, or if it is a lasting benefit.
But there is also a very real possibility, supported by animal experiments as well as by the studies cited above, that the vaccine itself may produce symptoms in vulnerable people which are then attributed to Covid-19. The damage to health may be especially severe in an individual who has been recently or is concurrently infected with the actual virus.
There is therefore every reason to doubt the manufacturers’ assurances that the deaths and injuries seen to be accompanying vaccination, and that in some instances look like and are being attributed to Covid-19, are unrelated to the jabs. The situation is serious enough for some doctors and scientists to be calling for a moratorium on further Covid vaccinations until it has been properly investigated.”
So, it could be, that something in the vaccine itself is killing people. That is one distinct possibility. Sure, the drug companies and public health officials dismiss the idea with a wave of the hand, but medical professionals and scientists think the danger is significant enough to demand that the mass-vaccination program be temporarily terminated.
Main Damage From COVID Caused by Spike Protein
Some readers will recall the Salk Institute study which showed that SARS-CoV-2’s “distinctive ‘spike’ protein” … “damages cells, confirming COVID-19 as a primarily vascular disease.” Here’s an excerpt from the article dated April 30, 2021:[10]
“In the new study, the researchers created a “pseudovirus” that was surrounded by SARS-CoV-2 classic crown of spike proteins, but did not contain any actual virus. Exposure to this pseudovirus resulted in damage to the lungs and arteries of an animal model — proving that the spike protein alone was enough to cause disease.
Tissue samples showed inflammation in endothelial cells lining the pulmonary artery walls. (Note — “Vascular endothelial cells line the entire circulatory system, from the heart to the smallest capillaries.”)
The team then replicated this process in the lab, exposing healthy endothelial cells (which line arteries) to the spike protein. They showed that the spike protein damaged the cells by binding ACE2. This binding disrupted ACE2’s molecular signaling to mitochondria (organelles that generate energy for cells), causing the mitochondria to become damaged and fragmented.
Previous studies have shown a similar effect when cells were exposed to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, but this is the first study to show that the damage occurs when cells are exposed to the spike protein on its own.”
The significance of this report cannot be overstated. The Salk researchers are confirming that the main damage from COVID is caused by the spike protein not the virus. And, if that’s the case, then why are we injecting people with vaccines that teach their cells to make spike proteins?
It makes no sense at all. And how does this effect our understanding of the phenomenon that we’ve seen in countries around the world, that is, the sharp rise in cases following mass vaccination? Allow me to offer a plausible, but as-yet unproven, explanation:
The sharp rise in cases and deaths following mass vaccination is NOT related to COVID “the respiratory illness,” but COVID “the vascular disease.” The vascular component is mainly the result of spike proteins produced by cells in the lining of the blood vessels (endothelium) that are activating platelets that cause blood clots and bleeding.
The other main factor is autoimmune reaction in which the killer lymphocytes attack one’s own body triggering widespread inflammation (and potential organ failure.). In short, the post-injection fatalities are caused by the spike proteins produced by the vaccines and not by COVID. Once again, look at the chart of Cambodia. There were no deaths prior to vaccination. All the deaths came afterwards. That suggests that the fatalities are attributable to the vaccines.
One final thought: 118 million Americans have now been injected with a clot-generating spike protein. At present, no one seems to know how long these potentially lethal proteins remain trapped in the lining of the blood vessels or what damage they might eventually do.
Keeping that in mind, wouldn’t this be a good time to exercise a bit of caution? Why not ease up on the vaccinations until we have a better grasp of the long-term risks? That would be the sensible approach, right? Just postpone further injections until product safety can be assured. If there was ever a time for caution, this is it.

Our choices, experiences, identities and perceptions are hacked well before we become aware. Some may opt to debunk this observation, defending their virtual enslavement instead of being with its truth. It is our conditioning that defines the selective reality we adopt, enabling our self-gratification and establishing our artificial freedom. None of us are immune to these social influences. Our assimilation into the digital matrix is inevitable. Until we observe our individual captivity, experience our personal universality and transform the dynamics of our being, we will always be victims of duality.
The Dream Life
We are born, grow up, go to school, church, onto university, find a career, date, get married, buy a house and a car or two, have children, take vacations, mark time, retire, decline into old age and die. This is the probable future for humanity. It is our common fate. An obligatory rite of passage to sustain a system of authority, control, influence and societal slavery. Our unbridled ego becomes our weapon, impelling us to live isolated from our soul and the universe. We have allowed ourselves to be programmed, proudly bearing the badge of social reality in the bliss of its oblivion. We measure our lives by the accumulation of materiality instead of the fulfillment of our universality.
A Perfect Crime
Social reality is a construct of co-dependency, breeding simulations of advancement, conformity, programming, reliance and triviality. We surrender our personal power to authoritarian organizations for fear of being accountable and honest. Elitist oppressors exploit our deficiencies against us. We amuse, distract and preoccupy ourselves with avoidance, cynicism, indifference and resignation, fortifying our personal prison. This racket is more insidious than any autocratic system in society. It is our self-induced captivity that sentences us to social reality.
The “Woke” Epidemic
In this new era of awareness, it is easy to be manipulated by the influential tides of false consciousness. Society is littered with the kaleidoscopic pantheon of contemporary “wokeness.” Reactive instinct, interpretive intellectualism and volatile emotionality enables and establishes our artificial lifestyle and understanding. Mass emulation triggers our vicious cycles of emotional, perceptual and sensual fantasy. Many of us mistake intelligence with awareness when we allow society to highjack our personal truth. Our unique expression is not found from without. It is sourced only from within.

Cornerstone of Truth
Each of us has a destiny to become an expression of universal energy, originating from the synthesis of our soul with the universe. The source of our being resonates with our intuition, empowers our heart center and inspires our mind and body. It transforms our experience, perception and understanding. Our truth is not established with our belief, education, ideology, knowledge, politics or religion. It transcends all social mechanisms, manifesting in our way of being. The universe is unbiased in nature, expressing itself through us when we choose to transcend social reality.
Water to the Fish
Our indoctrination into the “reality” of life is absolute. No matter how aware we perceive ourselves to be with our instinct, intellect and emotion, the social bubbles we build are the barriers of our captivity. Our oblivion is the invisible gravity we sense, confining us into a three-dimensional construct of existence. We acquiesce our personal power as a daily practice to avoid the shocking truth. We would rather be enslaved in a simulation than pioneer the path to our destiny. Even to the degree we defend the egocentric honor of our intelligence, pride and self-righteousness, dismissing every opportunity to experience freedom of being.
A Solitary Way
When I became present to my personal truth, I realized how lonely it can be. At first, I envisioned it through a filter of my ego. Eventually, I shifted my experience with service to community. This is greater than who I believe myself to be. I grew accustomed to accepting myself for who I was and who I was not, and extended others the same courtesy. Releasing my attachment to outcomes empowered me to embrace all I was, am and would become. There is an extraordinary freedom in being ourselves and honoring others in theirs. Being related with our soul and the universe is our destined purpose.
An Essential Choice
In this new era of empowered being, the choice most of us avoid every day of our lives is now a necessity. Consciousness is always available to us. Choosing anything but awareness is proving to have dire consequences. Whether it relates to our personal experience, evolution, freedom, health and quality of life. Social reality distorts and destroys our relationship with our soul and the universe. Understanding this dynamic is our focus to enrich and empower our relations with others, yet most importantly with ourselves. Consciousness is universal energy that transforms oblivion into being.
Consciousness and Consequence
In my early twenties, I was arrogant and ignorant. I perceived the universe as a vast, empty space of darkness. This was symbolic of how I lived at the time. I was a social vortex of ego, satiating myself in every possible way. Social reality anesthetizes us to the impacts of our personal oblivion. For every unconscious endeavor there is a consequence to our universality. The structures of the universe and the human brain are strikingly similar.
In the Eastern spiritual discipline of Daoism, the human body has long been viewed as a small universe, as a microcosm. As billion-dollar investments are made in the United States and Europe to research brain functioning, the correlations between the brain and the universe continue to emerge.
The two pictures below illustrate the similarities. The top picture shows the neural network of a brain cell; the bottom picture shows the distribution of dark matter in the universe as simulated by Millennium Simulation.

The pictures show a structural similarity in terms of connections and distribution of matter in the brain and in the universe. The photo on the left is a microscopic view, the one on the right is a macroscopic view.
The brain is like a microcosm.
A study conducted by Dmitri Krioukov of the University of California and a team of researchers published in Nature shows striking similarities between neural networks in the brain and network connections between galaxies.
Krioukov’s team created a computer simulation that broke the known universe down into tiny, subatomic units of space-time, explained Live Science. The simulation added more space-time units as the history of the universe progressed. The developing interactions between matter in galaxies was similar to the interactions that comprise neural networks in the human brain.
Physicist Kevin Bassler of the University of Houston, who was not involved in the study, told Live Science that the study suggests a fundamental law governing these networks.
They explain that a black hole resembles the cell nucleus. A black hole’s event horizon—a sort of point of no return where the gravitational pull will suck objects into the black hole—also resembles the nuclear membrane.
The event horizon is double-layered, as is the nuclear membrane. Much like the event horizon, which prevents anything that enters from leaving, the nuclear membrane separates cell fluids, preventing mixing, and regulates the exchange of matter between the inside and outside of the nucleus. Black holes and living cells also both emit pockets of electromagnetic radiation, among other similarities.
The researchers wrote: “Nearly all that exists in the macrouniverse is mirrored in a biological cell as a microuniverse. Simply put, the universe can be pictured as a cell.”

FBI Warrantless Searches of Americans’ Data Doubled From 2020 to 2021: ODNI

The number of searches conducted by the FBI of Americans’ communications doubled from 2020 to 2021, according to a report released April 29 by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI).
The ODNI report details U.S. intelligence agencies’ use of Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which authorizes the warrantless surveillance of electronic communications content stored by U.S. internet service providers. ODNI noted that this year’s report is the first one to track the FBI’s use of “unminimized Section 702 collection”—raw data collected by the National Security Agency (NSA).
According to the report, the FBI used its Section 702 powers to collect the data of some 3.4 million U.S. persons in 2021—up from 1.3 million a year before. The report only provides statistics for 2020 and 2021.
A senior FBI official reportedly said in a press briefing Friday that the 3.4 million figure “is certainly a large number.”
“I am not going to pretend that it isn’t,” the official said, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Senior Biden Administration officials reportedly attributed the uptick in FBI searches to Russian cyberattacks throughout 2021.
“More specifically on this threat, we identified a pool of potential victims, which did include U.S. persons, and we ran that against our 702 collection in order to identify who, in particular, Russia was actually targeting,” the senior official said, according to The Record.
The report noted that tracking the exact number of Americans caught in the FBI’s surveillance dragnet is difficult because the bureau tracks its Section 702 data differently from other agencies.
“For reasons discussed more fully below, these statistics are reported separately from NSA, CIA, and NCTC due to unique variations in FBI’s data, chief among them that FBI does not count the number of unique query terms, but instead counts the total number of queries, which could include duplicate queries of the same term,” the report said.
Sen. Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) released a statement on April 29, reacting to the report and calling for a more detailed explanation from the FBI. Section 702 of FISA is set to expire next year unless reauthorized by Congress.
“For anyone outside the U.S. government, the astronomical number of FBI searches of Americans’ communications is either highly alarming or entirely meaningless. Somewhere in all that over-counting are real numbers of FBI searches, for content and for non-content—numbers that Congress and the American people need before Section 702 is reauthorized,” Wyden said.
“The FBI must also be transparent about the particular circumstances in which it conducted a staggering 1.9 million additional queries in 2021,” he said. “Finally, the public deserves to know whether the FBI has fully addressed the extensive abuses of its 702 search authorities that have been documented for years. Baseline transparency is essential if the federal government wants to hold such sweeping surveillance powers.”

Filmmaker: Documentary Proves Rampant Illegal Vote Trafficking in 2020

Filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza believes that evidence presented in his new documentary, “2000 Mules,” proves that large-scale, illegal vote trafficking occurred in the 2020 election.
D’Souza told The Epoch Times: “2000 Mules will settle the issue beyond a shadow of a doubt by using two powerful, independent modes of investigation. The evidence is so conclusive, so decisive, that it leaves nothing to argue about.”
The film opens in 300 theaters on May 2 and May 4.
D’Souza, who is a contributor to The Epoch Times, said an investigative team used cellphone tracking and video footage to prove that unauthorized intermediaries called “mules” collected thousands of absentee ballots from voters and deposited them in drop boxes for money, which is illegal in all 50 states.
Cellphones emit a unique and identifiable signal or “ping.” Trillions of pings were analyzed by investigators to reconstruct the movements of thousands of mules as they went about their work in the weeks prior to the 2020 presidential election, the documentary claims.
“Who would have ever thought that investigators could look back in time and discover such things?” D’Souza said.

Investigators also sifted through millions of minutes of video surveillance footage and were able to capture on tape numerous mules stuffing absentee ballot drop boxes, D’Souza said. The videos show the mules taking selfies of themselves as proof of services rendered to their employers in order to be paid, he said.
“Not all the drop boxes were under video surveillance, but enough were to provide incontrovertible evidence, much obtained from government entities,” he said. “’2000 Mules’ contains a lot of never-before-seen footage depicting glove-wearing mules moving from county to county delivering absentee ballots to drop boxes, often in the dead of night.”
Much of the film focuses on the state of Georgia, where, according to True the Vote—the organization that conducted the investigations—242 metro Atlanta mules made 5,668 stops at drop boxes during elections in late 2020.

Similar illegal activities were found in Arizona, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Michigan, according to the group. True the Vote estimates that at least 4.8 million votes were trafficked nationally. The studies were funded by the human rights organization First Freedoms.
Election fraud has been committed by both parties throughout U.S. history, and therefore “cannot be considered abnormal,” D’Souza said. “The Democrats have a particular history of committing specialized election fraud in urban areas.
“The COVID-19 pandemic created an opportunity to do fraud on a scale not imagined before. The avalanche of absentee ballots sent out and the drop boxes presented much greater opportunity.”
D’Souza said he’s worried about the Democrats’ push to centralize how elections are conducted at both the state and national levels.
“A united Republican opposition is the only thing thwarting Biden, Pelosi, and the Democrats from enacting their plans,” he said. “Across America, the Democrats are trying to get rid of election security measures imposed by the states. They want to legalize fraud.”
The infusion of private money to help pay for elections is something D’Souza finds “very disturbing.”
“The money is largely coming from nonprofits funded by billionaires like Zuckerberg. They pose as politically neutral, which they are not.
“Localities were pressured by the nonprofits to have things like drop boxes as a condition for receiving millions of dollars in grant funding.”
D’Souza said that in November 2020, nonprofits paid for programs and advertising that actively encouraged “certain people to come out and vote.”

According to the Zuckerberg-funded Center for Tech and Civic Life, the money was given to help municipalities cope with public health challenges presented by the pandemic.
“Through the movie ‘2000 Mules,’ we are taking on the ultimate taboo in American politics today—saying that the 2020 election was stolen by systematic, organized fraud committed by the Democrats and the left,” D’Souza told The Epoch Times.
Mindful of the power of cancel culture, D’Souza said great care has been taken to release the film on what he calls “un-cancellable platforms.”
“It’s hard to believe we have reached that point in America, but alas, we have,” he said.
“While I was a writer or a figure in a think-tank, I wasn’t bothered much. It was when I began to reach a wider audience that I became a political target.”
When asked why he’s willing to subject himself to possible cancellation, D’Souza said, “I am defending the system which made it possible for an immigrant from India, a boy at the bottom, to make my way up—a system that makes this kind of upward economic and social mobility possible.”
D’Souza has produced numerous documentaries, three of which are ranked in the top 10 highest-grossing political documentaries of all time.

US government frets over Musk-owned Twitter
The US government finds cause for alarm in “large social media platforms”
Billionaire Elon Musk’s acquisition of social media giant Twitter has seen the US government suddenly backing away from its embrace of such mega platforms. “No matter who owns or runs Twitter, the president [Joe Biden] has long been concerned about the power of large social media platforms [and] the power they have over our daily lives,” White House press secretary Jen Psaki stated during a press briefing on Monday after Musk officially bought Twitter for $44 billion.
Psaki insisted this sudden concern was unrelated to the Tesla tycoon’s latest purchase, claiming “our concerns are not new” with regard to the social media monopolies. Biden, she said, “has long argued that tech platforms must be held accountable for the harm they cause.”
The White House spokesperson insisted the administration was continuing to push for the repeal of Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, which offers platforms that host third-party content immunity from liability for user-supplied content, as well as antitrust and transparency enforcement against the social media behemoths.
“We engage regularly with all social media platforms about steps that can be taken,” Psaki claimed, adding that while she was “sure [this] will continue,” there were “also reforms that we think Congress could take.”
While there are multiple antitrust cases pending against Facebook, Amazon, Google, and Apple, Twitter has been in the regulatory crosshairs somewhat less often. However, it has received plenty of attention as the former online home of ex-President Donald Trump, from which he was exiled in January 2021 following the January 6 riot at the Capitol while he was still commander-in-chief. Some fear a Musk-led Twitter will give him back his account, though he remains banned from other mainstream social media outlets.
However, Trump told Fox News on Monday he plans to focus on TRUTH Social, his own social media network that debuted earlier this year, and would not return to Twitter even if Musk reinstated his page. Trump has also been a vocal supporter of repealing Section 230, which would align him with the White House if Psaki’s statements reflect the administration’s genuine position.
However, the Biden’s team have in the past praised such monopolistic platforms, admitting government officials had personally flagged ‘misinformation’ related to Covid-19 on Facebook, even while calling on the tech giants to do more to silence unauthorized viewpoints.
Musk has promised to make free speech central in his takeover of Twitter, and took the unusual step of calling for his “worst critics” to stay on the service, insisting this is “what free speech means.”
While his purchase had some on the platform frothing mad, Twitter stock was up 6% on the announcement of the acquisition.
Milwaukee Officials Sued in Zuckerberg-Related Election Bribery Case

Milwaukee’s acting mayor, former mayor, and city clerk have been accused of being involved in an election bribery scheme for accepting election-assistance money from a Mark Zuckerberg-funded activist group in the 2020 election cycle, according to a legal complaint filed with the Wisconsin Elections Commission.
The 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin was heavily litigated and is being investigated by the state Legislature. Wisconsin Republicans claim the election process was corrupt and fraud-ridden and have proposed decertifying the results even though they admit that doing so would not remove Joe Biden from the presidency.
The legal action comes after 16 states have enacted legislation to ban or regulate the acceptance and use of private funds by public election officials.
“We can’t undo the wrongs of the 2020 election,” said attorney Erick Kaardal, special counsel at the Thomas More Society, a nationwide public interest law firm that filed the complaint March 23.
“But it is incumbent upon us to ensure that the corruption that infected Wisconsin’s voting process is rooted out and that the state’s election integrity is preserved. Wisconsin’s voters deserve to know the truth and they need to be assured that the corruption has been eliminated, allowing for fair and honest elections from this point forward.”
Facebook founder Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, supporters of President Joe Biden and Democratic Party candidates, grabbed headlines during the 2020 election cycle by giving about $400 million to the Center for Technology and Civic Life (CTCL).
In 2016, then-candidate Donald Trump, a Republican, beat Democrat Hillary Clinton in Wisconsin by 22,748 votes. But in 2020 Joe Biden, a Democrat, beat Trump in the state by 20,608 votes, according to Ballotpedia figures. Critics claim the assistance provided by CTCL to Milwaukee and other heavily Democratic cities in the state may have put Biden over the top.
According to the Thomas More Society, the legal complaint details efforts by the Chicago-based CTCL “to usurp the administration of the election, a core traditional governmental function.”
“Under the guise of COVID-19 prevention and via the illegal dumping of private money into the municipal process, the Center for Tech and Civic Life handed control of the 2020 election in Wisconsin over to private partisan interests, in the form of its ‘partners.’”

CTCL is run and staffed by Democrats, according to the law firm.
Its president, Cristina Sinclaire, previously worked at the left-wing organizations, Catalist and the New Organizing Institute. Catalist was founded by Democrat Harold Ickes and boasts it was vital to former President Barack Obama’s victory in 2008. CTCL Executive Director Tiana Epps-Johnson previously worked for the New Organizing Institute and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights.
CTCL took the money from the Zuckerbergs and then distributed it in the form of grants to jurisdictions across the United States purportedly to help those governments hire more staff, buy mail-in ballot processing machinery, and pursue other measures they considered necessary to administer the elections during the ongoing pandemic. Critics complained that CTCL’s grants favored Democrats because they tended to go to the electoral apparatuses in Democratic strongholds and that the funds were part of an attempt to unfairly influence the outcome of the elections.
The complaint is cited as Engstrand v. Johnson. Complainant Jim Engstrand is a voter residing in Milwaukee. Respondent Cavalier Johnson, a Democrat, is the city’s acting mayor. Respondent Tom Barrett, a Democrat, is the city’s former mayor. Respondent Jim Owczarski is Milwaukee’s city clerk, a post he has held since 2012.
The complaint alleges that the city’s acceptance of money from CTCL to selectively facilitate in-person and absentee voting and to purchase and place absentee ballot drop boxes in Democratic Party strongholds constitutes bribery and is contrary to Wisconsin’s election bribery law known as Statute 12.11, and other state and federal laws.
The statute “is very aggressive with respect to election bribery of this type,” unlike in other states, Kaardal told The Epoch Times.
“The statute prohibits the city officials from taking anything of value to induce electors to go to the polls, whereas in other states,” the laws often specify that the voter has to be induced to vote for a specific candidate or “for one party or something.”
Specifically, the complaint states that Barrett and Owczarski made an agreement with CTCL to illegally accept $3.4 million to facilitate in-person and absentee voting in the city.
“It’s election bribery,” Kaardal said. “But what makes it more interesting now, is that one of the means for getting people out to the polls, the placement of absentee ballot drop boxes in targeted neighborhoods, has been found to be illegal by at least one court in Wisconsin.”
Zuckerberg’s money “was paying for a municipal election illegality,” Kaardal said.
“It was requiring it. It was asking the cities to do it. It was paying for the cities to do it,” he said, adding “no one’s really reported on that,” which is unfortunate, “because it really is newsworthy.”
